Cordevalle is a really lovely property with a delightful staff that's marred by just some really bizarre process issues and struggles to rectify issues as things prop up. First issue was that I had called a week before our stay and made a reservation Il Vigneto. I remember the conversation vividly, with the person on the phone briefly trying to say it was closed on account Il Vigneto being "only open on the weekends" before they realized the date I was requesting it was for a Saturday. Suffice to say, I was pretty shocked when we got to our reservation that evening and was told that the reservation had been made at the One Iron Bar instead and that the restaurant was "fully booked" for the evening. They did eventually manage to "squeeze" us in but started us off on a rocky start. The following morning we were trying to take it easy so I tried to place an order for in-room dining for breakfast. However, when I called the number I got a voicemail and left a message, to which I never got a response. I called again 45 minutes as well as an hour later and still got voicemail. I was finally able to get an order placed after calling the front desk and asking if they were doing in room dining that morning. Again, the property was lovely and the staff we interacted with were really pleasant and kind, but by the morning we were definitely talking about how we wished we had picked another venue. I think the missing thing here is I've been to venues where I've had worse experiences but the difference there was they had mechanisms to turn a "bad" experience into a "great" one that became some of my favorite stays. However, Cordevalle seems only to have the tools to go from "bad" to "fine" which left the whole stay pretty underwhelming.
Beautiful resort with impeccable service from all staff. We spent a week in low season and enjoyed the property and the surrounding region. Benjy, the tennis manager and the other tennis attendant, were especially attentive since we played tennis on the immaculate tennis courts every day. The golf course was beautiful, but we don't play golf so cannot comment in more detail. The villa with hot tub was great, comfortable, private, large and well thought out with beautiful expansive views of the golf course and the hills beyond. Housekeeping was flawless. There is a very nice 2.25 + mile trail in the hills adjacent to the golf course, which also has beautiful views of the property and allows for a quick workout. The large outdoor pool is heated. There is a fitness center and spa as well. We took advantage of being in the region to explore various coastal redwood hikes. They offer dining on property for all 3 meals, where again we had great service. We had no issues at all during our stay, and any time we mentioned a comment or a suggestion, the manager made sure to follow up with us and make improvements immediately.
The property is superb.It’s great weekend getaway I must say.The remarkable service starts right from the Gate you enter and the wonderful service continues till the time you check out.overall experience staying in this property was top notch.few things can be improved like Smart tv will be a great add on as I was here for two days and wanted to Netflix and chill but could not connect my fire-stick to the TV as it wasn’t a smart TV.secondly ,a complimentary breakfast should be added too.except these two things rest everything was top notch.last not the least would like to mention about Joey he is superb gentleman.great customer service I must say keep it up.
I want to take a moment to specifically thank Mr. Rian O. for his outstanding service and attentiveness during our New Year’s stay. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and well taken care of, even resolving a minor confusion at check-in with ease and professionalism. Throughout our visit, we were treated like old friends and encouraged to fully enjoy everything the property has to offer. Joey, the young valet, was another standout—his exceptional service truly added to the positive experience. The One Iron Bar was cozy with delicious food, and Il Vigneto exceeded our expectations as well. We were genuinely sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Rian, for making our stay so memorable!
After completing three stays throughout Fall and Winter, I can confidently say CordeValle is the hidden gem of the South Bay.||Nestled in a beautiful valley in San Martin, warmth greets you at the front gate by one of the associates. While driving up to the lodge, the grounds/golf course views are absolutely stunning(A blue pond? So cool!) Once at the lobby, the bellman quickly grabs all your bags, and check-in is a breeze. Sparkling wine and rosemary-infused hand towels while getting your room keys? YES!||Quick overview of the property below:||Rooms||-The three stays we've had are in the bungalow. Wow. These rooms are gorgeous and luxurious. Huge tubs, stunning golf course views, a wonderful fireplace, and a giant walk-in closet. Also, the robes they provide in the room are top-notch.||Spa/Pool/Gym||We enjoyed having two amazing massages at The Spa At CordeValle. The locker room/spa area for men is HUGE. Well appointed, clean, and lots of places to relax. Both massages were terrific and very fairly priced. The pool, even in the Fall/Winter, is still an oasis of serenity. The staff will gladly assist in bringing food from one of the restaurants directly to your lounger. Suffice it to say, we had a lot of fun by the pool!||The gym is smaller but clean, well-appointed, and was never busy. Huge bonus for having a Peloton bike and row machine.||Staff||This one is important: Every single person at CordeValle is amazing. From the Bellman to the Restaurant staff, I have never met so many warm and genuine people. And on our last stay, they even remembered us. There are so many to list, but off the top of my head, Jenn(both restaurants!), Michelle(Front Desk), Denise(Lions Head Grill), and Benjy (Pickleball trainer). Honestly, though, everyone rocks!||Food||WOW! We never had a bad meal in the three stays(two of them 4 days each). On the contrary, this has to be some of the BEST food in the South Bay(Or even in the Bay Area!) The chef runs his kitchens with such skill and consistent perfection. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Nico during our last stay, and we thanked him for all the delicious food we had at all three restaurants.||Even when writing this, I know I'm anticipating our trip back in the spring. If you want luxury, serenity, fantastic staff, and food, book this place ASAP.
Comfortable beds and everything you might possibly need available in the rooms. A separate dressing room and another space with a wet bar and Nespresso machine. Golf, tennis, pickleball, chess. Staff go over and above to help. All in all, I found nothing to complain about. We will definitely return.
I did the balloon decor for a 90th birthday celebration. Cordevalle is a beautiful place, and the customer service is amazing. I didn't get to see the rooms since I didn't stay the night.

