I had really good experience with Freon Service. My project is to replace my old gas furnace with a heat pump. As usual, I started with sending multiple requests through Yelp. Kevin at Freon is the first to respond. My estimator Matt came to the house next day early morning, and offered multiple recommendations (among the heat pump solution) based on our situation. It s hard to say why (the way we had the conversation, his personality, etc.) but I started to have trust in Matt. What s more important is that after Matt left, we kept the conversations through text messages. Matt is very patient with my questions, and very responsive with details. If I have to name something that could be done better, it is that our gas furnace is located in a closet, and Matt forgot to measure the dimensions of that closet space in his first visit. I found the Mitsubishi P series unit does not fit and let Matt know. Matt came again for a second visit. We finally decided on the M series unit which fit our house and have more or less reasonable capacity given our square footage. When it s time to start the project, Jake and the team (I m so sorry I forgot the other guy s name) came to our house. They are really professional, and the work was done with a lot of details. You really don t want to miss this team. Just name one very small thing: they asked for our permission to use to living room toilet and we said okay. We observed they always took off the shoes before entering the bathroom. I really enjoyed working with Freon and its team. I highly recommend it to everyone who saw my review.

The crew was hard-working, courteous and cleaned up after the job. Definitely recommend. The city inspector accidentally disabled the system - Freon came out the next day and I was up and running in about 15 minutes.

Their technician did an outstanding job. He worked well into the night and returned again because soof something that was not his fault. He pressure tested to 500 psi. vaccum tested, documented everything with detailed images. He was thorough and seemed like he cared about the longevity of his installation. Very impressed.

Our A/C unexpectedly broke in the middle of a major heat wave. Time was of the essence and we were desperate for cold air in the house. After a quick Yelp search Freon was the first company who had an actual human answering the phone and taking our information. The next day a helpful tech came out and talked us through the issues (blow fuses and melted connector) and we had cold air running through the house within 30mins of their arrival. Our compressor unit is 20 years old so it is inevitable that we will need to replace it in the near future and we will definitely seek out Freon to take care of it for us. Thx guys so much!

I had called Freon Service about a leak and Vlad came over and spent several days investigating and determining that my condenser was the source of all problems. Because I knew it was leaking the year before, I decided to replace my HVAC. Dennis came to give me an estimate and explain to me my options. I decided to replace my broken York AC unit with an efficient heat pump, add dual zoning, and to replace my gas furnace with a variable air handler. The quote was very fairly priced. And boy am I glad I went with them! They were able to schedule me in very quickly. During four days of the 100F heat wave, Jake and Slava spent a good twelve hours each day demolishing and removing the gas furnace and old ac unit, going up into the sweltering attic to set up the new system, testing all the ducts and AC repeatedly by going up and down multiple times to make sure things were working correctly. Jake and Slava did so with care, making sure to cover the floor with carpeting and vacuuming at the end of the day to make sure debris wasn t on the floor. They were all so considerate and worked so hard. I m really glad I went with them! I would highly recommend Freon Service!!

My AC went out 4th of July. I reached out to several vendors that evening. And imagine my surprise when I got a return message - in the evening on a holiday within little over an hour! They scheduled service for a week out. It was going to be a long week! On the day of the scheduled service call, I got a text indicated that the tech was on their way and their name. I appreciate both the follow up and the obvious safety precuation here. And then upon arrival to the moment he left, their technician asked the right questions, both informed and showed me what the issues were (I am now a proud owner of a capacitor that I will use as a paperwright I suppose). He also answered my questions in a clear way that helped my understand my choices. Whenever I need future repairs to my HVAC system they will be my first call. And I wont hesistate to recommend them to anyone else.

We had Freon replace a whole-house HVAC system. The previous one was a package unit on the roof, so it was a big job. They removed all the old duct work through the whole house and replaced it, removed gas and electric lines installed new equipment and scheduled the inspections. Worse yet was the week we scheduled it, it was a heat wave! Those guys still came and did the job - we made some changes to help: making sure they had cold water & we also adjusted the time with them so they could start earlier - but the head didnt stop them. It was a tricky job too because of the design of the house, but they got it done. Its been a pleasure working with them!

During the most recent heat wave our ac stopped blowing cold air and eventually the condenser stopped working altogether. My brother had Freon install a heat pump in his house a few weeks prior and had nothing but good things to say about them so I called their office. They were so busy that the earliest they could come was 6 days later but I took the Sunday appointment (and I was grateful they were working Sundays!). They sent me continuous communications, both via text and email, right up to when they were on their way to our appointment. Vlad showed up within the 1 hour estimated appointment time and got to work immediately. He showed us that our capacitor was fried and our freon levels were very low which meant we had a leak somewhere in our system. Per our request, he looked at our furnace set up, fixed a few minor things that were overlooked when we installed the system 7 years prior, and made some recommendations to reduce noise. He suggested that we wait until the Fall to fix the leak because between their backed up schedules and surge pricing for parts (summer high season), we might save some money by waiting. It was a great experience overall.

If google had an option for 10 stars I would have given Vlad(technician) as he deserved it. They just earned a customer for life. Great service highly recommend them to anyone who needs their HVAC diagnosed. Dont shop around you cannot find anything better or cheaper than this guys.

My AC compressor stopped working and the technician came and diagnosed the problem. He was very straight forward and explained what a regular person would do to fix the problem temporarily and what he would do as licensed technician. There was a hiccup with getting the replacement for my compressor and they adjusted the price for the inconvenience. Overall the service was great and would highly recommend! 5/5.

Terrible experience. Gave me a proposal for work on June 11, 24. I accepted on June 18. Then--nothing. Nada. Zip. Its now July 20. I asked Dennis multiple times for next steps and timetable. He never followed up. Left other messages with main number. Nothing. Its hard to imagine these folks as reliable. And when I told them that Id given up and found someone else, they fake apologized for any misunderstandings.

Vlad is very knowledgeable. I have contacted 2 other HVAC companies to repair the a/c and they couldnt figure out the problem. One told me I had to get a new a/c and change all the ducting, but failed to give me a quote for it. Vlad found the problem within minutes and fixed it in an hour. Will refer more people to him.

What happens during the first really bad heatwave of the summer? Your AC goes out. Multiple places said they could make a visit for 3-5 days. I remembered seeing a car driving around the kids school with FREON advertising on it so I gave them a call. Vlad picked up after a couple rings (a little after 5pm) and said he could be there around 8pm. He showed up right on time. Within a few minutes he knew the issue and had it fixed. I know my unit isn t going to last that much longer and I ll for sure be giving Freon a call for the replacement. Thanks so much!

I called and explained I wasnt sure if the wire needed to be replaced or not. They said theyd send someone out and quoted two different prices for a repair vs a full replacement of the HVAC wire. Upon arriving, Vlad took his time and determined he wouldnt need to replace all the wiring, so it would be a significantly cheaper job. They not just replaced the malfunctioning inducer motor, but also cleaned the rust from water leakage and painted the board with protective enamel. In addition, they noticed that one of the condensate drains is missing a switch, and installed one for us for free. They had a replacement motor in the van and the furnace was soon up and running. Very pleasant workers who wore shoe protectors and cleaned up carefully afterwards. The price was quite reasonable
