America's Tire in Mountain View

Exec summary: OUTSTANDING for: ease of pre-ordering online, fair price, easy check-in procedure, a very friendly, attentive, and efficient team, and a very clean facility inside and out. All the benefits of a chain in terms of pricing and availability, but the team really made it feel like a small shop that cares. Details: I needed a replacement set of tires soon, anyway, due to age, and then two sprung a slow leak. The dealer was booking 3 weeks out, and Tire Track wasn't going to deliver very quickly. I checked online, and A's T had stock of the tires that I wanted at several locations. And as it turns out, I had a several hour block today between rides in the southern Peninsula. Both this location and another had stock, but this one was closer and had a slightly better rating. So, I ordered the tires online yesterday evening. You can optionally book an appointment at the same time, so I grabbed the earliest one (11:15am). However i was free much earlier than that so I arrived at 7:50am and there were only two people already there. They opened a few min early and it was very quick to check in since I pre-ordered. They said they could have me put in less than hour (I was fearing much longer!). I had some special requests and I could really feel the service advisor understood what I was asking for. The waiting room was very clean there's a window at the end where you can see into the shop. My car ended up first in the shop and it was truly amazing how they had two teams (one for each side) working simultaneously to get it done rapidly, each with their own mounting and road force balancing machines. I felt line a F1 driver for a bit, with my own pit crew. You could really see them work together as a well-oiled machine and the supervisors were helping in too. I was really impressed. They took extra care with the road force balancing and achieved a very successful result, which was important for me to provide my customers an ultra smooth ride. I've watched a lot of people bumble through using (and misusing) the hunter RF balancers, but it was clear this team had training. That's a big plus for me. At the end, they did a nice job cleaning up the wheels and tires, which isn't something many places do, and i was on my way less than an hour after arriving. I couldn't believe it! I will be back for certain, even though they are three counties away from where I live.

First ever America’s Tire that got me disappointed. Had an appointment at 9:45am and reached there before 9:45 and I was waiting. There was an employee who happened to open the door for me while going inside and saw that I was clearly inside before anyone else was there. I was there waiting while others few arrived as well but instead of helping out who came in first and also had an appointment, he just randomly called the guy who arrived later than me. And this happened the second time when other guy also called another lady before me. Turns out they neither value Appointments scheduled nor someone who arrived first. I love America’s Tire and their services but today’s incident was just so random and was not necessary. I was already on a time crunch and not being obliged of appointment scheduled or being there sooner I will be taking business elsewhere. Do better guys. You guys can clearly see who arrived first and first thing first ask who is there for the appointment so that these kind of mistake don’t happen again.

Professional staff. Great experience. I came in because my tire pressure light came on twice in a week. They said if they could fix it they will do so free of charge. When I came pick it up they said the tire is fixed and you are good to go. Free of charge. They didn’t even ask me to write a review or anything.

Can be very busy, but I've had my air pressure checked here a few times, and everyone is always very helpful. Just be patient because there is always a queue! Jon Rae was extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. Would be happy to go back to him anytime. Thanks so much!

The quality of the service and overall experience is below average. May be due to the shop being busy. There is usually a long line of customers. I got a set of four tires replaced and mounted. The paint from two wheels was scraped in the process. Quite noticeable as the wheels are curb rash/damage free and ceramic coated. I spent months trying to have them cover repair costs; reconsider if you care about quality or damage to your fit and finish.

Today, I took my car to this location because of tires noise. I told them I couldn't wait long and needed an appointment. They said it would only take about 45 minutes. When I returned for my appointment, they made me wait about two hours. Their customer service was very poor, and it seemed like people weren't served in order. After driving on the highway, the noise was still there. They wasted my time and didn't fix the problem. They were not professional at all.

Review is long over due, been coming here for over 10years now with 3 different cars and each time a great experience. The team is always friendly , professional, efficient, truly cares and patient with my countless questions as I know nothing about tires. Over the years they have been the go to for countless tire rotations, air checks, tread checks, found nails and repaired at no cost. A few month ago one tire was dropping pressure very very slowly over a few weeks, even after a coupe normal bubble test a team member saw a tiny nail and again repaired at no cost. The only place to care for tires.

Went for a free tire rotation (you get it if you buy tires from them). Easy to set up appointment and a quick process. Staff were friendly and helpful.
