112 Airport Blvd, Watsonville, CA 95076, United States
Unpretentious hotel offering complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi & parking, plus a business center.
This room was disgusting. Stains on door frames and walls, mouse droppings, towels were unfolded and seemed dirty, TV is only 5 channels of HBO and nothing else, fridge had a dead spider and a lot of tape holding it together. The room felt as though it has never been fully cleaned. After a long day on the road this motel should be avoided if you need a comfortable and restful night.
Paid $176 and expected a decent place. There were no cups in the room, I had for a chair to be brought in as there was none in the room. The front desk attendant was nice and brought me a chair and coffee cups. Stains and hair on the bed, and the floor was sticky.
Positive: "" Negative: Rundown/unkempt. Mold in shower, no desk area, magnifying mirror and other things missing. Phone did not work. Dirty socks and hat left behind/not cleaned. Doors close 7pm - only people w/key could leave/enter. No vending machines. Used for farm housing.
Rooms: Nice but one of the two we bought needed cleaning, they took care of it right away. Service: As others have said, very friendly and personable Location: right next to the transit center works for me
I stayed for 2 weeks at the Comfort Inn, Watsonville and was surprised that it was one of the more comfortable low budget hotels I've stayed at. The room was clean when we checked in with good bedding and everything worked. The room was also quite spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when I had to continue my stay with several different reservation add-ons. I was also able to have my dog there for an extra nightly fee that wasn't o early outrageous. For the price, this is one of the better budget motels in the area.
Excellent service and the best game in town at a fair price. Front desk were very kind and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and everything worked fine. We had bought some meals but didn’t have any utensils and the front desk very kindly provided. Have stayed for several days on 2 occasions. Conveniently located a short walk to a shopping center that has Safeway, Rite Aid, etc. I’m thankful for this hotel in Watsonville because the other choices in town are.. well… not places I would stay. The previous poster who complained about lack of service arriving a day early is completely out of line. Watsonville isn’t a big city metropolis with all the big box stores. That negative poster could have easily walked a block to the Safeway, or requested utensils with his meals. He was obviously having a bad day and blaming it on the hotel.
This has got to be one of the worst run hotels I've ever been to. This review will apply to every single guest that stays here. There is rarely anyone running the front desk, so if you need anything, good luck with that. I wanted to check in a day early and just showed up to the hotel. I had to wait TWO HOURS for the on-call staffer to show up, who was clearly at home, as I heard children in the background. Later, I wanted to get a paper plate for my room so I could use the microwave, but again, no staff, so I had to wait, you guessed it, TWO HOURS, to get a paper plate. They lock the cafeteria up at 9 am, so if you don't get your supplies before then, good luck. They don't even open the front doors until sometime after 9-930 am. Means they are strict about their breakfast timetable but totally careless about guest services. It's a total mess. When I called the lady out for it being insane that there's no one staffed during regular business hours, she tried to blame me for not calling ahead to let them know I'd be coming in a day early. As if I should've known that this hotel wouldn't have anyone working at it. Not even an apology for the wait. They never even told me what time checkout is, so I guess I gotta figure that out myself, too. The cleaning staff are the only people you'll ever see regularly and unfortunately they have no power to provide guest services. My room was quite clean, so at least they're doing their job well. This is not a kid-friendly hotel. The majority of guests I've run into look like major junkies or drug dealers. I ran into one super stereotypically strung out lady as I was getting food delivery outside who ducked into a small little nook in the walls to do something and kept looking at me to make sure I wasn't watching her. Bet you can guess what that was. Regularly there are people just loitering in the parking lot. It's so sketchy. Makes the fact that they're cutting costs on guest services that much worse. There needs to be a security guard on staff. Or maybe the owners look the other way in exchange for their business. Unless you absolutely need to stay at this hotel, which unfortunately I did, due to its location near an auto shop I was doing business with, I would avoid it *at all costs*. I've literally never stayed in a hotel where there was no one staffed during regular business hours and that decision is bleeding into this place becoming a drug den. It's completely unacceptable behavior.
Traveling for work can be stressful and unpredictable. Nani at the front desk showed excellent customer service and went the extra mile to help me with my late booking after a very long trip she made my visit worth wanting to return. Also the cleaning staff in the morning shift were also kind and courteous. I am very pleased with my stay
Fine for 1 quick night. Of course it s a trash hotel, don t expect it to be clean and have nice breakfast
The worst hotel we have ever stayed in on our road trip. Normally comfort inns have a good standard, but this one is subpar. Dirt everywhere, on the towels, the floor and the bathroom. Breakfast was not available except for rotten toast. Everything sticky and dirty. The main door was with one Old computer cables closed. There was garbage everywhere in the parking lot and it looked like a garbage dump. Avoid this hotel!!!! The hotel should be closed by the health authorities or better yet, it should be demolished. The pictures are all fake pictures and do not correspond to reality. Rooms: Dirty and sticky. Even the hairdryer was sticky and dirty; we couldnt use it. Towels smelled and were dirty. Food and drinks: Breakfast not available. Everything dirty and rotten. Toast and bananas. Coffee machine and juice machine the worst we have ever seen.
