Really good place, brought my car here to get the brakes done and it was done like 4 hours later and it was exactly the price was what they quoted me. Really happy with t the service
I used to get my oil changes at this break masters for a long time and when it came time to replace my breaks I didn't hesitate to go to them. After I picked up my car I noticed that the breaks were making a scratching noice so I took it back the next day. They took a look at it and said they fixed the issue. That same day I was on the freeway and my breaks were non responsive, I had to press so hard on the brake pedal to make it slow down, the brake pedal went all the way down to the floor to actually stop. After I was done freaking out I called them and they told me to take the car back to them. When I took it back they proceeded to tell me that my car now had a different issue and they quoted me at around $700 to fix it. At that point I left and took it to a local mechanic who charged me $45 to fix the breaks and told me that my new breaks were very cheap. I will never go back to break masters.
This guy is awesome. I needed a wheel stud replaced on my Toyota Tundra. I waited patiently for it to be replaced and it took a little longer than he had expected and he completely made it right, and comped the wheel stud! This was right before the holidays and my family was with me. I can't say how cool this was for our family since money was pretty tight this last year. The job was done correctly and now we're safe on the road again. Thank you for a job well done and for doing the unexpected. We will be back.
I went to Brake Masters for front brake pads and new rotors. Its not unexpected when you're car has over 100,000 miles. I called on a Friday for a Saturday morning drop off and my car was finished in a few hours. Blake at the front desk was friendly and informative. I am happy with the service done on my car.
The guys fixed a busted lug nut that a tire vendor damaged. They were fast and courteous and even installed some new bump stops I had been meaning to install for minimum charge.
These guys are amazing. We had an issue with our truck. I called they told me they could fit us in. We dropped the truck off at noon and had it back at 4pm. I could be more happy with their service. They were upfront, clear, honest and fast. I will be back. Thank you Thank you.
Amazing service. They are hands down the most honest shop I have visited. I went for an alignment with a referral, but the boss there actually told me that I shouldn't even waste my money doing an alignment due to the control arms being rickety. He even showed me which parts were bad and why (cracks, leaks, etc) and told me it honestly wouldn't be worth my time and effort to repair my vehicle since it was a 2001 sienna (estimate for total job was 4k due to control arms, rotors, brakes, and valve replacement due to leaking) but he told me outright that it was just an estimate from what he saw, and that there could be more on top of those repairs. He even gave an estimate as to how long I could drive the vehicle as is just to make sure I was ready if the car broke that interest he future. It wasn't pleasant information, but it was much needed since his warnings will help me prepare for the future. He didn't charge me a dime for the time he spent hoisting the big car up and refused to take my money- you don't see honest shops like these nowadays.
I dont know nothing about breaks and how they work but the manager here Francisco was really nice and understanding. He explained everythinf in detail ,gave me a good price to fix my rotor and breaks. Highly recommend this place

I am a long time customer who values an honest shop. Over the decade of service Brakemasters has worked on almost every system from complete suspension swap. Smog issues, alternator, radiator replacement, to engine valve job and synthetic oil changes, and of course brakes. I always have anxiety over prices and again and again i always leave with a money well spent mindset. Im thankful for their transparency and will continue to service my ride there. The mechanics Francisco, Keith and their team of superstars have proven they know and understand cars and people and my vehicle is swiftly completed. Oh by the way i also bring my college son s lil Corolla there and BM even fixed it outta state under warranty. Ultimately i trust them with my family vehicle which is why I m grateful for this shop. .

Went there for and oil change & filter for my Buick Park Avenue, they forgot to put new oil in after draining the oil and told me your car is ready. I drove off and the Oil Warning lights came on. I called them and the sent a guy to me with new oil. I Never Will Go Back!

I would give this place a negative if I could! First of all Keith women dont appreciate being called sweetheart or any other terms of endearment by men they dont know. Show some respect. My experiences with this business have never been good. They did a rack and pinion and tie rod replacement on my personal vehicle along with a brake job. Brakes still squealing all the time after 2 months. I had a issue with my company vehicle started making a grinding noise with Trac control and ABS lights came on the dashboard. I was close to a Brake Masters in Camarillo. They said it needed steering sensor relearn which they couldnt do at that shop so I had to drop it off in Van Nuys. The manager in Camarillo spoke with Keith, told him what they found. Keith told my boss it was engine mounts, charged him over $900 after that, then said that wasnt the problem and would have to leave it so they can figure it out. I took my vehicle to Meineke cause my front end was making a clunking noise. Meineke replaced bushings, control arm and had to replace the tie rod that break master just did cause it wasnt done right. Now you would think that they would of done a thorough check of my suspension when they diagnosed the rack and pinion. I nor my company will ever be back.

