We had a very comfortable cottage. There were two bedrooms, one bath, a full kitchen with dining area and a living area with a couch and loveseat. And a fireplace. There was an enclosed yard with picnic table. The kitchen was very well stocked. The unit was spotless. Sheets and towels were a good quality. The beds were comfy. Staff was friendly and efficient. There is a spa and an outdoor barbecue area with seating. The location is great. All around a very comfortable place to stay.
Our Celtic Harp group, Harpers Hall, held our annual retreat at Andril Fireplace Cottages and had a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly, helpful, and available to us, and the facilities were ideal for our group. ||We were in the two large cottages, Rancho Reposo and Casa Linda, and in addition one two-bedroom cottage. We played our harps in Rancho Reposo's large living room and ate our larger meals in Casa Linda's living room. The kitchen in Casa Linda was large enough for several people to be preparing meals, while the living room, with the help of a few folding tables, converted nicely into a dining and visiting area. ||We also enjoyed great weather and brought harps out to the enclosed front yard of Rancho Reposo for some of our music sessions.||We were so happy, we've booked for next year and added another night!
This was a great place to stay for friends or family. The cottages were cute and the grounds and landscaping was beautiful. Best of all, was that we had different, but all great staff during our four-day stay. I will definitely return. And, of course, the scenery in the nearby oceanside was spectacular!
We love this place and have returned over and over for years now. It's a unique experience in which you feel like you have your own cozy little home with a fireplace and bottomless firewood, about a quarter-mile from the most peaceful beach ever. When my life gets busy and stressful, I inevitably think "how long's it been since I had a little Andril time?" and I book myself a 3-4 day chill. Our dogs love the beach as well as the back lawn where they can run around (and get an easy bathroom break!) Asilomar Conference Grounds is across the street and it's nice to see the deer wander through - can also get a bite to eat at Phoebe's Cafe. The hot tub is a key part of the experience. And so are the staff, who are just 100% mellow and easy and helpful and welcoming. Last June my wife and daughter and some friends planned a trip to the Colombian coast and I'm sure they had a great time - the dogs and I chose to spend 5 days at Andril instead. And that was the right choice.
We stayed in cabin #17 and it was perfect. It is pretty while not ostentatious and has everything you need. The eating system is great and there is even an extra heater in the bathroom - loved it! We also enjoyed the private patio. It was terrific to have our best friend (faithful dog) with us and he enjoyed our visit as well. The proximity to the beach is also a definite plus!
We've stayed with Andril Fireplace Cottages for many years during the Christmas season. There's a reason we return year after year. They are extremely accommodating and the cottages and grounds are well maintained. The Smith Family are excellent hosts and work hard Pacific Grove Favoriteto keep this property a comfortable destination. We will continue to return for many years!
Our experience with Andril Cottages was delightful. This was a family outing with 14 family members to celebrate their grandmother's 80th birthday. Check in was supposed to be at 3:00 PM at the earliest but they were able to accommodate us much earlier. Kitchen was well stocked, cabin was very clean, staff was very helpful and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained and happy. This was actually the second time we had rented the larger cabin and both times have been wonderful.
Four of us friends' since school days spent four days at the Andril Fireplace Cottages and absolutely loved it. The accommodations are a number of cottages scattered around the property, which also includes lots of lawn area and inviting chaise lounges. There is a large fenced area for large groups or get togethers with a large picnic table. |The individual cottages are perfectly furnished and include small kitchens and plenty of bathrooms. The grounds are lovely and very inviting, and include a gas BBQ and nice spa.|Located near Asilomar, you are close to downtown Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove. We shared a large two story unit -- we had the downstairs unit, and never heard a peep from the upstairs unit. The kitchen was well stocked allowing us to make most of our meals right there. Our unit was sparkling clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the entire complex is very well maintained. One of the most relaxing places I have stayed.
So worth it must stay there ! They have real fireplace there so awesome! And the people where amazing ! And youll get greeted by a little dog which is so cute and so loving
We stayed here one week in October will attending a conference at the Asilomar conference center. This was a great place to stay with the dogs. There was a small fireplace in the cottage and separate kitchen area. Our cottage also had a small private fenced yard area. There were some basic breakfast supplies every day at registration (cereal and yogurt). The location was convenient for the Asilomar conference center and beach.

