Freddy and his whole crew did an amazing job dealing with the warranty company to replace the transmission in my 2018 GMC sierra. The work was done fast and everyone was so kind and informative. This is the second truck I have taken there and will use this company for any other transmission needs. Thank you all!!!!
My car broke down in the middle of pretty much nowhere and the guys at Sonora Transmission were great. Ed was totally calm and patient with me while I was desperately trying to find a place to tow it. In one day they were able to inspect it and get to me with a quote.
Had clutch job & u joints done , when I got my truck back it was so quiet that I thought I was driving a new car!
I was visiting from Idaho. My trans had been serviced before my trip, so it should have been working great. However, it was slipping out of gear, but Freddie was able to get me right in. It turns out they didn't put enough transmission fluid in it! He checked it over, added a quart, and it drove home perfect! I would recommend them for any transmission repairs. They are awesome!
Last week my transmission broke while we were visiting Yosemite National Park. It was hot and late in the day. I called Sonora Transmission and Freddy answered the phone. He indicated their shop could help me and even gave me advice so I could limp the car to their shop to avoid a tow bill. Freddy ordered the part that night, the next morning, only two hours after they opened, Freddy called me indicating the repair was done. These folks are the most honest and professional people I've ever had work on my car. I also should mention, we live eight states away from Sonora Transmission. I was also happy with the bill as the price was very reasonable. Freddy is awesome! Thank you again Sonora Transmission! You ABSOLUTELY should take your ride here!
Called for a transmission quote. They took my number and vehicle information and said they'd call me back later with a few options. It's been 3 weeks now and they never called back. I had my vehicle repaired elsewhere. You get once chance to make a first impression.
As a dealership mechanic I can assure you they are honest and true to their word. They honor their warranty with no pushback. I purchased a 24 year old Lincoln and the previous owner had the transmission replaced there. I eventually had shift lever issues, they replaced the parts under warranty knowing I was the second owner. If I ever need transmission repairs on any of my cars I will bring them here. Thanks guys!
My wife called today to try and find out what the price estimate would be to replace a clutch in a 1997 toyota corolla. She said she was told it would be about 700.00 to adjust the Clutch! Obvious they like to mess with Women! There is One Nut to Adjust the Clutch!

got a helpful explanation of trouble codes pointing to an intermittently defective pcm on our recently purchased used pt cruiser. replacement of pcm cured the recurrent limp mode problem. thanks, freddy.
These guys are great- no need to look further... make your appt here! And Freddy is an awesome mechanic who really knows his stuff & is dedicated & honest. He put in alot of time on my car, figured out everything needed but then referred me to the Mazda dealer (if I preferred it) due to the need to remove my dashboard...and DIDNT CHARGE ME!!! Fantastic service- you may have to wait a few days to get in but thats because this is THE PLACE to take your car

While preping for a cross country trip, we took our 2002 Dodge Ram2500 in for routine service. We pulled our 5th wheel over 13,000 miles in six months. I felt confident in Mike, Ed and Freddie and all they did prior to our trip. While in Illinois, I encountered a minor issue and was able to call Sonora Transmission for a consultation and was assured all would be fine during the rest our trip. Again, confident in what I was told by Mike at Sonora Transmission. I returned to California and took my truck in for routine maintenance after our long trip through the high desert, northern plains, the Rockies, gulf coast and the Midwest. Got my truck back in way better condition and now we re on our next adventure to Southern California and Las Vegas without a worry what so ever. Driving up the grapevine after having it serviced, I noticed a tremendous change in pulling power and torque that was not there prior to serving at Sonora Transmission. I had to call Mike and thank him for the service provided. Great Job Mike, Ed and Freddie.....thanks for all you did, replacing my radiator, charging and fixing my air conditioning and being there on the phone when a consultation is needed!!!! Wow! My car is a 2007 Rav 4. After they drained and replaced the transmission fluid my car is running cooler at lower RPMs and I got 2 mpg better gas mileage. ThanK you for a graet job.

I have had my vehicle serviced by Sonora Transmission 3 times and each time I walked away knowing my car was in good hands and that I was going to be dealt with honestly. That is a rare quality in a mechanic. They stand by their work and honor all warranties. In the past and after going to different mechanics I typically loathed the car repair experience in all aspects. But now I have found the team that I can trust my vehicles and my hard earn money with. I live up in the mountains and living here is hard on the transmission as they just run hotter up here.
