AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care in Rancho Cordova

had my chevy equinox 2010 transmission job done there with a cost over 5000 dollars, but in exactly 18month the transmission broke completly. When approached the shop, I was told the waranty was for 18month and just passed it. To redo the job it would cost again another 5K. I had to go to another transmission shop and found out that the Amaaco had not done a full rebuild with a full new kit, rather only done a partial job but charged full price. I had done a full rebuild in the other shop and cost me 2700. I would not recommend Amaaco to anyone. Do good research and find a better transmission place and before commiting to a job know the details and go for a real full rebuild or replace transmission unit.

Does not stand behind their work. Rebuilt transmission 2 months out of warranty but less than 5k miles driven and it failed. Would not fix or even diagnose without charge. I get warranties but this is ridiculous.

I called around for a auto diagnostic to figure out why exactly my check engine light would randomly come on. When it did my car would be a bit sluggish. Every place I called was charging a hefty price. This location was free. They had my car for the morning and figured out it was the transmission. They even called the dealership and figured out that it prob would be covered under my warranty. I was charged zero for this service. Jack the service writer was awesome and Mike the owner was great. I live really close and Mike even gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to wait. Great customer service... Reminds me of the old days when customer service actually mattered. I will def be bringing my car back for any service that isn't covered by my warranty. I'll be recommending you guys to people I know.

This is the second time these gentlemen have helped me. My commercial box truck had the cat stolen. They got it up and running asap. 4 years later CA law says the cat isn’t correct now. They instantly helped me get everything on track. They have ALWAYS been professional, communicative, helpful and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend them more. Thanks guys!!!

Just had my transmission rebuilt. At Aamco in rancho Cordova on coloma road. Very Honest people, They showed me the main part that they replaced and the reason why. And also requested I bring my car back in 10 to 14 days to make sure everything is working properly. Very happy with my choice definitely would recommend to go to Aamco!! (:

I love Aamco in Rancho Cordova. They can do most anything. I have been to other mechanics and they said they can’t do it. Aamco can do it.

Hi Mike, Mark, and Jack, I have a 2017 Ford 150 w/ a 10 speed transmission that went out at 140K miles. This particular transmission has had some negative reviews, and I really had some doubts that they would be able to rebuild it with success. When I first got it back they said drive to it for 1000 miles and see how it performs. It didn't, and the minor shifting problems began to accelerate. They took it back and ran some tests, changed some parts, actually dropped the transmission again to confirm the reassembly was correct - it was. Turns out that the new program module was defective from Ford. I've been driving it for several days now and it works perfectly. These guys stand firm behind their warranties and workmanship.
