Cant possibly recommend Outwest Auto more highly. THEY ARE OUTSTANDING! Were the type who are absolutely content to drive our vehicles until the wheels fall off; two of our three vehicles are 20 years old or older. Prior to finding Outwest Auto, wed take our Jeep to the dealership. We could NEVER get out of there for less than $2k... and Im still sickened by the number of times the Jeep dealership would recommend a repair to fix some issue, but the repair didnt fix it, so multiple trips were made (and THOUSANDS of dollars spent) before things were resolved. It happened time and again. Ugh. 100% the opposite at Outwest -- seriously. Our old Jeep runs better now, than ever, and theres not been a single repair I questioned as being frivolous or unnecessary (unlike EVERY trip to the Jeep dealership). When I take ANY of our vehicles in, and do my sorry job of trying to explain whats happening, it gets hooked up and diagnosed. Once they get in under the hood, if there was any question, theyll call to confirm their suspicion about what the problem is. Its to the point, now, when Donny tells me something needs to be done, I DO IT. Ive never been pushed into getting some repair I didnt want, and every repair has been guaranteed. Their communication is exceptional, with texts and updates, every step of the way. We are SO lucky to have a shop of this calibre in Valley Springs, and I couldnt be more grateful for the exceptional service over the years.

I recently went camping nearby this location with my travel trailer. My wife and I took a day trip and got a bolt with a washer in my tire. Sadly I dont remember the 3 gentleman that helped me out, but they told me that if the technician couldnt patch it they could order me the same tire next day. They not only were able to patch it and offer alternatives, but reminded me my truck needed an oil change and I decided to get it done as well as the tire pach. Highly recommend place to get your car serviced.

I had to drop my truck off due to an accident and they handled the vehicle inspection much faster than I thought any auto shop could. They were pleasant to deal with and very responsive. Google definitely needs to correct where you have to give a business at least positive start!! We have tried to use the shop several times, and every single time they have some sort of excuse to why they cannot service the vehicle. They just waste your time. They are so incredibly rude and they will give you the completely wrong information about your car. This is one of the laziest shots I ve ever been to. I just tried to take my truck there and they were cleaning. My truck doesn t have a Vin number whenever everybody in their right Mind knows You can simply look through the windshield to find it, but I had to actually show the GUY where it was And got nothing bad attitude in return.

Outwest auto is whats up. They have extensive knowledge in cars and actually do the work.....repairs done right and unlike others out there these guys are NOT in the business of ripping people off. Will definitely be sending everyone I know out and around valley springs to them for all their auto servicing needs.

I am new to the Valley Springs area and I was having various unknown issues with my car. Over the phone, I spoke with Patrick to schedule my appointment. He was so kind and very helpful with explaining what to expect during my visit. When I went in, I got a AC check and diagnostic at a very fair price. I did not feel pressured to get any unnecessary repairs, and they did a great job at educating me on what was wrong with the car. They also make sure to send you a link of a detailed diagnostic on your car so you can decide on what you feel is essential to fix immediately and what could wait.

On Wednesday evening April 12, my sister and I were at the Highway House restaurant ( we were staying overnight at Jackson Rancheria). When we were done with our dinner at around 7 PM we tried to get my SUV to go in drive, but it wouldnt go into gear. I called AAA and Jeremy from Out west Auto came to our aid. Unfortunately my vehicle could not be fixed or towed home to Tracy ( too late). So we had to wait until morning. BUT the big problem was that in Jackson, there are no cabs, Uber or Lyft drivers and the car rental places were all closed. Jeremy was such a nice and caring young man and tried calling places for us. We are two ladies in our 60s and wee stuck. We finally called the police department and officer Tollett brought us back to the hotel ( it was not safe for us two to stay in a parking lot overnight). Jeremy would not leave us until we got a ride. It meant a lot to me and my sister. The next day , we finally got a rental and another driver towed my SUV back to Tracy ( need a new transmission ). We praise The Lord that we got home safely and praise Him again for sending Jeremy to us. I highly recommend this company for their caring attitude.