Not in a safe area. Chains on front door. Couldnt get coffee at 625 am.
Everything is fine.
This is the worst motel ever! The beds are rock hard, and service is terrible. We were trying to relax the day we got in. The TV was in a language we did not speak, and no one would come show us how to change it. We tried everything. I do NOT recommend this motel.
Got a suite with a king bed and pull out couch. Got to the room, looked for the bedding for the pull out. There was none. Called the front desk to ask, they said theyd look for some and call me back. They never called back, never showed up. I went down, they were gone and locked the front door with an extension cord wrapped around the handles. Horrible customer service.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We tried calling several times for hours before checking in for the night. No one ever answered. When we arrived we were given the wrong room. We had reserved a room with a King bed. We were given one with two queens. The friends we traveled with had reserved a room and had requested a roll away bed. Upon arrival they were told they did not have roll away beds and did not provide that service. The service should not be available and given confirmation at the time of the reservation if it is not available. We were counting on it because we were traveling from out of town with children. When we finally got to our room the pull out sofa bed that was in the room had no bedding. We had gotten the pull out sofa bed to accommodate sleeping children. We called downstairs to ask for sheets/blankets for the pull out. The front desk said they would look for some and call back. We waited an extended period of time with no response. We called the front desk again with no response. When we went downstairs to see about the linens there was no one to be found. Just a note that said to drop off keys to check out. We were left with no covers. They knew we needed them and were waiting for them to call back. Instead they left without communicating with us and locked the doors with an extension chord. We managed the best we could by splitting the covers from the main bed. The pillow cases were also dirty with black marks. We ended up in the King Suite with the pull out sofa with no covers. There was also no desk/table or chairs in the suite just the bed and the pull out sofa. We had no where to sit in the bed area or anywhere to put our things down. We certainly didnt want to put our things on the ground for fear of roaches crawling in our bags. In addition we had to lay a towel on the ironing board because it was filthy. It looked as if someone ate on it and left their leftovers. It wasnt just stains it was food matter. DO NOT STAY HERE! It is DIRTY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY LOCK YOU IN (NOT SURE IF THIS IS LEGAL-THANK GOD THERE WAS NO FIRE)! In the morning when we asked about what happened at the front desk the response was we dont give out linens for the pull out bed. Then why do you offer it as an option? Why did your front desk offer to look for some the night before? Rooms: Dirty, dated.
This location is seemingly allergic to hospitality. I stayed three nights, and whenever I walked through the lobby it was dark and no one was working the front desk. I tried breakfast the first morning, and while it was on time, as other reviewers stated, there was no waffle batter, milk for cereal, or eggs (there was sausage, though). In less than ten seconds I walked out and decided to buy breakfast each day elsewhere. The rest of the hotel is very drab, dated, and dirty. I didnt check the first and second floor, but the third floor definitely didnt have a vending machine. The room I stayed in was fine, other than the AC not really working and one of the bedside outlets not working. As a result, I kept the window open at night to cool down. The cleaning staff did an excellent job on my room, and that was honestly the best part of the stay. If I hadnt stayed here for work, I wouldve been more unhappy with my stay.
The customer service in this place is shockingly bad. I don t typically write reviews but this seems like my only minor recourse for the poor service. Everything else is what you would expect from a comfort in.
I recommend not saying here. Upon arrival to the hotel, I called and texted hours ahead of time asking if it was OK to check in at midnight when we got there it was midnight we called the phone number on the door. Man came out really rude and told us that there is a rule or you have to check in before 11. I thought it was absurd. I have never heard of such thing every hotel that I ve been to you can check in at any time, the counter was rude disrespectful the same energy back and he told me if I was still rude to him. He would not give me a room as it was midnight and I was there with my family at the front counter. Does not want to be there does not work The rooms were also very smelly not that clean service was poor . Overall I have never been treated this way at a hotel before I saw all these reviews someone needs to get a different person at the front counter wish I could get a refund.