Gorgeous cabin, jet tub, real wood fireplace in cabin. Very nice people. The grounds were amazing. close to the ocean and many other attractions. Rooms: I actually have my own private patio which was awesome with a BBQ grill. It was also a community large on the grounds, and a community hot tub Nearby activities: The ocean with a 7 minute walk from my cabin Safety: I felt very safe

A nice friendly place to stay
This is at walking distance from Asilomar beach. We loved the cottage and facilities assigned to us. We also saw a deer outside our cottage and we were delighted y the sight. There is no pool but a small hot tub. They offer free breakfast and snacks all day. The free breakfast only has fruits and packaged stuff and nothing cooked. Overall we had a memorable stay here. Rooms: Rooms were neat and clean and are equipped with all things needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, fridge and gas and utensils needed for cooking and cleaning. Nearby activities: Asilomar beach is at walking distance

Stayed here for a conference at the Asilomar Conference Grounds. Less than 5 miniute walk to our conference location. Staff was awesome. Will definately stay here again.

Comfortable. Beautifully situated in the woods, not far from Pebbles Beach, the 17-Mile Drive, and the coast. Parking is available in front of the door, and Wi-Fi is good. You can light your own private kettle grill outside your room or use the communal gas grill. If grilling is offered, then washing up should also be possible. Here, that was only possible in the bathroom with the terry cloth towels. The kitchenette also lacks a sink and cooking facilities. Its a shame, because the facility is beautifully designed and fits well into the surroundings.

Best place to stayin the Monterey Pacific Grove area. Cottages are always spotless and the service is great. You can hear the ocean waves early in the morning and at night. Sounds so peaceful. It is walking distance to the beach and a very short drive to Cannery Row, The Aquarium and Fishermans Wharf. We have stayed every anniversary here for the past 10+ years and plan on going every year. The staff is wonderful and I love that it is family owned. Passed down through generations. You will never regret staying here. So many nice relaxing things to say about this place. My words could never do it justice
This was our third stay at Andril. This time we were in the Rancho Reposo House with 8 adults and two kids. Loved the fenced yard and more than enough room in the house for all of us. Staff were so friendly. Michael kept us well stocked with firewood and super helpful with all our questions. Grounds are great, kids loved the giant chairs. All of us enjoyed the wood carvings around the property and the snacks in the office. Walking distance to the beach. We will definitely be back!!! We ve been coming here as a family on and off for almost 20 years and it always feels like home. The managers always help us feel comfortable during Christmas in big ways and small. Tonight for instance we were missing some lasagna ingredients and they graciously shared. Small touches like this go a long way and don t exist many places.
We choose the Andril Fireplace Cottages in Pacific Grove as we were in town for the ATT Pro Am February 2024. It was convenient to downtown PG restaurants, shopping and shuttle to Pebble Beach. The King room cottage was perfect for 2 of us. It had a Keurig coffee pot, and some basic bowls plates and utensils. Cold cereal, rolls, juice available in the office. Snacks in afternoons. There was a nice size mini fridge, and microwave. The heat comes from the gas fireplace, and we really appreciated how cozy the room was on a cold and rainy week. It was nice to have the fridge and we stocked up at the market with breakfast foods, salads. Recommend Trader Joes or Andronicos for markets. The staff members were very attentive, kind and provided great service. Our entry way was fenced and had a bbq and small cafe table for sitting outside. We did not have our dog on this trip, but noticed lots of walking areas and trails nearby for that. Will definitely be back here! Gorgeous area with big trees really makes it feel remote.
This establishment is darling, pet friendly and now will be our go to place when we are in Pacific Grove/ Monterey area. Kirsten the owner, and all the staff are kind and hospitable. We stumbled on this place and made reservations super last minute. The room was fantastic with cute fire place, a fenced patio and grill. They have a great yard area for the dogs. Bottomline its a well maintained property, great location and comfortable beds. Our family, including our pup loved staying here. Call them to book instead of some travel website...they are easier to deal with. We will for sure be back. ***Edit we extended our stay for additional days. We stayed in a two bed room cottage one night, AMAZING. The next two nights we stayed in a darling king room with a kitchen, also AMAZING. The patio was fenced and had a grill. Walking to the beach with our family, having a fire every night and enjoying our stay at Andril was one of my favorite vacations of all time...and I travel for a living. We will be back for sure.

We loved the cottages. We stayed in a two bedroom with one bathroom but the extra vanity outside the bathroom was a nice touch. The beds were extremely comfortable. Loved the atmosphere of this property. It was a wonderful place to stay.

