We went to pick up a couple dozen bags of garden soil. The staff was friendly and very helpful, even helping to load the bags on my truck
Can I just say I have never experienced such horrible customer service especially from the employee Nancy. Ironic because she works in the customer service section of the store. She was completely rude did not want to help rolled her eyes , I understand it was late I went around 9pm but I was just going in to return an item , simple. Seems like she is not the only employee with poor customer service skills while I was in an aisle there were two men next to me trying to find an item an african American employee with a tattoo above his left eyebrow over heard them looking for the item when up to them and told them “it’s right there , READ” one of the men states they did not see because they were looking at the section above . He then laughs at them and tells them it says it there as well and to read. Mind you they did not bother him for help what so ever , he went up to them !!! Anyways the only employee there that I has a good interaction with during my short visit was Naima. She was very kind , ended up helping me with my return and seemed to be the only person there with good communication skills and knew what she was doing /talking about and willing to help customers .
To the store manager! I purchased a washer/Dryer machine at home depot my gas hose would not fit properly after 5-7 Home Depot trips a few purchased and returned “solutions” suggested by “knowledgeable personnel”. I was lucky enough to run in to RICHARD TRUJILLO. Who automatically knew what the problem is as i described it offered me a $5 adapter that automatically worked! Please reward him somehow! The most knowledgeable person i ever encountered at HOME DEPOT!
Unacceptable Abussive and violent Treatment at Home Depot 16800 Roscoe blvrd, Van NuysCA91406 I'm extremely disappointed and distressed after being falsely accused of stealing a drill at the Home Depot store in Van Nuys. On December 31 2024 I completed my purchase and exited the store, only to be confronted by three aggressive employees (LP Jacob, Kevin, and another unidentified individual). Despite my protests, they detained me in a backroom, yelled at me, and confiscated my phone. The cashier's negligence had left the drill unscanned in my friend's car, but instead of apologizing, the staff chose to harass and intimidate me. I’m under stress since 31 December. They took photos of me and my personal information without justification.also the security guard from his private phone took photos of my sensitive informations. I was humiliated and threatened, and my multiple requests to call the police were ignored .they kept me 1 hour , I explained to them I m a contractor I spend a ton of money at home depot never I had any problem but they ignore they discriminate because English is my second language . To make matters worse, a woman standing outside the door yelled at me, saying "Can he be quiet? His voice is annoying me. Can he stop? His voice is bothering me. I don’t like hearing him talk. Can he stop talking NOW?" Her unprofessional behavior added to the chaos. When I asked for her name, I was told "You don't need to know her name." It's appalling that Home Depot employees feel empowered to mistreat customers without accountability. If anyone has had a similar experience, please message me. I hope Home Depot takes immediate action to address these serious issues.
I like Home Depot in general and usually try to get deliveries whenever I can. Tried curbside pickup today as I had some heavy / large items. I followed instructions on app to let them know I was on the way and when I was there. After arriving, took over 20 min to get my order. Not convenient or a time saver at all.
I go to Home Depot all the time, for I have an addiction to doing things myself and getting my hands dirty. I have to say that this Home Depot has the absolute best customer service and organization of any Home Depot I’ve ever been to. Whoever manages this place knows what they’re doing. Awesome.
Truck driver here, the store is gated. The store shipping and receiving gate on Roscoe is locked, you have to call a number for someone to come out, once you are there your 53” trailer is going to be blocking almost half of the Main Street while you wait for someone to open the locked gate. Extremely dangerous and irresponsible to put a truck driver thru that. Employees saw me honking and nobody had the audacity to even acknowledge my person. The worse part? The gate opens from the inside out, so you have to back into the Main Street while cars are going 55MPH, this is extremely upsetting and I will be sending a letter to corporate.
I have always been a big fan of Home Depot, as it is a great store with a wide range of products and good prices. However, I must say that the customer service at this particular location is extremely disappointing. The staff seems disinterested and unhelpful, which is a stark contrast to my previous experiences at other Home Depot stores. Furthermore, the lines at this location are ridiculously long. I've seen shorter lines at Disneyland, which is saying something. If you're in a hurry, this definitely isn't the spot to buy something quickly. Not only are the lines frustratingly long, but they also pose a safety hazard. With the tools they sell here, it's quite dangerous to have people bumping into each other constantly in the lines they have. Overall, while I still appreciate Home Depot as a store, the lack of customer service and the long lines at this particular location has left a sour taste in my mouth. I would advise avoiding this store if you're in need of prompt service or a hassle-free shopping experience.