The comfort in this hotels name is a JOKE. First, the people that work at the front desk are incredibly rude. From the minute we walked in, the man there had a scowl on his face and there was no friendliness to his demeanor whatsoever. Every single day, sometimes twice per day, my key was deactivated. Every time I went to the desk, they gave me so much attitude before fixing it. The last time I was told that if it happened again, Id be charged for another key. Even though it is clearly not my fault that my keys arent working. The man raises his voice any time anyone asks for help of any sort. This man is the RUDEST worker I have ever experienced at a hotel. His wife was slightly better, but every time I spoke to her, she just called him in instead. I am not even sure if this man is CAPABLE of smiling at this point. The staffs entire family lives at this hotel, which is fine! What is NOT fine is how they all just hang out together in the lobby in the morning as if its their living room. Its very unprofessional, especially when theres nobody at the desk at those times. Matter of fact, theres nobody at the fromt desk, EVER. Their site said they have a $15/night pet fee. So why was I charged $56/night!?!?!?! I paid it because what other choice did I have, but $41 more!? Per night!? Also, there is no pet area in the parking lot, like most pet friendly hotels have. So what did I even pay a fee for!? The free breakfast is pathetic. There was never any waffle batter for the waffle machine. The muffins are tiny. There was no juice. The coffee was gross. Some of the food was spoiled. Half of the reason I even booked this hotel was because they were supposed to have breakfast. I had to buy breakfast daily, which was yet ANOTHER expense added to my trip due to the negligence of this hotel. Sure the rooms are cheap but with all the extra expenses, I paid almost DOUBLE what I was expecting. The room wasnt awful but it was dirty. It looks like the last people who were here got mad and threw a soda at the wall and nobody cleaned it up. Im worried they are going to blame me and try to charge me for it, but lets be real, the cleaning staff probably doesnt even notice. After reading the other reviews, it wouldnt surprise me if they didnt. I will be looking into who I can file complaints with regarding this hotel. I cant believe the uncleanliness, the extra fees, and the sheer audacity of the front desk staff. Nobody should be treated like this, especially not paying customers. I could keep going on & on, but I will just leave it at this.... DO NOT stay at this hotel. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
I stayed here few days ago. When I stepped into the lobby the front desk guy Greeted me with a positive attitude. Room is Good along with fridge, microwave. There is a complimentary breakfast which is nice.
The lady was nice and cant say much about her . But the guy has this attitude with my 10 year old son .
The room was decent, clean with microwave and freeze, comfy bed. Liked it. But the breakfast was pathetic. We didnt expect full fledged breakfast, but at least one item? Breakfast was from 6.30 to 9am, I went there at 7.30am. No egg, no bred, very little cereal without milk, waffle mix was spoiled, yogurt was spoiled. Waited for 10 minutes no one came to top up. And it is on a Saturday close to tourist spot. Such a shame. One of the reason I selected this hotel was breakfast and this was the disaster. I would never ever recommend this hotel unless you just want to sleep for few hrs. And I would never come to any Comfort Inn in future. Enough.
If I could give this location zero stars I would! First, I had someone trying to get into my room at around 11 at night. Later that same night the front desk worker knocked on my door and demanded I give him my name. If that is not enough, in the morning when we went for breakfast there was not one item available to eat!!!! There was cerial but no milk, and the yogurt and waffle mix were spoiled!!! Would never come here again! I didnt even get a good sleep because I was worried someone was going to break-in into my room where my kids were sleeping. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL place!
Hello , I had booked this hotel for my family. And stayed for 1 night. I really loved this place. The front desk guy is very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. We had the best breakfast ever. Kudos to them. We were the at 7:15 a.m for breakfast and loved their quality. Gonna definitely visit this place again and recommend to my friends and also book it for my employees soon
My stay at Comfort Inn was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The front desk guy, whose name I unfortunately didnt catch, went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. His friendly demeanor and helpful attitude set the tone for a wonderful stay. The room was immaculate, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a restful nights sleep after a long day of travel. Now, lets talk about breakfast we were there at 8:55 AM thinking that they would ran out, But still able to find some. an absolute delight! The buffet spread offered a wide variety of options to suit every palate. From fresh fruit to fluffy pancakes, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations, and the dining area was kept clean and inviting. Overall, my experience at Comfort Inn was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of top-notch accommodations, delicious breakfast, and outstanding customer service made for a truly memorable stay. I cant wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good experience. Many thanks to the front desk guy and the entire staff for making my stay so enjoyable!
We had a fantastic stay at this motel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home and were always available to help with any questions we had. One thing that really stood out to us was how seriously they take safety. We felt completely secure during our stay, and the motel grounds were well-lit and monitored. Its clear that they prioritize the safety and well-being of their guests, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.
We stopped on our way down the coast. They charged more than Expedia quoted me, the service was slow and very unprofessional. Don t stay here. Rooms: The beds were saggy and had not been vacuumed. Food and drinks: The breakfast was NOT fresh! The eggs and sausage had been reheated from the day before. The bread was stale. There were 2 mini muffins available. The coffee was so weak, it looked like tea. There was not creamer- just milk. Worst breakfast at a hotel that I ve ever had.
Tried a walk in today. No one showed up to receive me after ringing bell 3 times. Went back to my place and tried calling, I ask for the cheapest room for the night and the front desk responds with a low voice I couldnt understand, I ask again how much, he replies you can check online and hangs the phone on me, I call again and he does the same thing. I will never try this place again. Rude!
