They are horrible! Don’t go here. Go to O’Reillys down the road. I called to ask for a part and they sent me to Alum Rock to pick it up. The part number they gave me was incorrect and when I came back to this location to return the part, the cashier said that someone else needs to help me and he disappeared. After waiting a few minutes, a different cashier showed up and they started helping the line behind me. When I asked for help, a third cashier came to help and he gave me a hard time for returning the part then could not help me find the correct one. He kept telling me to just go to the dealer. The experience was horrible and I will not be returning.
Awful experience. I went in to buy some LED headlights. An employee helped me look up the light I was looking for and brought it out. I told the employee at the register that I am not sure if they would fit my car and asked if I could put them in to test to see if it fits. He said okay. I asked what the return policy was and he said as long as I don’t damage the part I could return it. I went outside to see if they fit and they did not. I went back in to return them and the same person was getting ready to complete the return for me, then another employee ran up and asked if I installed the part and I said not really I just put it in the socket. He then told me I couldn’t make a return because I installed it in my car. How can you tell a customer one thing and then another. I feel lied to and scammed. Very frustrated and will not be returning to this location again maybe even Autozones. Please inform your employees properly about return policies and make sure they can explain them clearly to the customers. This is messed up.
I would give zero stars if I could cause Troy gave me the worst customer service I've ever had. I'm already having a bad day and I left without buying what I needed because he was so rude. I asked him if he was having a bad day he said no because by then he knew I've had enough. Too bad they lost a good amount of money right now

Also the cashier lied to me that there is no manager and she will be the next day, when i was back in 20 min she was there. they are really rude, very bad experience 😒 don't waste your time and money 1-star review for $14, good job guys, never will buy again.
This store used to be great until they got their battery tester stolen and never seem to be able to replace it to keep the business going. I hope the corporate notice this and replace the battery tester they desperately need to sell their batteries because I (amongst other customers) am not coming back until they have proper equipment.
I never thought that I would argue with your store clerk because of $12. I never opened the accessories I bought. I went to the store to return them. The clerk opened them and took them to the back to ask the manager. When they came back, they told me that there was oil on them and they couldn't return them. Why didn't you tell me when you first opened it? You only told me when you took them to the back where I couldn't see it. I've never seen such a disgusting store. I hope everyone will not be deceived. Don't choose this store.
Angel helped me with my car battery, she was super knowledgeable. Was able to help me tested and figured out the problem. Her customer service skills have to be recognized. She is absolutely amazing! Thanks angel for getting my car running again.
This autozone is great! They have a wide variety of universal wiring doors dads that I have used in my custom projects, such as a 40A fuse block. Also have bought some fuel line at a very reasonable price. Customer service is always great. Parking is a little light but there are always spots. 10/10

I needed spray paint to fix a car scratch and, after some YouTube research, found the right color code. I visited several stores along El Camino in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara to find the paint the same day. At two nearby O Reilly stores, I received great customer service especially the one near Wolfe though neither had the paint in stock. Unfortunately, my experience at this AutoZone was frustrating enough to warrant leaving a review. Upon entering, I approached the counter since I knew the paint needed to be looked up by color code in the internal system. The lady at the counter initially refused to assist and directed me to the aisle to search for it myself. I explained I had a color code she could potentially look up something the O Reilly stores had done but she dismissed it, insisting that O Reilly part numbers wouldn t work there. I clarified it was a universal paint code (Duplicolor PerfectMatch and many other paint brands use this color code), but she became frustrated, refused further assistance, and walked away. Another employee attempted to help but did a brief, incorrect search and showed me unrelated paint products on his screen. This experience suggests one of two issues: either AutoZone s system isn t designed to look up paint by color code (which O Reilly s can do), or the employees lack the necessary training for paint matching despite the store carrying Duplicolor products. Possibly both. Ultimately, I wouldn t recommend this AutoZone (or others) for any product that requires a code lookup. O Reilly or even Amazon might provide a better experience for car parts and paint.
Purchased a battery from this location, asked for help with installing. There was about 4 employees at the counter chatting while I was helped with my check out. She looked around with a blank look on her face and replied sorry, we don t have anyone .
I came to buy a battery for my truck and they had one. The girl who helped me with a very bad face, I asked her if she could install it, they told me no and then she asked a tall employee of African-American descent and he said that he couldnt, everyone was unemployed and no one wanted to. , this person grunted and said they want everything for free, sorry but its their job they have a very bad attitude everything I asked for I asked for thank you and please what a shame they dont have a good attitude for people, I went to Oreilly 5 min away from there on where I bought it cheaper and for the same price he installed the battery, he did not return here, very bad service, bad attitude.