Hands down one of the best golf resorts in the country. the property is stunning, the service superb. We came for a golf trip, originally planned with 4 guys, our wives decided to join when they saw where we were going, they loved their stay, we loved our stay. All in our group where blown away. One of the nicest golf courses Ive ever played, Forcaddie was a blast. cannot possibly recommended enough. Rooms: The bungalows were to die for! gorgeous rooms. If traveling with a group and they can put your rooms next to each other makes for a great stay as it was so easy to visit each others patios to spend time before or after an evening dinner. The room quality was top notch. Very spacious and modernly appointed guest rooms. very comfortable in all ways. Nearby activities: Spa & Golf are not to be missed! both best in class. Walkability: You can walk to anything on property or grab a golf cart with one of the staff. Food and drinks: Their dining was top notch, was happy with all of our meals Noteworthy details: The property has it all and is worth exploring, from biking to health and wellness, golf, fitness, spa, dining. Our group didnt want to leave!

Amazing resort. The golf course is awesome and manicured to perfection. The staff is over the top good, and makes Cordevalle that special getaway. . Food and drinks: We have stayed here several times. The food has always been prepared to perfection. The drinks are awesome. They always add new drinks to the menu. I will not have a margarita anywhere else. The service is always spot on. They truly make you feel as if you are the only one in the restaurant.
If you have not had a chance to visit CordeValle its one of my favorite places in Nor Cal. Its a private hideaway with fantastic facilities and service. We stayed in a bungalow that sits on a ridge with fantastic views of the valley and golf course. This trip we played golf and the course was in impeccable condition. Our caddie Eddie was a huge help and so happy to have him share his expertise on how to navigate the course, it made such a difference. We dined in the casual restaurant and golf grill, both were outstanding! I highly recommend CordeValle its perfect, for a romantic getaway or family trip. We cant wait to go back. Five Stars all the way.....

Our forecaddie was wonderful. A Robert Trent Jones Jr design is one of my favorite in the area for its visual and design beauty. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.
Would be 5 star but a year ago I went and could not get past the guy at the gate. He was tripping on me bc I was in my truck with my dirtbike in the back even though there is a Mx track 10 min away.