* DO NOT BOOK UNTILL YOU READ THIS REVIEW * Where do I start. If there were a rating of zero stars thats what I would have given this place. The first room I got at this place had a huge stain that greeted you at the front door it was dirty upon examinating the mattress there was bed bug poop in the seams and on the mattress. I did not see a live one only their poop. The manager, a small middle-aged man, did give me another room when I pointed it out to him. The second room was a bit cleaner and the mattress did not have any signs of bed bug poop. The second room sheets had several large stains on them. They did look like they had been washed but they were stained so I requested that they be replaced. Breakfast was not made in the morning although it was 8:00 a.m. the managers wife she was pleasant offered to make me some hard-boiled eggs which I took on the go with me to work. After pilling the first egg and taking a bite I thought it was soft-boiled since something oozed in my mouth it turned out to be rotten! I then peeled and checked the other two eggs and they were also rotten and moldy from the inside. When I brought this to the managers attention and told him I wanted to check out and wanted a refund he proceeded to scream, yell and swear at me telling me to get the hell out! He continue to swear and scream at me I told him I would call the police but he didnt care and he didnt care what the customer thought! The bad reviews that you have read are absolutely true!! I have never ever had such a horrible traumatizing experience as I had at that hotel. My recommendation to anyone is never ever stay here! I will post my pictures and hopefully they will not be taken down so you can see for yourself. They definitely need the health department alerted to this place. I truly regret not taking more pictures of the filthy rooms and not videotaping the manager as he went off on a rage on me. As I read some of the past post against the manager and is abusiveness towards the customers I should have called the police and filing a complaint for the verbal assault against me. I am hoping that the owners do contact me for further explanation. Hopefully they will fire this manager. This remains to be seen. They certainly need the health department alerted.
Breakfast wasnt served until 7am!
Great place quiet and pet friendly
Pictures show microwave and refrigerator but neither. No night stands on either side. No breakfast. Wont be coming back.
This place was very nice, I visited Santa Cruz solo and for the first time, it was affordable, clean, bed was very comfortable I guess thats why they call it the comfort inn. Sheets, towels, floors looked smelled clean, there was a couch and a chair in my room that looked a lil questionable so I just didnt sit on them. I felt very safe here and actually was glad I ended up staying here and not right in downtown by the beach because that area looked a little rough. Small town so about a 5min drive to the beach and boardwalk. There was a free big breakfast and a Dennys, donuts, McDonalds, burger place all in walking distance too. The girl that checked me in was friendly and welcoming.
If you like cleanliness don t stay here. Rooms are rundown, have an odor, and I doubt the sheets were washed. The hotel is right next to the road and you can hear each passing car. There were three pillows for a king bed and they were the size of throw pillows. My stay was uncomfortable. Towels were old and raggedy and the they don t provide shampoo bottles.
Rooms: Rooms were clean and have a mini fridge and microwave Noteworthy details: Check in is at 3:00pm but we arrived at 1:30pm and were able to be accommodated and check in early. We stayed 2 nights and came and went, breakfest was very yummy.
No fridge or night stands. No complimentary soap or shampoo.
Owner was very nice but location is horrible. Gunshots in parking lot, police chasing suspect. Used needles in parking lot. Good ice cream shop across street.
Kashmira, hope I spelled her name right. Was the friendliest. She remembered me from a business trip, which I stayed here months earlier. Clean rooms great location. Thank you!! Walkability: Easy walk to local stores and shops.
Weird knowing nobody stayed there. We had the motel to ourselves. Nobody checked in while we were there.
Worst motel Ive ever stayed in. Incredibly disrespectful staff. Would give 0 stars if I could
I had one of the worst experiences at this place. Went to visit my family and booked through a third party website. Checked in my hotel like normal and took my belongings into my room. The following day I left all day on a trip to San Francisco and came to my room key being deactivated. Turns out this man confused me and put me in a room from a different family that had purchased 2 rooms accidentally and they had paid only 1 night. Called the police to see if they could help me. Police was able to see that these people made the mistake of confusing me with someone else s family. They claimed I was with them and didn t assume responsibility of the mistake they made. Horrible way to end our trip. Never will be staying here.
Its an inexpensive hotel and it was exactly what I needed for the night.
I reserve a room , no smoking area , it had a bad smell , and hot the ac unit was not enough
Good room
Ami I like comfort inn but what I dont like is that they dont have someone who answers in Spanish to be able to communicate more clearly, thank you
No breakfast or coffee despite what website says. Carpet disgusting. A/C didnt work. Cleaning is clearly not a priority. Stained polyester sheets.
Took them 45 min to open the door .
Very clean hotel. Complementary breakfast is nice and free wi-fi is great. If you are on a business trip their businesses center comes in handy.