Hours posted show 8pm but doors locked at 5:55pm. Myself and 3 other customers went up to the door and they were locked.
Manager refused to accept return of an item (unused) saying that on the back of the tickets policy says we do not accept return of electrical components I showed to her that the back of the ticket did not had such statement and she ignored me, and CALLED THE POLICE on me when I asked for her name. Checking other reviews, is clear that the Lady at the desk has several behavioral issues

Terrible service have a battery too heavy for me to carry ask for help told me they can t go outside. I m 75 years old. I had to carry the battery in myself. They laughed me. I ll never go there again if you re a senior don t go there.

Went to AutoZone, long line with 1 worker at the front. You can hear multiple other workers in the back laughing and talking. I went to get my battery changed. Another Worker comes out and says they do but won t cause of short staff they have 6 people in the back and managers who are able to. Cashier had attitude stated I was holding up the line.. during a 30 second interaction. LAZY WORKERS AND MANAGERS
Went in to drop off oil for recycling, buy new oil and a few other items. When my partner arrived, one employee directed us nicely to leave the old oil on a cart. Then another employee yelled out NO, WE DONT TAKE THE CONTAINERS. He then instructed the first employee to go empty them and bring them back for us. We grudgingly took our now oily containers back and left, They didnt take the filter either, just left them in the box we brought them to discover when we got home. PS - maybe employee #2 shouldnt call female customers sweetie loudly across the store either. We made our purchases elsewhere.
My partner showed up to autozone becuase her battery was not holding a charge and only worked when it was jumped. Autozone checked the battery and said that it was a good battery even thought it did not hold a charge. They said they could charge the battery but that it would take 3 hours to fully charge. We asked them if jumping the battery would work. They said yes but that they did not have a jump for the battery. So I drove over to help give my partner a jump. Afterwards they retested the battery and it was constantly losing charge. Then they proceeded to say it was a bad alternator since the battery was losing voltage so quickly but that the battery did not have enough charge to test the alternator. Took the car to Honda and they said it was not the alternator and that if it was there would be clear signs that there was an alternator problem (ie battery charging lights and noises). They replaced the battery and the car turned on after being turned off for a while. It was a bad battery not a bad alternator. Glad we got a second opinion. This was a little disappointing becuase I have had my battery and alternator checked by other autozone locations and never had an issue getting the information I needed. This is why I recommended my partner get the battery checked at autozone.
They dont honor the posted hours at this local. D ck head with the sunglasses wouldnt let me in to buy a spray a few minutes before the 9pm posted hours. And who wears sunglasses inside ?
I bought a battery in this store in April 26. I didn t drive it for a weekend in May and I can t start the engine, so I went to a mechanical store to check the cables and electronic system, there is no issue reported. It happened again in June after I was out of town for a week. So I went to the store, the worker here is pretty inpatient. She just tested the battery and said voltage is ok, and asked me to drive it for a while. When I asked why the new battery had such issue, she mentioned something like every car is different and no warranty would be given, the went back to store even with no more explanation. I don t think they have intention to solve the problem.

Some 20 year old kid agrees to change my car s battery and the first thing he does is to put the top clip upside down. I told him twice that it s upside down and he goes Go! You do it . What a piece!

Went to replace battery (due to failed fairly new autozone battery) and said they cant do it due to not having enough staff. I told them I had to get a roadside to get here and they had literally zero consideration and told me to go to another store. Staff had worst attitude and told me its the way retail works! Today, Sunday, April 2, 2023, I asked the person who attended me if he spoke Spanish and with a sinic and vulgar look he told me that I didnt ask him if anyone spoke Spanish and with a mocking look he told me no and suddenly his partner started speaking Spanish and I asked him You said no, they didnt speak Spanish and the answer was no, but with the same look and speaking Sinica and the person who helped me in Spanish was very friendly with those Sinica people, they are going to lose, thank you very much. this gentleman needs training! I had a bad experience today. I was looking for a battery, before that I was in another autozone and they told me that in this store there was one but Troy, Droy whatever the name of this gentleman is said that there wasn t one the most interesting thing is that he only looked for a single model, model this one they didnt have... I asked him if there was only one model, and it was at this point that this gentleman told me directly that he is not ready to serve customers and that he needs recycling or training

