Ryan's Automotive is a family-owned Auto Repair Shop in Windsor. Ryan's dad, John Hicks, opened the shop in the 70's as a body shop. Growing up in the automotive world Ryan developed a love for cars. He was swapping engines and repairing brakes on his own vehicles as a teenager. Over time he developed his craft as a Master Level Technician. After more than 2 decades working for the dealer Ryan threw in the towel to start his own shop. April Fools Day 2014 Ryan, and his wife Cheri, took over and put a new spin on the business. They turned the body shop into full service auto repair. Together, they built an atmosphere where customers feel comfortable and cared about, and employees feel inspired with lots of opportunity to grow their craft.

Unfair Pricing & Misleading Information! I had a very unpleasant experience at Ryan’s Automotive and feel like I was taken advantage of. The day before my appointment, I called to confirm Uber inspection details, and a man named Travis told me it would take 10 minutes and cost between $25-$30 max. However, when I arrived, Travis wasn’t there, and the inspection (which only took 10 minutes) ended up costing $72.80—way more than franchise shops charge. When I questioned the price, the front desk lady claimed it took 30 minutes and brushed off my concern. I always try to support local businesses, but this felt dishonest. I won’t return or recommend them for Uber inspections. 😞
When I called just to see if they could check out my car, Travis was very patient & got my car in right away. He explained everything before they did the work & kept me updated on progress along the way. Now my car practically purrs! I’m very happy with the quality of the work and the customer service. I only wish I’d switched repair shops sooner!
Excellent communication! Travis made sure I understood everything and gave me updates throughout the process. Service was fast and affordable, will definitely be bringing my car back and recommending the shop to friends and family!
From my first phone call to picking up my vehicle, everyone was super helpful and communicated clearly. I trusted that I was being told what needed to be done and was given options for services that weren’t essential. Such a great feeling to have in an auto shop especially when I don’t know much about cars. We will definitely be coming back for future service!
As a woman who doesn’t know a lot about cars and how they work, I am thankful to have found Ryan’s Automotive. I find them to be trustworthy, and reliable. I also appreciate that they provide an Uber to get me back home after dropping off my car. I highly recommend them.