An amazing property with excellent service
Cordevalle is one of our favorite weekend getaways. Close to home yet we feel like we are a million miles away. The resort setting and surrounding is so peaceful and scenic. The service is excellent, they really go out of their way to make you feel special. We were able to go down to the tennis center, and the Director Benjy Robbins showed us the new pickle ball center under construction. Having not been there for nearly a year, we were surprised at the newly renovated rooms. I thought the old rooms were nice, but what an improvement with the new furniture, flooring and updated spa like bathroom. We had drinks by the fire pits, dinner at the grill and a great nights sleep. We are never disappointed with our visit, and hope to be back soon.

I got married at Cordevalle over the weekend and it was absolutely spectacular. Cordevalle is a very special place that starts with the people. Marcel and his team are the best in the business and treated us like family. Marline was our wedding coordinator and is an absolute rockstar and pleasure to work with. Andrew Vosburg and the golf team are true professionals and took care of us. Cordevalle is stunningly beautiful and the golf course is perfectly manicured thanks to Brett and his team. All of guests were gushing about how incredible the entire package of Cordevalle delivers. Rooms: The newly renovated fairway homes are unbelievable.
We had the best staycation ever! Although we dont golf, we spent time just enjoying the room - breathtaking views of the valley and the golf course, deer in the yard, the outdoor hot tub, the soaking tub in the room. The newly refurbished rooms are incredible, with a look that is both clean and bright. I also enjoyed a visit to the spa, and had a great deep tissue massage from Racquel, and a Hydrafacial from Stephanie. We also enjoyed a hike on property before visiting the spa and and really got a workout, which made the spa all the more relaxing! We ended our night with dinner at Il Vigneto, which offered more beautiful views of the property and some of the best tenderloin Ive had! Only wish we had more time to visit the beautiful new pool and visit the other on-site restaurants. Highly recommend staying in a Villa suite if you can!
Was here for a bridal shower. The place was beautiful and the staff was fantastic. Fatima (front desk), Kira (bartender), and Jason (the best server in San Martin) made everything extra special. Will definitely recommend and will be returning for a visit to the rooms.
My wife and I spent a beautiful weekend at Cordevalle and it didn t disappoint. The grounds were immaculate and really made you feel relaxed as you entered the property and approached the main reception area that was very inviting. Rian couldn t have been nicer and met us at the front with champagne. Overall service was prompt and professional to get us checked in and our things up to our bungalow. The bungalows were really well done and seemed like there was no detail left out. Our upper bungalow opened up to a view of the valley and golf course and felt very private. We enjoyed all of the grounds including the golf practice area, pool, gym, locker rooms, and the tennis center. Benjy was great at the tennis center and set us up with rackets, balls, and even the ball machine for practice. We also tried pickle ball which was very easy to do and all with the back drop of the mountains. We really can t say enough about our stay and look forward to coming back.
The middle of nowhere you will find that five star resort. Was only there for a couple days but can t wait to go back.

This is a stunning property impeccably managed and first class in every respect. The golf course is sublime, surrounded by nature, with so many gorgeous views uncluttered by any condo developments or cookie cutter villas as seen nearly everywhere else. Food is delicious, service is great, what else can we say?