We love this place. Each cottage is different and fully furnished. Had a fenced in yard to bbq and for the dogs also. All staff if friendly and just once you meet them they are like friends for forever. Big lawn area for the dogs to play. We never go anywhere else when in Pacific Grove.
The staff seem very on top of things including the cleaning staff and front desk. The grounds are beautiful including the spa and lawn area. Its a bit out dated but still in good shape. Our cottage was lacking things we were told would be staples of every cottage including basic seasonings, a dish brush. Our stay was very enjoyable and we would certainly go back.

Our family of five stayed there for a week and it could not have been any better! Great location and friendly people. The housekeeping staff and groundskeepers are top notch. We would definitely go back if we did not live so far away. Highly recommended!
Cant say enough nice things about the property. It is family owned and operated. Each cabin or room is different. We stayed in the king studio room. Having a refrigerator and kitchen was helpful to limit eating out with a restricted diet. There were patios for most of the cabins and ours had a balcony with outdoor eating area. Each cabin also had a grill and there was a large centrally located gas grill for larger parties. Coffee maker with coffee and microwave popcorn were included. They also had free movies and lending library in the lobby, as well as coffee and tea, plus grab and go snacks (free). The property is dog friendly and had a large yard for families and pets to play. It is located across from Asilomar and close to the Pacific Grove golf course. We will definitely be back. It is a great place for larger groups or multiple family groups to gather.
I must admit that I haven t stayed here but my friend gave me a tour of their cottage and the surroundings. This is a pet-friendly location with grounds to walk your dog and the beach is within walking distance. They have accommodations for up to 12 people so this is a great place for a family reunion. We plan on suggesting Andril Fireplace Cottages to any friends or family looking for a nice place with reasonable prices.
Only one regret.... Having only taken one night! In our Road trip, I think this is where we spent our best night. It must be said that everything is perfect: a personalized welcome where we are welcomed and accompanied to our accommodation, an ultra-equipped cottage (clean and cozy), very nice collective outdoor spaces (in addition to your personal garden), and all in a true haven of peace. The best part is this little fireplace that we were able to have in the evening. Really perfect for a very reasonable price

Andrils been our go to place for over 20 years in Pacific Grove. Staff is always exceptional and tries to accommodate every request, rooms are clean and its located in a perfect spot. Cant say enough good things about Andril Fireplace Cottages! Update: Just stayed again (October). Everything I said above still holds true. Staff member even came to help with a tv that wasnt working correctly even though it was about 3 minutes until he was due to be off.

I am so glad to have discovered this wonderful gem. We stayed for three nights arriving in the midst of a torrential rainstorm. Even though there was a large downed tree and other things going on the check in process was smooth and the staff beyond pleasant. We stayed in a stand alone studio king cottage. Everything was clean and well taken care of- inside and out- at the property. We loved the jetted tub and gas assist wood burning fireplace. The location is within walking distance to the beach. And to top things of- being so pet friendly really makes trips even more joyful for us. Definitely will return to this special spot in the future.

This was our fourth visit to Andril Cottages. Nice accommodations and friendly, helpful staff. It was raining when we arrived, which we anticipated, and we were planning on staying inside and mostly eating out. A big storm blew over a giant pine tree across from our cottage which was exciting. Their staff got right to work cutting it up and hauling it away, not an easy task! And then the power went out for most of one afternoon, meaning no lights, no TV, no internet. Certainly not their fault, but it was a bummer none-the-less. Despite these events, we had a good time and enjoyed the cottages. We will return next time we are in the Pacific Grove area.
Not much bang for the buck. The whole place felt strange from the corner store snacks for breakfast to no wi-fi or cable, but some movies you check out from the front desk.
The Andril Fireplace Cottages are Sublime. We are 12 friends and we booked two large units: Rancho Reposo and Linda - both were divine. Carrie at the Front Office was so smart, efficient, and friendly. The owners are wonderful! Wonderful beds and linens, huge kitchens, patios, yards, so much space, parking Loved the fire places! And the rainstorm of the century happened on Day Two - no electricity I promptly went to the office and we were given two lanterns for each cabin - no electricity think about it. And, the office delivered huge, warm, blankets to our cabins to soften the blow. While we didnt get a chance to use: -Outdoor hot tub -Large open lawn for families/ perfect for picnics and play -Central gas barbeque island -Peaceful English garden with fountain and seating -Ping pong table etc.etc We all agreed we would happily return.
Cute one room cottage. The bed is comfy, maybe bring your own pillows. They have grab and go snacks anytime and breakfast items in the mornings. They have blue ray movies to check out. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The one negative thing was that our cottage reeked of smoke. I have a fireplace at home and our house does not smell so I m not sure why this cottage smelled so bad. We opened the windows but that didn t help. All our our clothes and suitcases now smell like smoke too.
Quiet, close to the beach, helpful staff, fireplaces with plenty of wood, sounds like five stars right? But the beds are pretty darn firm. Like the firmest I have ever seen in a hotel. But I will return. Loved everything else.
My friends and I stayed here in April 2021. What a super nice place. Very comfy, homey and great service. It is close to the beach - a few minutes walk. Nice and rustic with all the modern amenities!