Terrible attitude and service. I did two returns here - for one they got the refund amount wrong. The other one was for a paint scratch fix, which when I bought it the staff said return it if the color doesn t match . But when i come back for the return, the stuff in the store refused it in a very bad attitude with no explanation

Well, i guess it is a common practice in this shop. Lady at the desk didn t liked that i asked about the battery showing it on my phone (auto-zone app). Instead of looking at the model name or number, she probably felt her leverage and said - we don t have it. Beautiful lie. Just went and took it from the shelf myself. Funny, how she immediately disappeared, so i would not make a comment about it. I was in a hurry and great need for the battery. Very reliable. Great people, great attitude.

The lady at the register has a very very bad attitude. She was very impatient when I asked her a few questions about the battery model and insulted me. I will never go to that store again.
It def feels like the manager Angel lied to get me to come into the store and would not even apologize when confronted. My car battery was completely dead and I wanted to find a place that would do complimentary battery installation on the spot. I called around and chose this AutoZone location (even though it wasnt the most convenient) because Angel (supposedly looked up my car model and) told me her team can do free battery installation in the afternoon when they are fully staffed provided I buy the battery from them. I arrived at the agreed upon time only to find her out on break and the staffs insisted they could not do the battery installation for my car even though its a common Japanese car. They then said my options were to 1) go somewhere else or 2) buy the battery from them and go to the tire shop next door (and pay extra) to do the installation. With a car that required a starter kit to start each time and waste time pressing into rush hour I felt trapped to do 2). I then found out the tire shop next door doesnt actually do battery replacement and spent the next 30 mins calling around shops near by that do. In the meanwhile Angel came back from her break. I told her I wouldve appreciated her letting me know if her team wouldnt be able to install the battery for me when I called in she shook it off and said we never know if we can actually do it until we see your car - her staff never saw my car - he looked up my car model and told me he cant do it, which is what she supposed shouldve done when I called in. I ended up paying a lot more to get the battery installed, wasted a lot of time coming to this location and feel completely scammed. Very disappointed in this AutoZone.

Mixed experience. Came to buy a jack and some stands. Very helpful service. Visit two. Came to return jack stands up learning they were no longer needed. Receipt, name, all information ready, just wanted to go in and out. They took a while to eventually acknowledge me and even longer to let me put the jackstands on the counter. Couldve been busy, but they didnt look it. Dude that did help me eventually though was cool and quick about it though, so it redeemed the experience a bit.

Staff was extremely rude. The moment I pulled into the parking lot and exited the car, an employee scoffed at me to park somewhere else since my spot was for Autozone customers only. I was quite literally walking into the Autozone shop, so I have no idea what that was about (this employee drives a black mustang). Maybe he didnt expect an electric vehicle owner to walk into an Autozone? Very rude nonetheless. Everyone inside seemed very on-edge and passive aggressive towards the customers for no good reason. Id avoid this location if you dont want to ruin your mood.

Walked in at about 4:30 pm walked up to the cashier waited to be greeted but I was welcomed with a wide eye look of what do you need proceeded to tell him I am looking for a battery and I finally get some words with the prices.. I ask if he can help us out to install it he looks up rolls his eyes and says no cause we are well under staff, i understand being under staff but there was actually NO ONE in the store. I really didn t care about the prices went to auto zone because they have always helped us install the items we need help with. I was so annoyed with this employee and his lack of interest in work, I did not think twice when I walked away.. I myself am I sales person so that was shocking to watch. Costco for the WIN!

Store manager did not want to give me my $20 rewards that I was clearly told the previous visit i had in my account. And I had tried showing her the email clearly stating that I had my $20 reward and she was very rude and declined service simply because i asked her to double check. All she said well its not on here you can go Seems like they hire just anyone at this location. Ive been coming here for 10+ Years and only now am I having issues with this new manager. She also stopped helping me halfway and made me wait because the owner of the tire shop next door came in and asked for parts he cut everyone in line and she stopped what she was doing helping me to assist him. I guess since im not making a big purchase she did not care to finish helping me she began to help him and made me wait. Very unprofessional especially from a store manager.