What a great escape for people who live in the Bay Area to relax. The property is beautiful and serene. A very kid and dog friendly place.The bungalows are super cozy and feel private. I love the patio that overlooks the golf course and the bathrooms are a dream. Every single person on staff is helpful and highly attentive. Great space for hiking and outdoor activities. The food is amazing.
There are very few resorts that go the extra mile to make a stay special, and I have to say Cordevalle is the cream of the crop. I think it really tops the list of my visits to any luxury resort (4S, Ritz, Fairmont, Rosewood). The staff is extremely welcoming from the second you approach the front gate. Mind you they make their own spirits, wine, honey, and have a top notch restaurant to boot. I do not golf, but the course looked immaculate, and the spa/pool experience was great. The rooms were spacious and had a gorgeous view of the course and mountains. My toddler daughter did NOT want to leave as we packed up. I cannot wait to go back and have already told all my friends about the resort. Rooms: Beautiful bungalows with a fireplace, private patio and large amazing soaking tub.
We stayed at Cordevalle for the first time and are thoroughly impressed! We visited the weekend before Thanksgiving, so there were fewer people staying than normal - it felt like we had the resort to ourselves! The bungalows are very spacious and comfortable with sweeping views of the resort from each private patio. Our dinner and the service at One Iron Bar was fantastic. The resorts location makes you feel like youre in a secluded rural getaway despite being a short drive from the city.
5 star country club with one of the finest courses in the bay area.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing this beautiful golf course, and I cant praise it enough. The breathtaking views enhanced our round, and the impeccable hospitality, led by Matt Conte, made our visit memorable. Felix, our caddy, was not only skilled but also made the day fun while sharing valuable insights. Kavins down-to-earth assistance during check-in added to the positive experience. Overall, this place never disappoints.
You need to be a member to play here, and members have to pay an annual membership fee of US$20,000. The venue is absolutely beautiful! It s worth playing golf

This is a very luxurious exclusive club and hotel with facilities and services of the highest level. Various levels of membership of the club are apparently available, definitely only for the very affluent. The golf course with the many lakes provides a beautiful setting for the residential and golf estate set in a beautiful valley near Morgan Hill in California. We had dinner at the One Iron Bar as guests of a member. The manager of the estate is a South African, who spent quite some time chatting about South Africa and the changes happening there. He was quite surprised that we enjoyed wines from Nappa Valley more than many South African Wines, but we dont spend in excess of R1000 on wines in South Africa every day. That said, the service was excellent and very professional. The atmosphere was warm and homely, and the food was excellent. The menu is not large, but there is a good variety for all tastes from steak to pasta. I highly recommend the prosciutto and baguette and ceviche starters. The deserts we had were as good as they could be. Prices are high as can be expected of a restaurant in an exclusive resort such as Cordevalle. If you come with a very weak currency as we did from South Africa, the cost is exorbitant, but an experience not to be missed if the opportunity ever arises. The evening was one of the highlights of our visit.

Without fail for the past 20 years that we have been visiting Cordevalle, the expectation is always met and the service second to none. From ordering a simple coffee service, to experiencing a gourmet meal, it is always a treat. Being able to stay close to home and feel miles away is like a little vacation every time.

Loved everything about the hotel and golf experience including the food. Very good service including the golf course. Nice also that we could shower in clubhouse before heading to airport after the round. The course was top notch, only complaint was paying $250 for twilight golf during the week. Paid it because we really wanted to sneak in another 9 holes at 5pm but seemed a little unreasonable. Would absolutely go back and play again though.

We were only there for a work project, so I cant comment on the rooms, golfing, spa, etc. The staff was very helpful, especially since we were starting very early in the morning. Its a beautiful place, tho its isolated, not really close to much of anything else. I had lunch there, and it may have been the best Reuben sandwich Ive ever had. The braised red cabbage with pickled mustard seeds, rather then the usual sauerkraut, was an inspired replacement.
We recently stayed at Cordevalle for a three night stay and were blown away by the staff professionalism, accommodations, views and facilities! Cordevalle is private, discreet and conveniently located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains. The website images and photos dont do justice to the suites, bungalows or villa homes. The bungalow photos on the website looked great, but to our surprise they were even better in person with goose-down comforters, original artwork, a stone fireplace and a Nespresso machine. There was an open-air patio with a superb views of the golf course and a spacious bathroom with a roll-in shower. To our delight, was an outdoor shower and a private jacuzzi! They had thought of absolutely everything! My husband is handicapped so we worked with Talia to make sure everything would be accessible for him. Talia was extremely detailed and thorough in making sure everything was just right for him! Christian, our golf cart driver, was very timely and pleasant. We highly recommend a stay at Cordevalle! What a special treat and memory for our family.