I will never stay at this hotel again... They promote, CHOICES Privileges of a Comfort Inn and it is a motel quality... the couple who owns, bless their hearts are trying to keep their doors open if you have a key... when we arrived it was barricaded by an extension cord unless you have your key you cant get back into the hotel... the bed we slept on is a 20-year-old bed, with a plastic cover on it so you sweat when you slept... my flip flops stuck to the floor...DONT PAY for something that isnt worth it! Oh and at a Comfort inn you should have the little bottles of Shampoo....nope, packets... how do you open packets of shampoo in the shower... slipping everywhere... I went to the front desk and no one was there
Its alright.
Theyre closed completely, do not come here.
I had reserved a room the same day. When I had entered and tried to tell them I had reserved a room the guy did not accept me. He kicked me out even though I had reserved my room. The guy was on edge. I do not understand why he would do that to me. I reserved for a room. I did not reserve to be disrespected. I reserved to be accepted. For anyone who is trying to get a room please think twice. This guy and lady where messed up and unfair now I have no where to sleep. I am upset and confused.
Very good
Amazing staff clean cozy rooms with comfy beds and pet friendly a pleasure to stay here
It was cool
Covid 19 response shelter for at unsheltered high risk to shelter in place during pandemic
Very small for the price and room smelled like piss. Edit after writing this the shower doesnt drain either do yourself a favor spend ur money somewhere else... re:edit the hotel manager read this review then as retaliation for my review charged a hundred dollars to my card for fake damages 2 days later... This place is bad news!
The people were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was above average
Beautiful people who own this Comfort Inn. Wanted to give a 5 star review, we had room 105 extremely noisy. Beds are very firm and hard to get comfortable.
Clean, comfortable and quiet. Really enjoyed my stay
UPDATE: They DID have my ID. After calling 7 times total the motel staff confirmed they have my ID. The last time I called, the employee who answered tried to deny that they kept my ID, however she was the one who found it and confirmed the motel still had it. The time I called prior to this, I was told I would get a call back confirming if they have my ID (which they didn t). It took me calling again. It was so funny, because after I had already confirmed that my ID was indeed there, right away a different staff member (who had told me he would call me back, which he never did) called me telling me my ID was there. As if I hadn t already confirmed it with someone else. It s like he forgot and suddenly remembered when I called again. Staff was super nice, but not very helpful when it came to my situation that they created. I wish more responsibility was taken, because I was seriously considering suing. The ID that was kept with them was a work authorization card, and it is almost time to renew it. Now I am a few weeks behind because of this, and since I ve already been delayed on getting it back, it s possible I won t renew on time (the process takes time). There is a possibility that I can be terminated from my current job because of this ordeal. Tragic. Service was great, staff was great, room was clean, BUT the front desk lady NEVER gave me back my ID. It was my first time staying at a hotel so I thought it was policy for them to hold on to it, and that I would get it back at the end of my stay. I checked out and asked for my ID. Older woman says she gave it back to me. I knew for a fact I didn t get it back, even though she insisted, but I just went about my day as usual and gave her the benefit of doubt and thought maybe I did get it back . I looked everywhere and it was not found. It s been a few weeks and I STILL don t have it. The ID I have is not a normal California ID. It is US government issued, and VERY hard to replace. It is extremely disappointing that they would mishandle something as sensitive as this. side note: I have called about it and have not received any information regarding the whereabouts of my ID. I know for a fact they didn t give it back to me.
Excellent service and staff
Excellent Service! The staff was very friendly. They made me feel at home right away. Everything was immaculate. Breakfast was well stocked. I highly recommend Comfort Inn at Watsonville!
Yeah my friend Monica treated me to a night boy What a night to remember
It is very good and comfortable
Its just okay nothing here to see.
Great staff
Loud
Great staff, great price. Not fancy but had a quiet, clean, comfortable place to sleep and a great breakfast. I would stay here again.
great environment, clean and quiet! They lady at the front desk was very nice. Overall, I have nothing to complaint about and was waaaaay better then the last inn I stayed at.
Would of liked it better if I wasnt situated on the road side. Very noisy at night.
Never opened the breakfast area on time. Signage on the check in desk says open at 6:30 AM. I went downstairs at 7AM each morning of my stay. The first instance, the lady behind the counter said to give her a couple minutes to get it ready. When I went back from my room for a second cup of coffee, I was followed and observed from the same lady. She seemed to think I was there to steal something. Weird vibe, they blockade the front door with a bellman s cart each night. I will find a different hotel on my next trip to Watsonville.
Very nice place, very confortable!
Great
I was here with my wife on a business trip last week.Upon checkin there was nobody at the front desk, room smelled, comforter had stains, when asked for towels middle eastern lady was rude, terrible service, also very little food in the breakfast area, fruit was half rotten.
