Walnut Creek Transmission in Walnut Creek

Took my car here for diagnosis, I have an Audi and specifically called to ask if they had a VDCS, they claimed they did. Turns out they didn't and they got generic codes for my transmission issues. Specialized EURO code readers, are not the same as specific VDCS. Charged me 250$ for a quick scan which was completely unhelpful since I already scanned the car and let them know of the codes I had scanned. My expectation when I dropped off my car was #1 Verify the codes that I pulled #2 Check the condition of the fluid #3 Verify the fluid pump is actually working As a transmission repair shop, these are the things I personally would have suggested to the customer before having them pay the bill and leave. I can't image any world where a customer would be happy to pay a bill for the codes already scanned without doing any actual mechanical work on the car on the lift. As a hobby mechanic my self, I have personally repaired auto transmission solenoids my self in my driveway performed engine swapped, so maybe I'm not your typical customer. However, the fact that I took the car to another shop to perform a deep fluid flush and filter change speaks to my dissatisfaction on this job. I have edited and added one star because I have worked with WC transmission before for another reason and they where helpful.

Wonderful staff!! They explained everything they did to fix my vehicle very thoroughly. I have been very happy with their work on my vehicles.