Everything!! As we registered, I was served a glass of Prosecco by the manager. All staff were extremely helpful, happy and VERY willing to make the guest experience perfect!!! We stayed in Villa number 46, (end unit). It has amazing views, quiet, private, comfy bed .and our own private spa . The golf course was in immaculate shape and our caddie, Felix was so professional. He s logged over 4000 rounds at this amazing course. We d love to come back and have a little nicer restaurant to dine. The bar was nice, but very casual. For the price point, we d like a little more upscale for the dining experience.
Without question one of the premier golf courses and facilities in the country! Service levels and friendliness are beyond excellent. Course conditions were the best I ve played anywhere in a long time.

My wife and I came for a weekend getaway for my birthday. The grounds and hotel room are beautiful, but the service here does not merit 5 stars. It started the moment we were greeted. I felt judged based on the car we drive, our age, our assumed income and skin color. Zero effort to go above and beyond given the price of the stay. I used my business Amex to book through fine resorts and hotels and did not receive an upgrade, although there appeared to be availability online. At $1300 a night I just expected a better overall experience, especially since many other hotels are meeting the mark with the small details. I was interested in exploring the membership here based off my friend who is a current member here s recommendation, but I like to get the feeling of how they treat your average Joe before mentioning I m interested to feel things out and based on this experience, I will likely never be back. The only pleasant experience we ve had here so far is the greeting at the front gate. Subpar especially for the price
In need of efficient maintenance staff. This was a family reunion that we have had for 15 years at Cordevalle. Food service and banquet service were excellent as usual. It is in need of updating. We stayed the Jones Fairway House and the heater and dishwasher did not work in the gathering room. Room rates were quite high and was a disappointment that everything was not in working order prior to our arrival. The grounds are beautiful and the facilities are great. Unfortunately we had to call maintenance a number of times but thank goodness it was not a cold weekend.
Great course with caddie when playing for the Juniors Golf Fund tournament. YOU must order from the grill to enjoy one of the sandwiches...well worth the cost.

Such a gem hidden away in the picturesque foothills of San Martin. We love the bungalow rooms overlooking the majestic golf and adjacent mountains. The restaurant is worldclass with a great menu and wine list. A big shoutout to then entire team that make us feel so special each visit.

Unfortunately, our stay at the CordeValle was a huge disappointment. At first things were fine the grounds were beautiful, and the staff were very courteous. When we got to our room, I went into the bathroom and noticed that the tub had some dead gnats stuck to the bottom. The sink also had a lot of dead gnats. I tried to brush this aside, but while I was on the bed, a large beetle scurried out from under the sheets/pillows! I have never in my life experienced something like this at a hotel, not to mention a $1200 room, 5 star hotel. We called and they drove us to another bungalow. Upon further inspection of the second room, I still found a lot of dead gnats at the bottom of the tub, and we even found a dead spider by the bed. This confirmed to us that our first room wasnt just a fluke both rooms they drove us to were poorly cleaned. When I showed the tub with gnats to the staff member, he tried justifying it by saying they had just re-opened a month ago, but he acknowledged that it wasnt a sufficient excuse. He also surprisingly said that this sort of thing happens every now and then. We were granted a full refund for our entire stay and we left that night (we couldnt stand the thought of sleeping with bugs and paying $1200 a night for that). It really ruined our entire weekend. We do not recommend the CordeValle at all better to plan your weekend at a place that is reliably clean.

CordeValle Golf Course is on the list of Top 100 Courses you can play from 2012. I am working my way through this list. By playing this course I now have 42 of the 100 played. This golf course is ranked #64 on that list. It should be ranked higher! This was one of the greatest courses I have played and the experience is almost second to none. It is a short drive outside of San Jose. When you drive through the gates of the property, you start to feel like you are in your own private resort. There were a few others on property, but not very many. There are only 2 homes that overlook the course. There were wild turkeys walking along the fairways and black tail deer munching grass on the hillside. The golf course is in perfect shape. Eddie is the best caddie I have ever had. The course layout and design is tough, but fair and beautiful. I will come back to this course many more times!

