I brought my salvage car to Rios Auto Tech after it was recommended by a friend. I had bought this 2011 bmw 328i a while ago but it still had the airbag and seatbelt lights on dash, and I couldn t get it registered until I fixed this problem. I couldn t have picked a better place! The service I received was above expectations!! My car was not only fixed the next day, but they even washed and cleaned the car for me. They were very honest about the problems the car had, showed me all the codes that were failing and walked me thru the whole process. Never charged me more than was originally stated. I m glad I chose this place and I can t recommend it enough

Magnificent and friendly service. He knew what he was doing while fixing my Nissan 2011. I would recommend this mechanic shop to other people!!!

The owner threatened me, saying that I need to remember that he has my phone number and address when I told him I was going to do a review!!! Extremely unprofessional (and it seems unethical) owner. My check engine light has been on 2 yrs, which I told him and gave him the codes that were preventing my car from passing smog that AutoZone and another non-star station told me. He said what those places told me doesnt mean anything because they dont do the work that he specializes in. He said they guess, but that he is a master mechanic.Within 15 minutes, he reset car and said that light may stay off and then I only will pay for certificate but if it comes back on then I pay $280 for re-routing. (He said for sure the problem wasnt what the other places GUESSED). Within 10 miles, light came back on so I called him&he said to bring in and assured me that cost would be $280 out the door. And he reminded me again how he is a master mechanic. After me taking car in and him having it 2 hrs, he had his son call to tell me that it was a different problem that would be very expensive. I went back to the shop and he kept saying he didnt want me to be upset and on and on and then gave me very confusing explanations of what was needed. He said he could replace computer (which was VERY expensive) and car would be fixed and engine light would stay off and I would pass OR he could reset car again and then do the test so it WILL PASS-he said he would know what miles to do and how to test car right before the light comes on so it will pass but he said after test, light may stay on again. He said it was all legal, that he would never do anything wrong and that the cost was $260. I said that since he wasnt fixing the problem he originally said (for a re-route for $280 that would permanently solve problem&keep light off)that I thought $150 would be fair since the light would be on again after test. He completely changed his attitude once I said that. He said he was trying to help me so he wouldnt charge for the hours he worked on car and I would just pay $260 and get test passed. And when I again said that $260 seemed high since he wasnt doing what he originally said, he told me to just take the car then or I have to do the expensive repair (new computer) to keep light permanently off. When I asked his son why his dad was offering one solution for $260 but then getting upset and saying I had to just leave or do the expensive computer option, he said his dad is that way: that I should have just paid the $260 but since I mentioned $150 that his dad now thinks maybe I would complain later about the light coming back on since I was complaining about $260. Thats when I began saying that his dads attitude was not customer-service oriented and that I would write a review about that. When I asked the father for his card, he then said he could be a nice guy but if Im going to do something like that then he will go the opposite way too---and then he said : remember I have your address and phone!!!! What kind of a professional implies THREATS to a customer!!....the GREAT NEWS: there are other decent people out there and a TRUE professional fixed my problem which was NOT computer-he replaced a few hoses and the light is permanently off and I paid only $130!!!!

This place is located inside the Arco gas station. Ive been going to Rios auto tech for a couple of years already and I always receive great fast service. I usually take both cars to get an oil change and he always goes the extra mile in checking everything else. I also do my smog with him and he is fast and accurate. Hes always upfront with the problem and cost. Once the job is done he guarantees his work and I never have to take the car back for the same problem.

I bought a Cargo Van A few months ago at really low price but because engine was supposdly gone. I took my van here and Mr Rios offferme to do a diagnostic first and my surprise he fix a few problems and we did not have to replace engine. He did the job right first time and to a very affordable price I highly recommend this mechanisc shop. I also took my car for Oil Change Service and got it done as well fast better that my dealer.