We.have stayed here twice now, and loved it both times. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean and well appointed, parking assigned, and out door amenities excellent. And a 15 minute walk to the beach. What more could you ask for.

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. This place is a hidden gem. Walkable distance from Asilomar state beach. Away from Monterey downtown. The cottage I booked was 5 guest with private small yard space. I have two noisy kids but no issues. They had hot tub open with honor system. Housekeeping was great! All the linens were clean and fresh. I will definitely return to this place if I find booking based on my schedule. This is one of the best places to stay in an around Monterey and Pacific Grove. Nice clean cabins with lots of windows, full kitchen and small dining area. Unfortunately, the bed in our unit was lumpy, the shower valves were very touchy and hard to control the water temperature. Our cabin also smelled smoky due to the wood burning fireplace.

Cute setting, cottages were really nice and clean great staff only problem was we stayed in cottage 11 and the parking space was next to a tree that got sap all over my car.

We stayed only for one night on a trip back south. Staff was accommodating, friendly, informative, and very nice. Rooms were clean, cozy, and had everything you needed. We will definitely stay here again next time were in the area, hopefully for longer next time!

I had a lovely long weekend away at Andril. The cottage was clean and cozy. The grounds were well kept and beautiful! All the staff were very warm, welcome, and hospitable. A great place that is COVID safe as you are in your own cottage! Highly recommend!
When our family comes out they stay here. We are locals that love this place. Our family rents the 5 bedroom house which is great for a reunion. And the ocean is walking distance. We would recommend Andril Inn to anyone who wants a taste of the old PG days
Love this place. Very quiet and peaceful.
Was a great 3 days stay with my husbands son and dtr in law. When we checked in was told would be a little while before our room was ready was told it was a 10 min walk to the beach, which our dtr in law said her father in law was 94 yrs old and handicap so could not walk that far.. So took a drive when we came back they had upgraded our cottage to one with a ramp and two bedrooms. Very help for people We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends.

5/5 . Stayed in the Casa Linda with my wifes family for 6 nights. 4 Bedrooms (2 bedrooms with Kings, 1 bedroom with a King & Queen, & 1 bedroom with a Queen.) 2 bathrooms with showers. Very large couch & a very large mounted flat screen TV. Great kitchen and great outdoor tables/seating. Amazing location & an amazing time. 100% would come here again. *Side note* - If the hot tub isnt getting super hot, tell the person in the office & theyll fix it for you.
The cottages are cute and clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The only problem with our stay was the bed, it was like sinking into quicksand when we layed down. I had actually never experienced anything quite like it. I woke up with a horrible neck and headache. Luckily it was close proximity to the beach where I could walk and let the ocean air clear my head out a bit. Hopefully theyll replace that bed soon for other visitors.
This place is the best. We needed to find a place that took dogs. And booked a room for a couple nights. Our cottage was perfect. A fireplace, kitchen, and small backyard for the dogs to roam. Kitchen is very small to cook and use but we managed. The only let down was our fridge, it didnt keep things quiet as cold as wed liked but luckily we didnt have a bunch of stuff just drinks (that still needed ice after being in the fridge for 2 days) but all in all the place was lovely. We will be back another day with our dogs. Staff in the office was very nice and oh they have complimentary snacks anytime for us guests, and small items for breakfast (cereal, yogurt, granola bars, danishes and keurig coffee in the office) even doggy treats anytime. And theres a hot tub on the grounds, NO POOL we didnt use it.

What a wonderful place to stay. Its truly a hole in the wall ordeal, offering nothing but the best. If I had to discrib it it I would say it has the quiet look and feel of a KOA campground but minus the camping. The landscaping and buildings are beautiful and cozy, and its location is just a short jaunt from the Sea side. Two key features that won me over were the easy to light fire places with in the cottage (wood fire place with gas kindler) and the costumer service who would even answer our calls at 1am when something went wayward.

