America's Tire in Clovis

I’m writing this before they’re done, James assisted me, the waiting room is under construction, but the waiting area was set up in back, thank goodness! I didn’t want to wait standing up! My appt was 8:00, but there was 5 people there at 8! So I was worried they wouldn’t have in done in time. They estimated 30 minute wait. So far everyone was nice and courteous, he gave me several options, with 3 tires in the green, one in the RED… which I knew this already from Nissan service tech. I couldn’t afford 4, nor even 2, he brought up they have financing, but I just asked for RED one to be replaced… I’ll update when it’s done. Usually I like these guys, they’re quick and friendly. And always try to help.

Had a great experience here! Manager Jay was so helpful and personable. I bought new tires from another location in Portland OR six months ago. I was traveling near Sanger when I needed an oil change. The dealership alerted me that my brand news tires were already showing cracking and discoloration. So I apparently got some bum tires. Not super convenience, but I wasn't mad about it; it happens sometimes. Luckily, I had purchased the tire warranty (Pro tip: ALWAYS GET THE TIRE WARRANTY). So once I got done at the dealership, I raced over to America's Tire in Clovis to get things taken care of. Jay got me taken care of right away and also suggested some different tires. I was a little bit leery about switching brands because I didn't have time to properly do any homework on them, but he said I had 30 days to decide if I like them or not and if not, could go to any Discount and get them switched out for something else. However, he was pretty confident I was going to like the Yokohamas he suggested. I'm still seeing how they do in various conditions, but so far, I really am liking them! They are much quieter than the Michelin and Goodyears I've had in the past, and they really grip the road. The whole process was made smooth and easy, with no fussing around. Very much appreciated and highly recommend this location!

Best price in town for the tires I was looking for. Didn't damage my rims. They remounted my spare in my trunk and bagged up and loaded up my replaced good tires in my car. Tires were delivered next day. Job was done in an hour. James was incredibly knowledgeable and gave me insight into the tire rotation increase per tire without even asking which informed me about extra gas usage. Very quick easy, and well priced. No complaints, very honest. Will be returning here in the future 👍

This review is more of a caution. The service was good, and people were nice. The caution is they did not honor what was agreed. I had compared prices to make sure pricing is inline or comparable. I called back and asked if I can match prices with all warranties that I normally get with all other vehicles I have on my account. I make an appointment and drop off car. This is where I went wrong, I took it for granted that they added the warranties I asked for included in the price we agreed. It was my fault for not going back over all the details before I left. I was bummed that at checkout that the warranties were not added to the price agreed and they had no care to help make it right. Again this review is more of a caution and make sure you read all the fine print several times or they will read it to you and don’t take there word for it especially over the phone.

I used to go to American Tire Co on Shaw and it used to take hours and the service was lackluster. My first time at America Tire’s for a blown out tire. It took less than an hour to replace 2 tires. I didn’t even think that was even possible. Really impressed by this location, especially since my previous experiences at other tire shops were not the best. Always have the best service here. I’ve been a customer at this location since I got my first car at 16 and now I’m 36. Guys are professional and nice. Great communication and accurate time frames. Will always take my cars here.

Jay and Josh at American Tire are excellent. I drove in because of a flat tire a few months ago. I didn't realize how bad my rims had gotten and I had 3 other tires that needed to be replaced, too. Jay was very honest with me about what people like verses what people need and I stick to what I need. I rolled out of there on the same day with perfect rims and tires for my Corolla and I get to take the vehicle in for free inspection if needed. Two days ago, my truck was in trouble and I needed to get all 4 tires replaced. I emailed and called and Josh and Jay responded to me promptly. I called them at around a quarter to 3 and by 3:15pm Josh had given me a quote, I had approved the quote, he had scheduled me in, AND the truck was in the shop. The service was complete within the hour, no additional taxes or fees, and I had the truck back by 5pm. Thanks guy!

I got tires, in/out in about 45 minutes. They also told me my lug nuts were bad, which I knew, but always forgot to replace. Kudos for the suggestion. Their price was fair as well. Friendly staff too.