My son and I had rented a room at a different motel down the street. they were so rude and difficult we had to find another room spur of the minute. Not only was it easy , the staff were great and the place was clean . Quiet no one bothered u, restful good job comfort inn, we will be back ! So clean comfortable thank u for making our stay so wonderful!
The manager just called. He was very upset because of the honest review I submitted. He actually yelled at me over the phone. I hung up. I m totally amazed at the unprofessionalism of this staff
We tried to stay here and were kicked out. My kids and I arrived and nobody was at the front desk. There was what appeared to be a door to a break room just inside the office, and the office door had been left opened. I continually called for help by saying Hello? Hello? Anybody here? With no response. After 5 minutes and no help, I walked through the open office door and looked into the break room. Again I asked hello? Anyone here? An elderly woman appeared from another door in the back of the break room and said someone would be right with us. I thanked her and went back to the counter. Finally, a younger girl came out and checked us in. Everything seemed to be fine. I went out to the car and grabbed my bags and when I came back in and was heading to my room, the young woman asked Did you go into our secured area? I informed her that the door was wide open and nothing on or near the door stated that it was a secure area, and that we were just looking for someone to help us. The woman said that her mom had been frightened, and she informed us that we had to leave. I plead with the woman, stating that we had a 3 hour drive to get home, and apologized if I had scared the woman. The young woman then threatened to call the police. I informed her that I was an off duty police officer and that her mother was never in any danger, and I did not yell or come at her in any kind of startling or aggressive way. The young woman still insisted we leave and still decided to call the police. An officer arrived within seconds and asked what was going on. I explained the entire situation to him and he stated We have problems here all the time. He then recommended a few local hotels, however we could not find one to accommodate our family anywhere from Watsonville to Scott s valley, and ended up driving the 3 hour drive back home. These people ruined our night and the plans we had for the next day!
To start the whole place smells like curry. Not sure why hotel owners dont take time to clean the common areas and not have the place smelling like chicken marsala Find another place. We booked this thinking it allows pets and they charge extra. Parking sucks. No pool as there booking said. Dirty rooms.
Good place. Nice staff. Clean rooms with microwave and a small fridge.
Very clean.
Toilet needed fixed (would run constantly if plunger wasnt manually pulled) but other than that all good.
Pretty much what you would expect for the price. Room was clean. The breakfast area was super noisy.
This was a good experience except our bed was VERY HARD and made sleeping difficult. Otherwise all was good. Clean, quiet and handy for our purpose.
Bad
It was an amazing hotel. The beds where comfortable, the rooms where clean, and the woman at the front desk was so accommodating and kind!! I felt very welcomed and, the free breakfast was well prepared. I recommend this hotel.
A perfectly fine Comfort Inn. Fast internet and everything seemed clean
Would have given 5 if it wasnt located on a high traffic street, comfortable beds and pillows, clean room, carpets and minor details could redone. Lady at counter upon checkout extremely concerned about the quality of my stay so the owners do care.
Very clean & cozy environment. A well run establishment. It was a great choice.
Its a good place to rest
would not reccomend this place, the faucet on the sink fell off as soon as it was touched, obviously staff knew it was broken, staff spent 5 minutes trying to get it to work, you had to pull upwards on the door very hard to get it to shut to a locked position, the blackout curtains did not have a track to close them to block out morning light. i paid $507 cash when we checked in, when i checked out the bill was $542, they could not explain the additional cost except that the desk clerk made a mistake, they did move us to another room, but still, should not have had to go through this as i paid good money for a 3 night stay.,,will not stay their again.
My family stayed in a suite and used the sofa bed. The sofa bed was pretty comfortable and the main bed was comfortable. Over all, our stay was good. Breakfast had eggs, pancakes, toast, and cereal. The room was fairly clean, but there were some splatters on the door. The several repairs were obvious through out the room because the paint colors didnt match. This is the second time weve stayed there and both times weve had excellent customer service.
When I went into their little dining area they complained about my service dog being in the dining room who was appropriately wearing her service dog vest and in full service dog mannerisms.
Breakfast options are limited, and the elevator is very slow, but everything is comfortable.
Staff was very limited for check in and check out. But rooms were clean. Would stay here again.
The comfort in Watsonville was very clean, the rooms were very nice, staff was very helpful.
PLEASE READ!!! I would not recommend this Comfort Inn! The first night i stayed in my room, the toilet wasn t working and the walls were awfully scratched and had holes. Even the shower head was not installed correctly. The manager, Uday Patel, said he put a temporary fix on the toilet but it turned out that it wasn t working even after that. Instead of having the peace at mind to use the restroom in my room that i paid for, i had to go out of my way to use the bathroom in the hotel lobby whenever i needed to go. In the morning after breakfast, i requested either a refund, change of rooms, or for the manager to help me get another room at a hotel that can give me what i pay for. As a result of reaching out to the manager, Uday Patel (manager of Watsonville Comfort Inn) raised his voice in anger and said he could give me a refund if i check out of my room and leave. I told him i will stay at the room, he replies by saying that he will call his maintenance guy later to fix the room. THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE! Choice Hotels need to give me my money back for this horrible stay at this Comfort Inn as well as give Uday Patel some more training to learn how to speak with customers instead of fighting and yelling at with them. If i could give negative stars i definitely would.
