I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Ocean Honda’s service department. I brought my dad's car in at 10:29 AM for service and was told by the advisor that it would be ready by 3 PM or a little later. Trusting their word, I ran errands to pass the time and returned at 4 PM, only to be informed that not only was the car not ready, but no service had been done at all. If I hadn’t shown up to check on the car, no one would have contacted me to update me on the situation. This complete lack of communication is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I was told it would be ready the next day—a major inconvenience, as I live 30 minutes away. My dad, who works tirelessly, now has to miss work to handle this issue himself because Ocean Honda failed to follow through on their promises. This isn’t just about a delay; it’s about unprofessionalism, disrespect, and a failure to provide even the most basic level of customer service. A simple phone call or acknowledgment of the situation would have gone a long way, but instead, I was met with empty apologies and excuses. If Ocean Honda wants to maintain its reputation, serious changes need to be made. You cannot treat customers like their time doesn’t matter. This experience left me feeling completely disregarded, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously because if this is how you continue to operate, you will lose the trust and business of your customers.
Every time I have a problem scheduling service here. Today it took 20 min to schedule an appointment. My previous car was Toyota and it was taking not more than 2 min as the service representative was opening my account from my phone number automatically and he/she had all the information in front. Now I was asked first name, last name, information on the car, etc. and I lost so much time just to schedule a service appointment after the next 5000 miles.
My car was there for over a week and they told me I needed a 600 dollar part to fix it. They returned my car unfixed and after taking it back in and reviewing the paperwork they discovered that the part was never actually put in. Service department is incompetent- don’t waste your time or money.

Worst customer and repair service I've experienced in a long time. No follow through, follow-up or ownership in scheduling or service. They "fixed" a warranty issue on my car, only to make it worse. They admit to forgetting to add parts to the repair but won't take full responsibility for the issue. Avoid, avoid, avoid...wish I would have. It's too bad, they used to do good work and actually seem to care about their long-time customers. Not anymore!
They were so patient and kind. The problem wasn’t my transmission but my not knowing how to drive my new car on the steep. They also diagnosed the rattle my car makes on startup and what I need to do to drive safely until I can get it in to the shop back home, as I’m here from out of town. They did all this for free!
Slow and expensive Service dept. Had 11:30 am appointment for brakes. Tech recommedations came at 2:30 pm. Brake job completed and out of there at 4:30 pm. Even told them we were waiting, same as most of their customers. Why do they have us make appointments if they don't do anything for three hours? They have also raised service prices for everything...price gouging to make up since they have no new cars to sell. The positive, was that the service advisor was friendly.
Ocean Honda has a great Service department and everyone has been very professional and respectful during my visits. In the past, in addition to free freshly brewed coffee and tea, they offered free breakfast sandwiches for their customers. I have not been able to visit them, to take care of my car, due to the pandemic, but I will stop by, soon.
