They got me in same day for an alignment on my lifted vehicle. Will go back for other services

Charged me $400 for diagnostic, feel like I was taken advantage of because I don’t know about cars and am a woman. Wanted me to pay before service was even done and only cash. Also could not provide itemized receipt like other shops Ive been to. Was desperate so I paid but they said the car would be done by end of day and then called to say they needed to keep it over night. Will never come back here!

I went to this shop bc they are somewhat reputable, however I had some issues. I had them do an alignment on my vehicle. They charged a competitive rate, however it took them 7 hours and when complete they told me that they could not align 1 wheel due to needing a new lower control arm. The paperwork showed that wheel was worse after they worked on it. After some months, I was chewing thru tires on the opposite wheel. I took it back and they did attempt to re-align it and diagnose for free. Their diagnosis was that I needed a new lower control arm and that it would fix the problem. They told me to buy the part from Audi - not another auto parts store which would have been much cheaper. They charged me $300 for the labor to install the control arm, and although I gave them plenty of advance notice of when the part would arrive and I would be bringing the vehicle in, it took them 2 whole days. Once finished and I paid, they informed me that even though they had assured me that the control arm was the issue, it only HALF fixed the problem. The wheel would still only align halfway back to spec. Didn't offer any options to get it right - just shrugged his shoulders. Would be 1 star but they did take the time to explain some details to me so I understood, however this included assumptions and guesses about why there was an issue. Also, nobody there is ASE certified, or has ANY certifications other than the CA state minimum certs to legally operate a repair shop, and only the owner is certified to REPAIR vehicles - but there are a good few other techs doing so . . . . Also, they only accept cash. What large shop does that these days??? Makes me a little suspicious. I also went back recently just to ask how much they would charge just to lift up the vehicle and identify the source of a possible coolant leak, they quoted $120. I went to another place in Santa Cruz that charged me only $20 AND helped me in identifying that the leak was from a loose hose and we just wiggled it back on and clamped.

Went for an alignment on my truck and they quoted me $140 however they told me that caster and camber bolts were installed wrong and charged be an additional $60 to flip them and took them 2 hours however I went to another shop in Salinas and the mechanic told me that the caster and camber bolts can not be installed incorrectly so they lied to me to get a total bill of $200 I do not trust this place and would not recommend it to any one

Great service and very honest staff! Took my car in for a repair/replacement and was given a reasonable quote. When I went to pick it up, the tech told me the job turned out to be way easier than originally thought, so they re-quoted me at half the original price. Who does that anymore? Was blown away and is why I'm putting the effort to give them great praise. I've been taking my vehicles there for years and I'm sure I'll continue to do so.

I just want to share that this is the most amazing place! Especially if you are a woman trying to get honest great service on your car. They educated me and treated me as if I were family. I was moving across the country and was very worried about my old car making it! They told me all my options, even if it wasn't in their best interest. I knew when I left they did the best job at the best prince!! Highly recommend them to everyone!!!!