Bed was hard but people were nice.
Nice little place
Clean and spacious but noise from the road is a bit too loud
Nice modern hotel, rooms are a bit small but seems mostly used for contractors or airport layovers/delays. Theres a Grocery store a few blocks down so everything needed is within a brief walk
Superb beds/ crisp linens. Thank you. Paint job on bathroom door, hallway carpet, a bit rundown. Hard boiled eggs a treat. Powdered coffee creamer, no. Real half & half or creamer, please. Makes such a difference.
The owners were very friendly and welcoming to our family of 5 and 2 dogs.
Great clean rooms. Quiet, even if our room was right next to the elevator. Will come back if we are staying in Watsonville again.
Rude
Great bang for your buck hotel
No complaints. Dark room, adequate bed and very nice man working the desk
Friendly service, clean rooms, and a peaceful nights sleep. Couldnt ask for anything more.
Comfortable room, good breakfast. Slow checkin.
Great service, A++ for free high speed internet, rooms are clean, good size TV, free Breakfast. Very nice place to spend a night. Maybe a bit pricey but location and service is good.
I like the fat they have a microwave and fridge in the room. They have a nice continental breakfast in the morning as well.
Very nice hotel for the money and location, also one of the few pet friendly places we could find in the Monterey area. Also had a pretty good breakfast selection all in all a great place to stay.
Nice rooms fair price
I had a great stay. It was quiet and I slept very well. Management were good people. I had a nice conversation with the gentleman when I checked in. He was very helpful with my questions about the town. I felt welcome from the beginning of my stay to the end. I will definitely be staying here on my future trips to Watsonville. Thank you.
Find somewhere else to stay
Terrible. Manager hollered at us for having service dog and tried to say we were fraudulent. This hotel was in watsonville Indian dude was rude
Nice comfortable beds
Ehhh
Excellent service, the managers are very nice
Booked through priceline and charged through priceline but hotel charged me again so i was double charged
Rooms fit 2 people and luggage well, are well appointed, and clean. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Parking lot is spacious and easy to maneuver. Hotel is close to the highway and easy to get to.
Just didnt enjoy it.people coming and going all hrs .
I travel all of the time and have never had a worst experience than our stay at the (un)comfort Inn in Watsonville. I booked several rooms and the manager gave away my room to another guest and charged me to correct the issue. The manager yelled at me when I tried to clarify my booking situation. I spent over an hour explaining my issue and the clerk the night before and finally he told to speak to the manger in the morning. In the morning the manager would not even listen but instead spent the whole time trying to shut me up by yelling at me. He actually told me that it was my fault because I was not there at the time he gave my room away. I was shocked by his treatment. To top it off, the room was in poor condition, the hairdryer didnt work, the tub porcelain was peeling, and we were woken up at 9am on a Saturday by workers in the room above us pounding on our ceiling, moving furniture around and using electric saws.
It was a pleasant overnight stay that Im sure would have been better in a few weeks as it is working on improving the layout.
Good location in Watsonville. Rooms were clean. We didnt have hot water. It got lukewarm at best.
Just great! Really great customer service! The place is clean and looks good, def one of the good complementary breakfast out there, sure will stay again, and thank you!
Good hotel
The feature that always impresses me the most about a hotel or a room, is the quality of the bed. This place has such incredibly comfortable beds. They use Sealy mattresses with pillow tops. It is like sleeping on air. The pillows are large and comfortable, the room is perfectly clean. There is a shopping mall close to here for food and for restaurants, and it has a full breakfast in the morning. The amenities are Immaculate, the staff is perfect and pleasant, and the easy chair with the footstool is a great touch in the room. I would definitely come here again and use this place every time Im in town.
This is what you hope for when you stay at a Comfort Inn, decent price, nice bed, good breakfast and blazing fast Wi-Fi. Definately a keeper for future visits.
clean and friendly staff
Rooms are small, breakfast is unimpressive, very low budget. Would not recommend
Decent location. Not far from local beaches. Rooms are clean and fairly modern. Small bathrooms.
The room was comfortable. The lady checking us in wrote all of my credit card information down on a piece of paper (security code expiration and everythinflg) and I had to ask her to give it to me. Her boss was standing right there and he swiped my card but never said anything to the lady about not writing down peoples cc info. Besides that the room was clean, breakfast was okay.
The people who work and own!
Great service terrible rooms , when we first arrived at the hotel our bathroom was dirty, filthy ! Then when I called them down there to look at it they offered me a different room that reaked of cigarettes even though the hotel is supposed to be smoke free. The staff was very friendly and tried to deal with the problems, but overall I wasnt satisfied.