Drove 65 miles bc they had something in stock online. I even called and gave the upc number and they confirmed. I went into the store and bc it s seasonal and not on the floor yet the manager wouldn t give it to me. Laziness and ridiculous, esp when the website states they have it.
At the cash register, they asked us if we had a store card, we said no, we started to issue it, as a result, the guy at the cash register decided to issue us a CREDIT card. When we asked questions, why this or that information, he was silent without an answer and pressed Next instead of us. When the message about the credit card came in the mail, I asked in a rude voice What the hell credit card when you talked about the discount as a result, we quickly clicked cancel everything, and the cashier just stood there in silence, not answering many questions!! ! I have 12 screws in my foot and handicap and for a return they made me look for item for a sku!! Employees in this store are lazy and rude! Don t want to help. Want you to do their job. Don t come here. Waste of time! Couldn t find it and told me to go To store where I bought it. I used my Home Depot card for purchase! First time this has happened. Horrible store! Disgusted because I can t walk! And they didn t care
3 weeks ago, I picked up an online-ordered Vornado fan. The weather then was scorching & my personal comfort level was dismally low. Seeing the long queue taking shape inside kinda added to my developing angst. When I was attended to, some location issues occurred. Finding my purchased item took some time & my patience started to ebb fast, but the young guy who handled the little sticky situation was calm, cool, & collected. I was thrilled with the product & the guys impressive demeanor that day. Win-win situation! Some minor improvements that Home Depot needs to look into in the pick-up department, though.

Updated review Sept 2024: This Home Depot went from bad to worse. Theres more people in the parking lot trying to get you to hire them than there are customers. People outside the doors selling trinkets. The self checkout is just checkout creating a long line due to the high inefficiency of the set up. 2022 Average review from multiple visits: Would definitely go here for anything garden related, highly helpful and knowledgeable associates with good customer service. The rest of the store doesnt have an ounce of that. Majority of staff frequently standing in clusters socializing with each other and defer you to someone else not present when you ask for help. They say theyll get someone; who never comes, and the person that said theyd get help doesnt either.

Never going back. A. Website sucks. B. IF you can find a clerk on the floor they know nothing. C. Self checkout is a blatant ploy to bust a union and cut benefits. Most have a very hard time even trying to speak English, and even in Spanish, they have trash accents and you can tell theyre uneducated and illiterate (i speak fluent columbian Spanish, as well as Puerto Rican and castilian, and taught it for a decade at the university level) i can even make do in quechua if necessary. But your clerks are just beyond hope
Overall bad experience with this store. Placed an online order for a rug, the first time I had it shipped to my house, ups said it was damaged so I shipped to this store instead. After weeks with no update I called and they told me a million different things, your order will be ready the 13th your order never got to the store we re gonna have to reorder . After explaining the whole situation to the manager David, he told me he would compensate me. Got to the store to finally pick up my order after a month of trying to receive my item just for them to tell me they can t compensate me, that I need to talk to David, this and that. 0/10 would never shop this store again.
Nearly all the check out have a sign that states self Checkout when you approach you get yelled at to get in line that happens to be 45 feet away and these are not self check outs. Idiocy at its finest. Just another good reason never to shop at the home depot.

Employees this includes the manager who is a younger Hispanic woman couldn t wait to get off work shutting down the customer service portion of the business therefore no returns could be made 10 mins prior to closing and when I asked if they can help me with an exchange they tell me that we are already closed next time get here earlier I looked at my watch and said I m here during business hours why can t you help me with my return only to be pushed away with very rude attitude. Not a place I recommend doing any shopping if you are looking for friendly knowledgeable staff

Bad services, on hollydays the home depot at Panorama city, North Hollywood and Van Nuys do not provide service for cutting lumber or wood, at all the places the same answer that the saw was broken and to come back the following bussiness day.

