These guys were great to me when my car broke down in the desert. All-in-all, the full misadventure took me about a week (Dennis George Auto was not part of the full story) but when they finally came into the picture it was very relieving to me. I explained to them my lingering issues (odd secondary effects of my primary failure) and they understood what I meant and what I was talking about. Very competent guys. Since my issue included a partially burnt wiring harness, they let me bring a small section from a junk yard to splice in, which probably saved us both a lot of headache and me bunch of money. Mechanics are rightfully very militant about providing their own parts, but I'm very glad that Dennis George was flexible with me in this specific case. Once Dennis George had an opening in their schedule, they fixed the issue within two hours. The repair looks great. I've driven a thousand miles on it already and everything is good. It's very hard for me to find mechanics I trust. Now my only problem is I that I wish they were based down here in San Diego.
No better place than Dennis George for auto repair and smog. These guys go above and beyond to get your repairs done in a timely manner and the work is top-notch. Fees are competitive and the guys are awesome to work with. I also love that they keep you in the loop with regular status updates.
A smog was performed on my old vintage 2004 chevy truck and it passed. The staff was friendly and informative of the next steps I had to take to get the old girl registered in this state. Thank you for your service.
Had a 4-wheels alignment done as currently the mileage on set of 4 tires was 37% below tire mfr’s mileage. Motion Tires recommended Dennis George Auto as best place to get 4-wheel alignment done. WS good recommendation! Al & Andy at Dennis George’s front desk did good job! Wife’s GMC Terrain was done in 2 hours. And, at car pickup, Al provided breakdown sheet of before, after & specs data on alignment. Al also passed on that front struts had slight leak. We’ll get Dennis George to replace those after all tires replaced by Motion Tire. We’ll be back!!
Just finished my first ever visit at this auto repair establishment. I called ahead to ask if I needed an appointment and after being asked for the make, model, and year was told to bring it in the same day. Upon arriving I was greeted by two gentlemen who were very professional and promptly got all the information they needed to get started. I waited roughly 30 minutes and the smog check was done and paperwork sent to the DMV. Paid for the service which was about fifty-five dollars in total and was on my way. A big shout out to AL and well f me running if I can't remember the other gentleman's name but, I will learn it and remember it next time. *Side note* The collection of hot wheels is something to behold in my humble opinion.
Got stranded in the desert on Saturday with a broken cv axle. On Monday once they opened within 2 hours of them working on my truck they were finished. The guys inside are extremely polite and know what they are doing. I would recommend that everyone brings their car here for whatever they need.
Have had these guys do quite a few car repairs for me in the past. They are really good & do really good work. Their prices are very fair too. If you’re having car problems they will probably help you. All you got to do is call them or stop by. As far as I remember they have been in business ever since I was a kid. I’m now 55.
Brought my vehicle in for a replacement of a failed starter motor. Also added an oil change, brake line flush, power steering fluid replacement, transmission fluid check. All of that appears to have been completed. The air duct sub-cover came back damaged in the area where the bolt fastens to the vehicle. The only way this could have happened is if it was forcibly pulled up without first removing the bolt. The rod-hood support assembly came back damaged. The only way this could have happened is if it was forcibly pulled out of its socket and pulled up from the wrong end where it is connected to the frame instead of the end that is free and in the slot on the right side. In other words, it was pulled up from the left end which is not free. Now it loosely dangles on that end and is clearly not secure like it was when I brought it in and it no longer fits into the slot on the right either. It seems like something is missing on the socket end and the free end slot was widened somehow. I forcibly pressed the slot back to make more narrow and it seems to be holding but I never had to do that ever before in over a decade. The car came back with a squeaking engine as if something is loose and moving around. When checking out, I was asked if the engine was squeaking when I brought it in. It was not and I told the man that. Then, when I was about to get in the car and start it up, one of the men who worked on it came over to me and told me they had spilled some type of fluid on the belt but it would go away, after a few days the most noticeable and obvious squeaking noise went away but I noticed another when I have the windows down traveling at a low speed of 5 to 10 mph. It sounds like a cricket chirping repeatedly. This wasn’t happening previous to my bringing the car in for service. Not sure what happened there. But it is very annoying.