Andril Cottages are very homey and are like having your own mini-home by the sea! The employees are very nice and friendly. There is a parking spot for every cottage, but if youre bringing two cars you might have to park a minutes walk away. Amenities include HBO and Blu-Ray players, coffee and popcorn in the rooms, and Wi-Fi (good signal strength). My bed had memory foam and was quite comfy; everything was quite clean and nice. If the price looks right to you, Andril Cottages is a very nice and cozy place to stay by the sea.
The house I was in was great for the family event we had. A nice fenced yard for dogs and children, a hot tub to soak in and the bus pickes you up on the street to get you to other places.

Beautiful cottages. Stayed in the Casa Linda. We had five adults and one small child. So much space for all of us. Hot tub was great and loved the little free library. The walk to the beach is about five minutes.

I have been going to Pacific Grove for over 30 years I have never stayed at Andrew but I can guarantee you I have to save a little bit it is not a cheap place to stay but a very worthwhile and atmosphere is phenomenal

We had a wonderful family Christmas at Andril Fireplace Cottages. We rented Rancho Reposo and had room for 9 adults and two toddlers. Walking distance to Asilomar State Park Beach. Fabulous. Family. Friendly... we loved it !
We have been staying at this wonderful dog friend cottage establishment for over 20 years. Kevin & his wife have kept the property up and keep making on going improvement. The fireplaces, comfortable stocked kitchens, free DVD rentals and over ambience is a total retreat. Private patios on many of cottages - love unit 17!! Even though the kitchen is small the patio is to die for. Even the small king rooms that dont have fireplaces or kitchens are comfortable and well appointed. This is a very special place for you or you and your puppy.

Unfortunately we had a few issues (sink and soap dispenser), but this place was reasonable and staff addressed all issues and were gracious. Nice, comfortable place.

Amazing, clean, modern cottages. Great service and a great price. Located just a few minutes to the beach by foot. Pet friendly and great for young children. Wish I stayed more than one night. Will come back again for sure.
Weve stayed here multiple times and its been great every time. We take the whole family and theyre always super accommodating. Facilities could use a little updating, but everything functions great

My wife and I are on our first anniversary, plus we didnt have a honeymoon, so this place is perfect. The rooms are little cottages that are standalone. The one we got is like a studio. It has a fireplace, kitchen and a balcony. It is very room and intimate. You dont have to worry too much about bothering people. It is close to the ocean. Also, for any pet lovers, pets are welcome for an extra $18 a night. We are enjoying this place a lot and already planning to come back next year.
Very nicely appointed. Staff is very attentive. Great for medium to large sized groups. We are here for a biannual family reunion of ~50 people aged 11 months to 89 years.
We go there at least once a year for family gatherings. Its like going back in the past when things were basic and closer.

The benefits of this establishment are its location, quiet and simplicity. Nice kitchen and decent, clean bathroom. As far as pricing goes, there are less expensive cabin choices at Andril than youll find in most other establishments in the area. This is why we chose the place for a short vacation, and we were very pleased with being so close to Asilomar Beach and the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary - just a hop away. Why Im giving this business 3 stars instead of 4 relates to the the actual living/sleeping are of the cottage we chose, which, again, was an economy choice. The front door opened right into a couple of chairs awkwardly positioned at the foot of the bed. It seemed like a strange arrangement and not very comfortable. Carpet and bedding were on the worn side, which was surprising given the nice quality of the kitchen and bath. So, this was in no way a 4 or 5 star establishment, but if you are going to Monterey to be outside, it will do for cooking and sleeping in. If you are looking for a fancy experience, another choice may be better.

Very nice cozy rooms. There are lots of nice outdoor areas including a large BBQ area, a jacuzzi, a large grassy area with Frisbee golf and tether ball. The front desk has lots of blue rays that you can borrow. Their staff is very friendly.
We come here with our family and love it. It is dog friendly and very close to the Spanish bay beach.

After our first trip, The Cottages are an annual tradition. Family and dog friendly. Very clean well-maintained facilities. Family owned for 55 years. A perfect little corner of the world for a weekends R&R.
Really like this place. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Its on the rustic side but in a good way. The rooms and property are very clean. Its quiet enough to hear the ocean at night. Wife, cable and they have a movie library. Outdoor sitting and picnic area and ping pong tablr.

After many trips to the Andrils, I have yet to find a place that makes me feel more comfortable and relaxed. A short walk to Asilomar Beach and The Fishwife Restaurant. Highly recommended...