The facilities and grounds are beautifully kept. Every one of the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. My room was beautifully appointed. Bed was comfy, fireplace was perfect. I ordered dinner to be delivered to my room and it was delicious. So was the breakfast I had on the patio overlooking the greens. This is just a gem of resort. Heaven for golfers (though Im not one). Lovely pool & fitness room. Stunning original art on the walls throughout. I even found two by an artist I know in France. Rian Obispo, the Front Office Manager, took time to tour me around a bit. I cant wait to go back! (Oh! And the herd of goats is adorable!!!)

Beautiful place, spent a night to celebrate my friends birthday. The only downside to this place was our restaurant staff she kept asking us if we had reservations even after we said twice we did, just felt the unwelcome first impression. Other than that it was a amazing experience!
It was relaxing, great food and limited guests so we were comfortable being at the pool with our 4 yr old who cant be vaccinated yet. The perfect family getaway. Wish we could do it more often.

We did not stay overnight, but attended the Trunk Show, and stayed for dinner at the One Iron Bar. The people make this place so exceptional. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the service is phenomenal. As always, thanks for a great experience!!

CordeValle is located close enough to be convenient, but far enough away to feel like youre away on a vacation. We enjoy the beautiful & spacious rooms, spa treatments, hiking, golfing, gym, wine tasting and the amazing food. Additionally, the staff is very welcoming and helpful.

The service level at CordeValle is top-notch. They really go above and beyond to make your time with them special. Golf carts are brought to as soon as you park and they even ask if you need help load you golf bag. The golf carts is equipped with a monitor, club and ball cleaning attachments, two bottles of water in a small ice box, one towel, divot mix bottle and four tees. The clubhouse restaurant was outstanding also. The food (cheese burger and garlic fries) was very good and again the service was memorable. The server was personable and some how remembered five peoples orders without without writing it down. The golf course was very well maintained, the bunkers stood out with new white sand. The beautiful view of the land scape and the addition of a winery was also enjoyable and relaxing. All in all a wonderful experience, would recommend to any golf lover if they ever got the opportunity to go.

Came here from Valentines Day/ 2 Year Anniversary with GF. Great accommodations punctuated with an amazing pork chop at the grill for dinner one of the two nights. It was very wet, but the course held it well. Had the first tee time and walked 18 with Don. Great guy and caddy. Class all around.

Property and golf course looked spectacular! Were a Carolinas-based luxury, high-end golf travel company and had the pleasure of stopping by this amazing property briefly as we are out on the West Coast hosting a group at Pebble Beach this week. Were DEFINITELY looking forward to sending groups out here in the future!
Top notch resort. Breathtakingly beautiful. My wife and I took a few days off from our hectic work schedule and we were not disappointed. We loved the resort itself along with the food but what made our stay was the tennis pro Benjy Robins who not only elevated our game but was so helpful in making our overall stay the best it could be. His knowledge of the game and warm personality was refreshing. He even took the time to follow up the next day to see how we were doing and gave us some local restaurants to try. Highly recommend the resort and if you re a tennis fanatic like us make sure you ask for Benjy.
Cordevalle is our home away from home! The resort is absolutely breathtaking. My family comes twice a week to play tennis, use the spa and have a delicious meal. I agree 100% with the last reviewer about the tennis pro Benjy Robins. We re so lucky to have one of the best tennis pros in the country right here at Cordevalle! Benjy know everyone in my family by name and makes us feel like a million bucks every time we re at the resort! Go to the One Iron Grill for the most delicious burgers you ve ever tasted, and make reservations at their restaurant Il Vigneto for what is possibly one of the best restaurants in The Bay Area!
I must say this is a little piece of heaven! Cordevalle is a great staycation. The resort is absolutely breathtaking. Service were top notch. Its out of the way with beautiful views right off of the Bungalows. The restaurant was amazing and the service from everyone was great. Lots of great conversations and knowledge about the resort and the local area. Gym and lockers were great and everything was perfectly clean. This will be in the rotation for staycations. Thank you for the amazing time!
