My experience has been great. Roberto lets me know what is wrong with the vehicle, what's the scope of the work, and keeps me updated. He doesn't get frustrated if he has to wait for a part & it takes a bit longer to fix my car. Been going there for about five years.

LOVE this place! It is super convenient, easy to schedule an appointment and the work performed was outstanding. I met the owner and my sales advisor. Both very caring and personable individuals. An absolutely stellar and top-notch shop. First of all, the place is super organized and worthy of some of the finest motor vehicles on the road, impeccable facility. The staff, the owner (Roberto), the professionalism is completely on point. I have taken my car several times and recommended the shop to several of my friends and we are all in. One of my friends has two vehicles that had not only basic maintenance done to them, but custom suspension work as well. These guys do it all, and they do it very well.
Roberto and his employees are always courteous and attentive. My husband and I have been taking our cars to him for many years. Roberto and his crew always provide great service. Roberto is honest and trustworthy. Roberto answers all my questions and explains the work that is being done to our cars. I am confident that when I take my car to him he will give me advice on what needs to be done, what repairs are coming in the near future, and what repairs are not necessary at the time. My 73 Super Beetle (were the original owners) was serviced by a German Auto shop in SF until they closed and then by Freds Garage in Redwood City (about 30 years) until they closed. A Redwood City auto shop we tried clearly demonstrated they did not have the experience necessary when we needed brake service. It took some time to find Roberto at Performance Imports thru other VW owners. He has the experience and background with older VWs and beetles we needed. In addition to the replacement of the drums and repairing the handbrake, it turned out, we also needed work on a classic problem called the Super Beetle Shimmy. He found the steering assembly was loose and corrected that along with making the necessary balancing and alignment as well as checking that the Control Bar bushings were ok. So the Super Beetle was resurrected and running again. Roberto is a good listener, willing to discuss issues, listen to customer suggestions, and make informed recommendations. He explains things well and builds your confidence in the service you will receive.

My car was serviced by Performance Imports after driving across the country. An oil change was done along with engine diagnostics. I keep my car well maintained. The price was reasonable and the customer service was positive and transparent. I will definitely return to Performance Imports in the future now that I live in the Bay Area.

Roberto and his crew at performance imports did a fantastic job working on my vehicle. I have an 84 Volkswagen Vanagon that needed a wide range of work completed. Its an older vehicle and it s hard to find someone who is willing to put in the time and effort to make sure it s running properly. Really happy I found this shop! I was updated almost daily on the work being completed. I highly recommend this place for all your auto needs! I will be going back for all my future repairs!

I called in asking if they would be able to fix the IDrive controller and to replace my 3yr old battery on my 2010 BMW 650. Joey was very knowledgeable and helped me make an appointment. They kept me updated with their findings and charges text messages which I thought was awesome. They ended up fixing my IDrive controller and just told me that I needed to charge my battery, which they took care of. Unfortunately I had to bring the car back because of an issue w the trunk release, but they were very accommodating, professional and they took care of the issue w the trunk after figuring out what was wrong, which took a couple of days. All in all, these guys helped me out and I really appreciated it. Thanks Joey and team for the great service.

Can I trust them?? ..well this place and Roberto can be trusted ..and the service is like non other ..welcoming, fast, and professional. Their prices are very reasonable. Of course you can trust Roberto since he offers excellent service and a good attitude at all times but above all very professional in his work and best of all their prices are very reasonable.

I bought my Mercedes S420 here and it was a complete basket case. The owner Roberto told me everything which was wrong with it. The work was was done and me drive of the shop as if I had a new car again. The details in which was taken to replace the things which I thought could never be fixed made me extremely happy. My car was even washed and vacuumed when it was returned. I will only bring my cars hete to be serviced. A+ work. Will recommend friends here as well.
We actually live out of the area, but found Roberto and Performance Imports several years ago when in the area visiting. Roberto is professional, punctual and ethical. He is honest about what does and doesn t need to be done so that you aren t spending unnecessarily. Last week we took him one car to have service done on it and he gave us a loner car and let us drive it all the way home. We returned this week to have a second vehicle worked on. He even delivered the vehicle to us when it was finished. We will definitely use Performance Imports in the future.
I will start by saying, I generally don t trust people. However, the entire staff here are amazing and thorough. The owner of this establishment is friendly, honest and fair. I trust them to do the job and not over do their assessment. I ve been to many places that try to rip me off because I m female. They never do that to me. Matter of fact I have heard Them straight up tell people that the repair costs more than the car is worth- giving the car owner a CHOICE. I ve recommended many friends and family to this business. Highly recommend.

Hands down one of the best shops in the Bay Area! Fair prices, outstanding service, friendly staff, modern (but with a classic garage feel), and best of all No Surprises. Planning the work felt like a collaborative effort, not like the usual hostage negotiation of other garages. I was fortunate to find the shop through a Google search, and they have earned my loyalty. I cant praise them enough.

We were so happy with Roberto at Performance Imports when our Audi was serviced that we decided to bring our 2006 Subaru Outback in to diagnose two oil leaks. Roberto found the 2 leaks and we got the Outback in and out in no time. Thanks again Roberto!
I brought my car in to Performance Imports recently as it needed new brakes bad. Turns out it s pretty hard to find parts for an 87 Tercel, but the lady behind the front desk was determined to find them for me! They also identified some other issues my old girl was having (the belts had never been worked on!!) and promptly notified me. All the work was done quickly and professionally and now my car runs and sounds brand new. I would highly recommend bringing your car here for any repairs. I know I won t be going anywhere else!

The first time I came to this place was just because it was within walking distance to my house and they could take my car that day. They did the repair quickly and at a reasonable price. The second time I went there was because of my experience the first time I went there. There is no need for me to go anyplace else.
