Our heater shut down on Christmas Day. Our usual HVAC service was closed for the holiday week so we called around the next day and found friendly and fast service with 5 star! They came out the 26th in a reasonable time window, on time, made the repair quickly, and explained how we can try to help prevent this repeat problem from happening again. The price was good and they did not try to take advantage of us around the holidays. I have already recommended them to family. Highly recommend. We will use them again and will try them for plumbing services as well. We are happy to find a local, honest, and reliable family business for our repair needs. We are warm and grateful. We wish we found them years ago!
When I told James that I was a teacher and had to take time off to meet him, he was prompt in his arrival time, great customer service, and very professional. He does high quality work. I highly recommend him.
I don't think this place is in business anymore. I called on a Friday and a guy answered and said he could come to my place on Monday between 3-5. He never showed up. I called back the next week on Monday (an entire week after the no show) and no one answered, so I left a voicemail. I didn't get a return call so I called back Wednesday morning and no one answered. I called back Wednesday afternoon, no answer. I called back Friday and left another voicemail because no one answered. It's officially been eight days since my last voicemail and fifteen days since the missed appointment without hearing from them, so I think they went out of business.
They answered the phone and someone was here before the end of the day. My 30 year old heater installed in a small attic crawl space was not heating. They found the problem of a broken $60 part and charged a reasonable amount for labor. Was toasty warm in my home by nightfall. Thank you so very much, 5 Star Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning. You deserve your name!
John and Ramiro showed up on time and fixed my gas leak within two hours. Before calling 5 Star Plumbing, I received a $3,800 quote by another plumbing company in town to repair the gas leak. That is when I knew I needed to call around for another plumber. 5 Star Plumbing was able to repair my gas leak for a fraction of the cost. I can’t thank them enough for being responsive, fixing the leak, and saving me thousands of dollars.
They were so helpful & kind! They diagnosed the problem with the heater & the air conditioner as soon as they checked out both! The owner went out of his way to get us a part that was $200 less than if he'd got it around Watsonville, CA. Highly recommend this company & will definitely call them in the future with any new HVAC issues! Thanks 5 Star! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
They installed central heat in a 2 story 115 yr old Victorian for me. Wonderful job. They also maintain doing annual service on all heaters in my rentals and home. Today replaced a thermostat. Responsive, professional, I highly recommend them.
I hire a lot of commercial subcontractors and 5 star has been among the very worst I have had the misfortune to come across. Completely unprofessional, unable to get a quote to out, incapable of using email or responding to simple texts. Constantly lying on the phone about calling back for scheduling the work (they never call back after saying they will). Look at the “email address” on their card, attached. It’s clueless and laughable. Avoid these clowns and hire a pro. If they did not want to do my project after giving a verbal quote, fine, just tell me. But don’t string me along and waste my time. I found a responsive mechanical subcontractor for the job who were cheaper and professional. So should you.
