I went to green tech on 04/09 because of my Prius with the triangle of death. It had been like that for 2 weeks. KC was the workers name, found the problem out and fixed it within the hour. I 100% recommend going to Hayward green tech and having your car checked out by KC.

I found Greentec online when my 2010 Prius battery finally gave out. The dealer quoted me $5800 to replace the battery, so I called Greentec. I was able to purchase a refurbished battery through them with a two year warranty for $2000 including the mobile installation fee. Eduardo drove 3 hours to my home and installed the battery for me. He made sure everything was running great before he left. So far, my car has been running like it used to and I haven't had any issues.

Greentec replaced the HV battery on my 2007 Prius with 167k miles. Overall I am very happy with the experience and would definitely use them again if my 2010 Prius battery happens to go out as well. This was my wife's car and despite the higher miles, it held a lot of sentimental value for her. Being the cheap husband I am, I didn't want to spend more than what the car was actually worth (Toyota quoted $3-4k for their replacement battery). I debated ordering the battery and installing myself but ultimately decided to use their mobile installation service ($350) just to minimize any potential warranty claim issues in the future. Their 24 month warranty battery ($1399 w/o taxes) seemed like the perfect way to go for our situation. The entire ordering and installation scheduling process was extremely easy taking only a couple of 5 minute phone calls. I requested the service on a Monday morning and their field technician was at my home installing the battery by Wednesday. I want to give huge shoutouts to Eduardo who performed the installation and Matt who initially took the order. Eduardo was incredibly patient explaining the installation process clearly and answered all of our questions before beginning the process. My wife could not say enough good things about him after he had left which is an incredible compliment as she's not one often to do that. While their quick response was appreciated, what I was more impressed by was their diligence investigating whether it was the HV battery at fault and not some other component in the hybrid system before placing my battery order and before beginning the installation. Matt took the time to ask questions about symptoms, vehicle codes and if I had happened to have taken it to a Toyota dealership for diagnosis (which I had). Eduardo actually ran diagnostics on his laptop which identified all of the vehicle codes present and what appeared to be the bad cells (blocks 4 & 5) in the hybrid pack. This definitely gave me confidence that it was in-fact the battery at issue and not the inverter or electric motor itself before actual installation. While time will tell about the durability of the replacement battery, the car drives perfectly without any codes or previous acceleration issues. And if in the unlikely situation that there is an issue the, 24 month warranty gives me peace of mind that the car will be around for at least another couple of years, hopefully much much longer. I'm glad they are available as an option to those of us who don't want to spend dealership prices for this service.

Tiffany - service date 1/21/25: Honestly, from start to finish the process was smooth and easy, and WAY less expensive then I had anticipated! Started with a chat question on the Greentec website if they could do in a parking garage (apartment living, don't rent or own a house) and was given an ok, from there the representative helped me book the installation and order my battery (as opposed to and easier then trying to do myself online). Day of, KC my installation technician, showed up on time, was professional and patient and he explained what was going on. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs a hybrid battery...was dreading going through a shop or the dealer without warranty...spent half of what I budgeted for, and didn't even have to leave the house to get it done.

I am so pleased with Greentec. They were able to get the part to fix my vehicle very quick. Eduardo the manager is awesome with his communication and information. They even filled my tires and vacuumed my car inside. My vehicle runs great and I look forward to another 150k miles with my rebuilt battery inverter.

These guys were great. I drove a 2015 Toyota Prius, and the car was starting to lose power, eventually I got the warning lights on my dash telling me to pull over and check the engine. So I called these guys to schedule an appointment to replace my hybrid battery, which didn’t sound cheap. Before I took my car in, I noticed my 12volt battery had a lot of built up acid around the connectors, so I replaced that first, which reset the warning lights. I was so happy that I didn’t have to spend as much money on the hybrid battery, so I called Greentec Auto and spoke to Eduardo to cancel my appointment. He said he was happy it seemed fixed, but warned me that my hybrid battery pack would still need replacement, and that the warning light would come on again within a few weeks, maybe a month or so. Well, it did. Several weeks later the warning lights came on again and I scanned my car; it was the hybrid battery pack again. So I bit the bullet and took my car into their shop to have the hybrid battery replaced, and before they did that they scanned my car and found that the ignition coils and spark plugs needed replacement, and that if they installed the battery first without fixing the plugs and coils, it might fail again at some point in the future, voiding the warranty because they warned me ahead of time to fix it. So I ran home and replace the spark plugs and ignition coils, called Eduardo up again and he said they could take me for an appointment the same day. They fixed it up in just 45 minutes, and it was cheaper than expected. Now my car runs smoothly again, with more power than when I bought it. I’m very pleased with the outcome, and I’m happy they took me in so last minute so I didn’t have to reschedule my appointment. I highly recommend their service.

I would highly recommend using Greentec. The pricing of the battery that I had replaced was the best that I could find elsewhere, installation was at a much lower cost compared to another quote, communication was excellent and the battery was manufactured in the U.S. Also, I had confidence in the quality of the battery and the installation since EV and hybrid batteries are what Greentec specializes in. I found Greentec online after a very frustrating experience trying to get information regarding warranty and pricing of a replacement hybrid battery from our local Toyota dealer in San Francisco (I finally got warranty information from Toyota USA who ended up calling our local dealer!). BTW, the warranty for a hybrid battery for a 2014 Camry is 1 year and the cost somewhere between 2-4k (the dealer wasn’t sure even though I gave them the make and year of the car). I sent an email to Greentec and they promptly replied (within a couple of couple of hours). After sending emails with follow up questions (also answered promptly), I received the warranty information for a new replacement battery (3 years) and a quote which was half of what a local mechanic wanted to charge (Heidi at Greentec was great). After placing the order for a new battery (no deposit asked for up front), their local shop in Hayward contacted me to set up an appointment. The morning of the appointment, our son was ill and his doctor was able to see him but we didn’t know if we could get back from the Greentec appointment in time. I called Eduardo at Greentec and he was great. He fit us in earlier and the work was done with plenty of time to spare for the doctor’s appointment. Again, I would highly recommend using Greentec.
