Worst experience ever. I only asked for two screws on the license plate. They charged $20 without agreement and threatened me. Even so, the screws are not the same
I had a stolen catalytic converter that needed to be replaced. Santana was fantastic. He found a catalytic converter and had it ordered and ready to be put on within one week. Because of the high thievery the catalytic converters are very difficult to find. He did an outstanding job and replaced it within a couple of hours upon getting the part. He also on his own took pictures which were necessary when the insurance company called. I cannot speak highly enough of this service!!!!
I’ve taken my cars and trucks to Al’s 76 for years. Always been honest in the work they recommend, and they do great work at a fair price. I like that they steer me toward factory parts and fluids when appropriate but recommend other options when factory parts are cost prohibitive. Saved me a lot of $$$ on my V8 Lexus 👍 and got my 25 year old Miata back on the road.
I've used Al's for different vehicles and have referred people to Al's for over 10 years. Best place to get service. Up front about cost and it all seems fair. Much better vibe than any other places I've been too. SpeeDee wouldn't even give me the time of day for a valve cover gasket quote after an oil change. (I went there out of convenience) One call to Al's and the deal was done! Love these guys. <3
Santana runs the repair shop and I was super impressed. First, or car was towed there dire to a flat tire. He stayed past 9pm to find a quality tire that was reasonably priced. We went neck to have our brakes done. Dropped the car off around noon and he had it done by 3. Reasonable price and he's very nice.
AL, please read, I am willing to change my review if you respond promptly. Ripping people off was once an option, but with the world of reviews, people will hear about it and your business practices will become known. I failed my smog check and got charged $61 because my car's computer memory was wiped out, because I changed my car battery yesterday. I asked the technician why he didn't ask the simple question if I had any battery power interruptions. His reply was that there are many reasons I could have failed the test in which he thinks I would have told him he would have asked me questions in advance. If there are so many stupidly-simple reasons to fail a test, why not write them on a list and hand it to your customer when he first asks for the test, and let him read for himself ? The technician just wanted the money, and showed zero sign of caring... He offered $10 off a re-test. There are many places that will offer a free retest. Don't go to AL.
Visited for a smog check and a fill-up. I had to wait 15 minute to get helped but in an appointment-free place that seemed rather quick. They filled the gas for me and also filled one tire with air, so I appreciated the attention to detail even for somebody who wasn't spending a lot of money at the place. I recommend it for quick, simple auto necessities.
This shop is a gem. There is real pride and integrity in the guys who've worked on my cars over several years. No bullshit, fair rates, and as a woman, it means something to me that they've been so pleasant and respectful. They even do body work. This shop is pretty much all you could ask for.