Quick and fixed

Worst shop ever almost crash My truck in front of me. They didn t know how to drive manual. Told me they could could patch my tire. Then proceeded to tell me that they couldn t and tried to sell me tires. I lied to me about what they did. Would never recommend this shop to anybody. They will try to screw you.

I went in looking for a specific look for wheels and tires on my 1973 Plymouth Cuda. Gilbert and I discussed options and sizes to make sure they fit with no rubbing. Gilbert is absolutely awesome and super knowledgeable!!! I highly recommend OutWest and Gilbert! Thank you, Curtis

One told me they are the best around I was kept updated on the status of the part needed to fix my AC and the shop began the work as stated. Pricing is reasonable.

I was so happy to see Outwest auto was still in business in Valley Springs. I used to have them do work on whatever needed to be fixed. Went to get a smog and they were fast and professional. Very pleased with the services except after the battery was placed they might of forgotten to put everything back that was taken off to remove/replace the battery which caused a little damage to my car , it s not a big deal but just inconvenience of having to replaced. But overall it was a good experiences. I guess just be cautious to making sure to ensure all parts are but back together after servicing a vehicle. It was a very hot day so I wouldn t blame them for forgetting.

Amazing first impression! I just moved here and just got back from Burning Man. My belt left this world in Valley Springs near home. I knew the problem, thr moment j saw wobble on the crankshaft pulley. Tjr Harmonic Balancer was done, but did not know where to go for someone who knows diesel pickups. I had to be towed by AAA and this was the closest to my new home. Not only did Outwest know diesels, but they had parts available and fixed it all the same day! They even offered to do some other maintenance i had deferred, like seal replacements. I gladly paid fair and reasonable rates for all parts and labor. The whole shop is first class from soup to nuts. They even invoiced me via email and I was able to pay via card while I was far from home. I think I found my truck shop! They even washed all the BurningMan Man mud off of my truck!

Just got an oil change and was talked to like I was a child! They had left a message saying my car was done. Ok you close at 5 and I m getting off work. She screams Geeze I left a message for you two hours ago!!! Uncalled for!!! Moving her head back and forth like I m being scolded! Will never be back. Hey guess what that extremely high price of tires I could have actually afforded!!!! But you re not getting my business!

Outwest Auto was fabulous! I just moved into the area. They sent me a coupon for a FREE oil change including new oil filter AND a safety check-up on my vehicle. I called for an appointment. GOT ONE THE NEXT DAY! And the technician did his job on time and I was given a free report. They were done in less than an hour having done a thorough job! I d recommend them highly!

They provided a shuttle service and cleaned my vehicle while it was in their shop, couldn t define above and beyond any other way! Kind and personable staff really make the experience even better, plus who doesn t love supporting a small business? My family has lived here since February and have encountered a LOT of car issues since from oil changes, to new tires, shocks, suspension, brake pads to now order a new battery and more! They ve been doing an amazing job and we always leave happy.

However, I have moved too far away to do that now and was looking for a shop nearer to me. I needed some significant repairs and new tires. I can recommend Outwest Auto. They kept me informed of the needed repairs, the estimated costs and the anticipated completion of the repairs. They answered any questions I had. They even offered me rides to and from shop as I had to leave my vehicle for several days. On top of all that they were very professional and friendly.

I would not recommend this place due to the owner of the shop. They had issues with getting my car started so I had it sent to a different shop after paying 10,640 for a new engine and transmission.The owner tried to tell the mechanics to stop wasting additional time on my car when it ended up being an ECM that they put in backwards that was causing my car not to start. The owner went out of his way to contact two shops and told a shop in Jackson and the owner of GM Motors in Roseville not to bother with my car that it would not be worth the time or energy. Claiming my car has electrical issues which I explained the vehicle did not have electrical issues prior to the engine going out. The hole time it was just the ecm they put in backwards and the owner wanted to start charging me per hour to look at the electric which I declined to do. Not only did I pay a substantial amount of money towards this shop but for him to go and try to persuade two other shops not to help was unprofessional and wrong. I had to pay 1200 additional dollars to get my car running and properly fixed to have the ecm put in correctly and the wires they added taken off and my vehicle put back together. But the fact that an owner can take ten grand and try to go out of his way to tell shops to not even work on my car shows what type of ethical approach this owner lacks. The owner of this shop does not deserve to have any positive reviews! I also was left without the proper amount of transmission fluid in my car and the shifting cable was not adjusted correctly after the transmission was installed and it wasnt reading park because of that and I had to adjust that myself so my car would read the proper gears. But out of everything my BIGGEST issue was the fact that this guy didnt want to deal with my car so I removed my car and he went out of his way to try to prevent my car being fixed at all.. I filed a complaint through Bureau of Automotive Repair and I hope a proper investigation is done with this owner. Clearly he does not have the customers best interest.