Excellent service from hardworking attentive employees that try their best to help you find the right parts and products for your vehicle.I recently bought a tire inflator device for $28 and it works great on my SUV tires,its worth it because most gas station charges $2.00 for a few minutes to inflate the tires and most are broken so its a waste of time to use it and you really need your very own tire inflator because tires tend to need air adjustment during hot or cold seasons everyone should have own tire machine.

I think Autozone understands that is you treat everyone like they are not there , like Home Depot then pretty soon your customers that used to come into your store when you worked there. Are now shopping and getting better chat service than you gave in person. guess everyone will be doing shopping online and those that arent should have been thinking about that before they were online too looking for a new job wishing they could shop. if this pertains to you then you already know if it doesnt then dont make it and if you want to see what Im talking about go to Home Depot with the intention of asking for help and then you will know. this does not include attractive women or women with their baby. maybe its just my experience but I have heard other complaints as well . Besides that this Autozone knows its the customer service that keeps the business not the parts which everybody has access to somehow. I may need a therapist but Im on a budget so this venting helps me save money. Happy Holidays .

Went to store for buying a battery. However, the staff s attitude could be much better. We politely clarified some questions but the staff was very impatient. I went to Advance Auto Part later, and asked the same questions in the same way. Advance Auto Part are gracious and helpful, which provided totally opposite feelings for me. I will not go to AutoZone anymore.
Just called to find out what window washer fluid to use in Teslas. (Manual says no bug wash) Jazman was very kind and looked it up for me even though the phone was ringing and it sounded like they were very busy. I got the answer Prestone all season and she apologized they did not carry that brand. It was exceptional customer service. I love their batteries much better than Honda brands. Also note that I called the Campbell store first and was told I don t know we carry rain x orange and another blue one. Glad I took the time to try another store these stores usually have great customer service and help you get your project done like check your battery for you.

Twice I came to this store for a part for my Mercedes. The website said it was in stock and ready for pick up. Walked I to this store to buy and pick up my part. Idler pulley for the first time and Cam sensor for the second time and with no luck it wasnt there and the associate couldnt find it. They tried to refer me to a different branch to pick up. But I decided to go to OReillys next door. They helped me and they had my parts I needed. To Autozone please dont advertise if you guys dont have it. Maybe you guys need to hire a better stock inventory person so we dont waste out time coming and finding out you guys dont have it.
I couldnt get ANYONE to help me with wipers. I was there for at least 15 minutes and asked at least 3 people for help, one said I got you and never helped me, I even waited in line! Another guy said he wasnt good at that section so I ended up leaving. Ill go to another store. I definitely wont be back to this store.

We have always had great experiences at all Autozones nationwide. We have a business account & spend considerable amounts of money on our fleets. Today, unfortunately, at this store we had a very different experience. The manager was extremely rude & after we had to call the district manager to deal with our issue, she made snide remarks & threw a bit of a tantrum because she didn t want to be wrong. We will continue to do business with AutoZone, but I would highly encourage AutoZone to train their management at this store with a higher level of customer service.
Had called ahead about getting with a new battery and battery change and they said they could help. When I entered, a few of the employees were talking in a group and my partner and I had to wait for them to realize I was in line before they let know us that we could go to the counter. Their conversation included one of them referring to somebody as a dirty Mexican and none of them batted an eye. Even then, I asked again if they could change the battery and he rudely said no because he didn t have enough staff. What was the point of me calling ahead then? I wouldn t recommend this place for anyone.

Pretty unhelpful location. Manager seems like a micro managing a**hole. Yet staff here do not receive the necessary training for the services auto zone specifically advertises that they can provide (not entirely their fault) and are also not able to answer pretty basic questions. so don t come here if you actually need help. He says its in stock just bring the old one in. Bring in the old battery, guy is nowhere to be found. So give it to another clerk, he says that battery is out of stock. Hasnt been there in awhile... Had to get the car started and go elsewhere. (No one offered to jump the battery or call another location even after asking.) Awful place, never again.

