Very professional and kind service, I put my 2008 Prius to get a new battery, they offered me few options with a cheap price for all of them. Said itll take up to four business days and it took only one day to finish. I would definitely go back for everything that I need for my car

I drove to The Byers Eye clinic from Marin. I came out to the parking lot & my 06 Prius won t go over 20 mph. I learned from Prius Hybrid that this limp mode occurs when the main battery cells start failing. The repair team were able to install a refurbished battery & get me home before end of day! And the cost was much less expensive than it would have been in Marin! Couldn t ask for a better Father s Day gift. Peter

In Aug 2023 My Gen 2 Prius received the red triangle of death light. It was still driving fine so I made it home. I took it to my buddies shop and he scanned it with his OBD2 scanner. He printed out the 2 error codes I received. A quick google of the codes resulted that it was a hybrid battery issue & which cell was the issue. After some research I found Prius Hybrid Battery of San Jose. I tried giving them a call but it was a bit difficult to get a hold of a live person, but there were options to leave a message or text them. So I ended up sending them a text with my issues and sent them a picture of my OBD2 scan. They replied a while later with my options of repair. 1) $600 (repair the battery) 1 month warranty. 2) $1200 replace the battery with a refurb 1 year warranty. 3) $2600-3000 (cant remember the exact price) replace with new battery 3 year warranty. I went with the $600 quick fix option. They were really busy so it took them a few days before they could take my car in. I had a busy schedule but they were very accommodating with letting me drop of my car. I dropped off the car on a Saturday and got it back by Tue or Wed if I remember correctly. Its been 4 months since the repair and the car has been great. I would highly recommend this PHBofSJ to do your battery repairs.

My 2008 Prius suddenly stopped while on the road. Adam explained that he would run diagnostics not just on the battery but on the fuel tank gauge. He correctly intuited that my dashboard might be having problems (and I confirmed that it had glitched several times in the past year). With the dash not signaling the correct gas levels, the car ran out of fuel and then discharged the battery. Adam laid out the options for addressing the battery depending on how long I intend to keep the car no pressure or upselling. I ended up going with his recommendation to get a new one considering my car had relatively low mileage for its age. He also rebuilt my dashboard. A+ for the service, pricing, and Adam s level of communication.

Great customer service! Took my 2008 highlander hybrid in for a diagnostic on the battery and learned that I need to keep the vents under the front back seats clear so the batteries can breathe. Highly recommended.

My 2005 Prius with 195k miles had the death signals (triangle with the exclamation mark etc) showing. Pretty happy to find this company from Yelp & Adam is really great, just like what other customers have positively commented. Adam is genuine and he s willing to help people. My 2016 Nissan leaf needed a power distribution module replaced. Nearby dealerships wanted $5000. I took it to Adam and he diagnosed the problem for free and offered to do the job for less than $3000. He was extremely professional and very helpful. After talking with him at length about this and other EV issues it was clear that he understood EVs very well, extremely in-depth. I would go back to him in a heartbeat. It was a pleasure to talk with someone who thought about pleasing a customer rather than making a dollar. I highly recommend.

He calmly diagnosed the battery and offered an explanation on what broke. In addition, Adam shared clear pricing options: - a quick fix, - a refurbished battery replacement, - or purchasing a Toyota OEM factory replacement. Adam understands Prius electrical / engineering systems. He offers clear suggestions on how to fix issues (with trade offs, when necessary). I m returning as a loyal customer for my future needs. My catalytic converter was stolen leaving me in a panic. Adam talked me off the ledge and diagnosed my problem over the phone and even fit me in the same day despite having a packed schedule. He took the time to explain the complex supply chain issues with replacing the converters and went above and beyond to help me get my car back on the road. His prices are transparent and fair and the quality of his work is excellent. He even helped point out ways I could save in costs and is clearly someone who cares more about educating and helping people than about profiting off people. So lucky to have found an honest and knowledgeable mechanic and would recommend it to any Prius owner!

Adam has been a key provider in taking care of our 2007 high mileage Prius. From diagnostics, to hybrid water pump repair, and headlight ballasts they have done a fantastic job here. Mobile tech is available for certain jobs. Honest service at fair prices. A few restaurants nearby while I wait for the work to be done.