Everything was good. We were happy with our stay. The price was more than we wanted to pay but comparable to other areas nearby.
This is my second time that the beds have same blankets and sheets that were used by prior people and that house keeping doesnt changed them if they see bedding clean they leave it nasty I dont care if it looks clean I dont want to lay where someone else did who knows what they did in those blankets and sheets the only person who listen to me about changing them is front desk employee Owners know about bedding not getting changed or bathrooms arent cleaned and they dont care and if you tell they just give you the run around
The bed is comfortable and the check in lady was very nice and made sure that we were comfortable.
All good. Friendly staff, clean and large room, typical breakfast. Free coffee machine on first floor providing mocha, cappuccino, hot chocolate, ...
Great Rooms, horrible service. Pros 1) Nice rooms. Clean, newer, great TV 2) good Value to door 3) new hotel. Well maintained outside Cos 1) Horrible Breakfast. Undercooked meat products. Poor selection. 2) Bad check inn. Poor trained or did not care. Over 20 minutes...no one in front of us or behind. 3) Pet Friendly room on third floor not close to a exit??? Probably not a Pet Room?? 4) Told us book on line not at front desk?? Defensive manager.
Clean, comfortable
Excellent service, very friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast.
Firstly the rooms restroom door wasnt locking. Went to have breakfast after 8am and most of the stuffs was out, got a pre-wrapped pastry only to find out that theres mold inside so showed it to their breakfast lady and she just threw it in the garbage with no reaction seems like this happens all the time. So went out for my day and upon my return my room was flooded with toilet water, it over flowed. So called front desk and an attendant came for help who was very apologetic and very kind. She moved me to a separate room and apologizing the whole time. Manager showed up after 10 minutes with no apologies or nothing saying why I didnt close the toilet valve which made me stunned. So I told him that this 2nd rooms sink is blocked and water is not going through, he went back and returned with a pink liquid detergent which he poured in the sink and told me not to use it and dont call him. Upon checking he was on the phone and never greeted or apologized for once, his name is Mr. Patel. Seems like he dont give a damn about his customers. This is my worst experience in a hotel and I travel a lot and stay in hotels. Most pathetic customer service I have received in my life. Ill never recommend Choice Hotels or Comfort Inn to nobody, this was my first and last. Hope I can give 0 star to this unhygienic hotel.
The staff were polite and helpful, and the accommodations were clean and pleasant. While we would have appreciated the building being a bit cooler during a record breaking heat-wave, our rooms a/c worked beautifully. Breakfast was well stocked with a decent selection of breakfast fare.
Rotten hotel nothing worked and no ac in the lobby
Clean and modern building with a friendly staff. A good choice for a business accommodation.
Gorgeous hotel with clean, comfortable rooms, at a great price
The rooms are nice and the beds are comfy. The rooms have tvs with cable and there is free wifi. There is breakfast in the morning. It was a great nights sleep and great breakfast. That being said the towels in both rooms I got for the night were dirty and covered in hair. The hotel is located on a busy street so you hear every car driving by and what people are doing in the parking lot (drinking and yelling). There were fireworks going off from God knows where all night. The water pressure waa terrible. The toilets would not flush.
Awesome! The rooms are clean nice tv microwave and fridge the air conditioner had the room feeling good. And the staff. Especially the lady I wish I knew her name. Was so helpful and worked so hard to make the costumer happy. And lastly the breakfast was really good. The Waffles from the waffle maker are amazing fresh, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Id stay here anytime.
Awesome place to get some good rest
Breakfast was better than i thought. I just wish i spoke Spanish so i could communicate better with staff.
Management was good, efficient, was good location for our particular travel and visit...breakfast on site was a bonus
The Comfort Inn in Watsonville is truly that - comforting and welcoming. The location is convenient, just off Highway 1. Check in and check out very efficient. Rooms are well appointed. The bed and pillows were heavenly, and the bathroom had real and extra fluffy towels, not the flimsy ones found in so many hotels these days. Breaskfast is included and an excellent value. We highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.
Super
Happy with stay
Lots of things were not working in the room.
Kinda noisy could hear the guests jumping and running from the room above.
Friendly, clean and promptly responded to requests.
Good sleep, good breakfast and nice staff.
So far so good!
Nice clean place, no pool.
Good staff very helpful and friendly.
Clean, good receptionist or front desk lady was nice
Send family ran.
This hotel is run by an East Indian family who are very friendly and anxious to make your visit pleasant and comfortable. Their room rates are also the best deal in the area.
Very clean and nice rooms for an affordable price.
Okay
Great service and awesome accommodations. The rooms are beautifully decorated
Nice clean hotel with good amenities. The neighborhood was very interesting during a 3-4 mile run...