Poor customer service. I been going autozone for more than 15years +. I was told to throw my used oil bymyself allowing me go in back only employees go not giving direction where to dump it at letting me wonder until found it and had open big container and dump oil and caused a big mess on myself. And i noticed there was so many other boxes of used oil filled up by container. Employee was just lazy and didnt want to assist me by giving me direction where oil dump located Allowing random customer in back where all parts are at. I always been told to leave my used oil by register and employee will always handle it
Pretty rude, the lady that works in the service department, (not to sure if thats correct, just assuming couldnt really see) but she got a phone call and the employee answer the phone, put the customer on hold n told her that she had a phone call n she said ok tell them to hold on. For what? All your doing is gossiping to your co-worker. Very very unprofessional

She starts to pull something up on her computer, but she hears a conversation between hey co-workers that I guess she wanted to be a part of. She yelled over to them and started laughing and going on about something for a minute leaving me to just stand there waiting. When she returns she asks me for the exact model of the battery I need. The reason I went there is that the website advertises that theyd help examine the vehicle AND do the battery replacement. This is my first time changing the battery in my car, and it is located under the drivers seat (Audi q7) so I have no idea what battery is under there. She says store policy prevents them from helping if the battery is located in the main cabin of the car. I cant fault her for company policy. I leave and pep boys is able to help me out. In the end I didnt do business with them, but leaving me standing there while having a personal conversation was quite rude and especially more egregious for someone on the clock. Hence the 1 star.
I don t get this. An innocent staff had to tell me lies because of this guy who seems like a manager working in the back. Just a heads up, they don t take return for their own products purchased from other AutoZone stores. Which is weird already. That man was not even trying to help me out with my problem, it was almost like he is trying to send me home asap. I called two other AutoZones to see if I can return my stuff at any AutoZone they answered right away, YES . And I actually did return my stuff at different AutoZone after. Keep telling lies, so you guys lose customers. It seems like you guys have no improvement even though there are tons of review like this. Never coming back to this store.
Thank you Troy for helping me out finding me an oil cap from another Autozone because I accidentally dropped it under the hood. It was very embarrassing but Troy did not judge me and made me feel better about this whole situation.
I really appreciated the help from the young guy on choosing the tools required. He made my auto part shopping experience at AutoZone continue to be above expectations.
I went to the store to buy a battery for my car key fob. The person at the desk right away said he would need open the key fob to find the battery which was a reasonable ask for which I did not have any concerns. However he said he doesn t have the equipment(a screw driver ) to open the fob and was expecting me to have it. Given autozone being a hardware store for cars, I was expecting them to have the needed equipment to open or at least have an idea given the car is one of the most used Honda cars. Visiting the store to be told that a customer need to carry all the equipment to buy anything is highly disappointing. One of the worst experience I had. Not taking my business to Autozone anymore.

3rd class pathetic customer service award in santa clare goes to...... Mistake no 1. These guys do not have a line rule... Sometimes common line for all the service counters.... I wait for 30 mins to be serviced and then a guy comes...and now...there are separate customer lines for each helpdesk. Mistake no 2. The little guy at customer desk does not know S of service... I told him i cannot find this particular paint in ur shop...i showed him all the info from website...he did not bother to look in the system or at the shop, whether it is present or not....says if u cant find it its not here. Plain laziness...either they dont know how to hire OR working environment might be very hard for poor little chap. Mistake no 3: The website says they have a particular paint, i drive 30 mins to there, they do not have it. Mistake no 4: Other service guy can clearly see some people are waiting in line for ages....instead of helping....stupid chap is roaming around.
They helped me a lot with battery charge. And as the battery is dead, they fixed a new one with purchase. They also provided me with the tools to remove my battery for charging it. Helpful people.
I needed a headlight n they put it in for me. Very nice of them.
Been looking for a medal polish. Checked on line and they had it. Staff did not know what i was looking for. Was on the shelf. When finding this place be ready for a quick right turn in. Pulling out plan on pulling out to the right. Clean inside. Out side needs help.
Worst customer service. You don t mind waiting if they are busy helping other customers, but keeping customer waiting while the person behind the counter is counting hundreds of pennies is ridiculous!

I used to love this place when Tammy was manager but since then they must have gotten rid of all the people who used to work with her too all new faces... now .. nobody seems knowledgeable and nobody is willing to help. I am a mom of 2 young boys 2 year old and 4 year old and I had asked if they could check my battery apparently I came too late ok thats fine I get it only my boys were in the car and had turned on all of the lights so when I went to turn on my car to go battery was dead. I asked them as they were leaving if someone could help me out n all 3 said no while I had a dead battery and was stranded with 2 young kids