Some of the sales persons are way too snobbish to deal with humble clients, but hey also have corteous sales people, just ask for somebody else if the sale person makes you feel uncomfortable

Very attentive to customers
They had two rent-a-cops and a German shepherd at the front door staring people down as they entered, and when I went to do self checkout, the cashier GRABBED the item from my hand and stared at me while I paid, even when I was trying to enter my debit PIN. Im not going to shop at a store that clearly assumes all its customers are criminals, and I suggest you dont either.
The store is not as crowded as other Home Depot locations, and the staff is attentive to customers due to the lower customer volume.
For Reference I am 48 and I got some dirt for my plants becuase I love plants and me and my son who is 11 were outside waiting for service that was supposed to help me load the dirt into our car and after waiting 10 minutes no one came unbelievable.
Extremely full parking lot, way too many day laborers harassing you and getting high in the parking lot. Only one line including self-service And cashier. I understand why I shop primarily on Amazon. Im glad this store is closing in a year
Gross store, dirty and very unfriendly
I do most of my shopping at The Home Depot for most my home improvement needs because its close to where I live and there isnt any other store around that offers the same products. They usually have most of the products in stock on the shelves, and if needed you usually can find a sales associate somewhere close by. The prices are competitive to the other large home improvement stores, and the hours of operation are good (6am-10pm). The only real consistent issues that I find to be true are the long lines waiting to check out at the registers. Even with the self-checkout process going , there will still be a few registers not open that could be utilized for customer processing to lessen the waiting time in line. Maybe if they put one of the many female floor associates behind a register instead of standing up there directing customers into what line to go to maybe we could see an improvement on the wait time. For my overall experience at this time of review it receives a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. (****)

I bought a 4x6 piece of wood, they couldnt cut the wood for me, I had to pay someone outside to cut it.
Dont come to this home depot because the customer service is horrible starting with the lady coach I think shes the manager she comes with a terrible temper I dont know why she is here .. she better stay at home to take care of her family .the employees are followed by the bad temper, everyone in general has the worst customer service... so be very careful with the workers because they are all angry all the time and they answer you badly and dont help at all...

Very disappointing, staff is terrible at customer service. I was sent on a rat race to find a manager to discuss their open bag policy because they were low on stock, and I opted to purchase the only ripped bags available because the staff was unable to retrieve new stock in a timely manner over 35min wait. Manager was too busy, meanwhile plenty of staff standing around instead of helping the manager. Highly disappointed in their service or lack there of. Please take care of your employees so they can take care of the customers. This place is the worst.

I think I go here once a week. Ive been here so much, I know my way around but the staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful.
Customer service kinda sucks. Waited a least 10 min for someone to unlock an item I needed, asked 4 people, no one came, another 10min and someone else from another dept. came to unlock the cabinet. Only reason I gave 2 star is because of him. Cashier could not figure out how to price 2 strips on wood and said they were sold as a kit, i advsed that a kit would be more helpful but ENTIRE shelf was the same product (so there all wrong?). Ultimately I will never go back this HD and I left all items and puchased nothing.

I had a horrible experience in the plumbing department. If you want to be yelled at and avoided by the employees so they wont help you, then this is the place to go. Mike, in the plumbing department, was rude, aggressive, and unwilling to do his job. As I was about to ask him for help, he abruptly yelled, Cant you see Im helping someone? And preceded to ignore me.

Never order anything from this home depot. They are incompetent. I placed a window order, they told me it was delivered, I went to the address it was supposed to be delivered to and it was not there. When I called they said oh, the driver took it to a completely different address that had nothing to do with me. After 2 whole weeks of calling and going to the home depot, they finally picked up my windows and brought it to the right address. I went to check to make sure they had the correct order, I was not surprised to see that they were missing one of the windows I ordered. Keep in mind this was a custom order and I had been waiting for theses windows for over a month. Now they are giving me the runaround about having that window ordered. By the time they order it again and it gets delivered, they will have delayed my construction by 2 months. This is unexpectable. Save yourself the trouble and dont order from home depot, or at least go to a different location.

Friendly and very helpful
The customer service at this store is terrible. My husband was looking for something and asked the manager for help. The manager then said (and I quote), Look for it yourself . Absolutely unbelievable. After fending for ourselves, he asked the same manager again who then got upset that he couldn t find it. My husband then asked someone else who helped him find it in just a minute with no issue. The fact that there are multiple reviews regarding the negative customer service, shows how much Home Depot doesn t care.

I wish I can give this Home Depot zero stars People here are so lazy and on the phones FaceTiming. Manager needs to step up who ever that lazy person is. I ve waited an hour for tools that person never came. I asked 5 people for help, and all they said this is not my area I ll call someone. I spent 2 hours shopping and ended up leaving everything in the cart, left with zero tools. This Home Depot is a joke! Never coming back and if you need help don t bother coming here.