This place is awesome and our time and need. They are totally helpful and they didnt even make a penny from us because we used another service. But they were totally willing to get us where we needed and get our problems all with the skills that they have there. They can probably help anybody

The only issue I experienced was the very long wait. Seems like the person that was working on my tires pulled off the job to go and help a coworker on another repair and didnt focus on the task at hand. Finally one of the guys in the office had to go and help him and tell him to get back on the job. I was there for 1 1/2 hours after my appointment.

Wonderful service. I had a tire that had a slow leak, I dropped in and I was taken care of right away. They did some testing first and decided to take the tire off to repair it. they were very efficient and always have great customer service. I will go back again.

Fast service and kind people

I got a set of 4 tires and a free oil change for a reasonable price. The tires were a little more expensive than they were in Stockton but I didnt have to drive all that way round trip and wait around Walmart or find something to do. I simply dropped off my car and went home and relaxed and picked up my car when it was done easy peasy. Well worth the cost and I like doing business with local people. Ill be going back in the future.

Here is another bad review after I was paid the $250 I did get. If I was told that was all I get I would have had my car towed back home and I would have gotten more money but I was not told that plus I was never called back on a price I would have agreed to like Cash for Cars does and that is who Gilbert said you were contacting. You already lost 2 other people as customers that I know of now and nothing you can do about it you crooks and you cant call me you already been blocked

Took vehicle in for oil change special with coupon for a fair price, by the time it was done the cost was approximately 40% more for the addition of 1 quart of oil and a special oil filter for an f150. After the oil change the oil pressure light began to come on at idle, although i cant say for certain this was due to the wrong grade of oil or perhaps a bad pressure valve in their oil filter I can say it had never happened before, and it is intermittent. Now time to do it again so i decided to do it myself and use oem parts and oil to rule out non oem parts with my oil pressure light issue. The oil filter was so tight I had to virtually destroy it to get it off all while using the proper tools. The oil drain plug required a half inch drive breaker bar and a 6 point 15mm to remove but only after using a torch to heat the aluminum oil pan. I simply have no idea why it did not strip the oil pan or crack it. With that said id estimate it took approximately 80 foot pounds to remove after heating it up. Dont get me wrong, these guys are nice enough but I have my doubts about the guys doing the work. For the record that drain plug should be maybe 25 foot pounds tops. And an oil filter should be no more than hand tight. A thin film of oil is required to be put on the gasket before installing the oil filter to prevent what I had to deal with. I understand that choices are limited up here and they are very nice but I am just sharing my experience.

They did a good job

First time I had them service my 2012 Honda Civic. Service went well as far as I know. They did not tell me anything about it plus they didn t contact me when they were done. I called them to check on it an hour after it was promised to be done and that s how I found out it was done. Lack of communication doesn t give them 5 stars this time although I appreciate the work. In addition, I had brought my car home, for a week, parked on my driveway. When I went to drive it, there was a large puddle of transmission fluid on the driveway! I immediately took it back to them and they said the problem was that the seal was crooked and they replaced it, plus the fluid, free of charge. Again, they did not contact me when the vehicle was done and ready for pickup. I don t think I will return for anymore service.

Was traveling with our small pop up trailer. We had a blow out on the trailer and the spare was not in good shape. Needed a fast repair on the tire. They took us right In and replaced the tire really fast and at a good price. We even had them replace the other tire as it wasn t look good. That was even faster than the first tire. They staff was professional and friendly. Would recommend them to anyone around Valley Springs with hesitation. Thanks to everyone at Outwest Auto.