We just visited this location for some brake work and we were both pleased with the service we received. These guys have been mostly professional throughout the years, but the guy at the front this time was a step above. His name is Francisco, and he might be the manager. He answered all my questions thoroughly and was upfront about what needed to be done ASAP and what could wait (at my own risk, of course) and I always appreciate that, over the guy who tells me the cars going to fall apart as soon as I leave if I dont get everything done that day. got this location from Costco Auto repairs suggestion (15% discount), and am VERY PLEASED! I have a 2004 Lexus RX 330, 106,000 miles. they aligned my 4 wheels,used sophisticated equipment, printed a report that showed before and after alignment results, and saved me a bunch of money. i was so pleased that I returned, two days later, and had my power steering pump replaced. Keith, the supervisor, had mentioned that I might need to replace the power steering fluid line. After he inspected my car, he said that the line was in good shape. No need to replace ! TAKE YOUR CAR TO BRAKE MASTER, VAN NUYS THERE ARE STILL HONEST PEOPLE IN AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR BUSINESS.

Total waste of time. Confirmed brake pad install and appointment over the phone. Arrive for service they say theyre not sure what pads are needed (despite providing VIN) and would need to take apart my brakes to determine. $300 difference between options. Bait and switch terrible. Wasted a total of 1hr driving back and forth. Go anywhere else.
If you want a genuine, no BS, very honest mechanic, please look no further. I am so impressed by Keith and his business. Its very organized and Keith really gave me an honest and accurate run through of my car. I had a laundry list of items from the dealer and Keith let me know which ones were worth it in the long run and which ones were important now. This included multiple things that other mechanics had missed. Hes been in the business for a long time and is a Master Mechanic (truly) and had amazing integrity when going through what I needed-even if it meant that he lost out on a lot of money. This is definitely my mechanic partner for any future repairs or service for my Subaru. Im so blessed to have found him (thanks for the reference Costco). Please avoid the crooks in LA and go here!

Called to get a price on getting my motor mounts replaced on my escalade, got a price which was very reasonable and brought in the same day, had truck for a couple of days cause I asked for a couple more things to do which they didnt have a problem with, the staff was courteous and very friendly. I feel the workmanship at this Brake Masters is complete. I thought I needed more work on my car. They said it was not necessary, the work they did took care of my concerns. I drove 2500 miles and still no issues.
Only giving 4 stars because its only a few months have passed after my visit. Brakes are fine and the service given was good. I would recommend this business.
Came in for an alignment on a Friday around noon. They were able to get me in immediately and within 45 minutes, they were done! Nice guys. The alignment fixed my steering, it was way off. I would definitely recommend these guys for any alignment services you may need.

They use Defective VERY LOW GRADE PADS which wear out quickly. You will have to repeat the brake job within A week which ruins the rotor disks ...... STAY AWAY FROM THEM......

I asked to get my radiator unclogged and they just had me down for radiator fluid change. Which i had previously done my self. Jet out of there like a bat out of hell.
Referred there by Americas Tires. They performed an alignment with my existing worn out tires. I then purchased new tires from Americas Tires. My wife said, why didnt I get the alignment with the new tires on? That bugged me for a whole week until I finally called Brake Masters and they said, bring the car in. I explain to them my idiotic dilemma and they did not hesitate to help me. Superior customer service! Side note: I will bring my other car in to Brake Masters for an Alignment Service soon. Thanks gentlemen.

I went in to have front break pads replace on my Lexus suv. Break Masters decides to open the hood of my suv and remove all four of my tires. I received an ESTIMATE OF $398.98 for front break pads and replacement of two rotors. I also received an estimate of $408.98 for rear break pads and two rotors. I just had my rear break pads and one rotor replace 4 mos prior. My boyfriend texted me that was to much, so I informed break masters that the ammout was to high and I only asked for a replacement for front break pads. The price was then dropped to $368.98 I stated that was still high and that Ive paid around $260 before. Then he gives me his personal employee discount and the price was now $308.98. Still high I decided to get another estimate. The place I went to before was over 30 miles away and I didnt want to drive that far. I ended up FINDING ANOTHER PLACE, that replaced my FRONT PADS FOR $160 pads & labor no rotors needed. Im now a customer for life because of the honesty..
Went here last week to get brake pads changed on both axles on my 07 Honda Civic EX. Manager told me I needed four new rotors which probably wasnt totally inaccurate since my car has 85k miles on it. Decided to just do the front axle. Rotors were $100 each (really high price). Cost me $400+ out the door for one axle. My fiances BMW 328i cost far less due do the same service at another place with the brand OE parts. I would never go back here for anything but maybe an oil change and even that would be a stretch as the manager is pretty unfriendly and seemingly upset constantly.
