Brake Masters in Simi Valley

This was my experience taking my car to this shop to change a screw that was broken because American Tire broke it and I was recommended by them to this shop and they paid for the repair because they only put the screw without the nut, a half-assed job and When you give a service you give it with quality and when you give a service and the vehicle is finished you have to call the owner and tell him this is what was done and see how it turned out before he took the car away that is professionalism and that is education but he lacks a lot of education and he lacks a lot of professionalism

Worst shop in Simi. DO NOT GO HERE. Trust this post.

Great customer service!

My rotors were a tiny bit rough, so brought them in to be turned. They turned them, but did a very poor job. One was .2 mm thicker on one side than the other. They refused to make it right, saying there was no warranty on their service.

This is my fourth time going to this place and it wont be my last! I had a major brake issues with my front axle. Josh, who is the face at this location gave me a fair assessment, a fair price, and honesty about the job. So, I went with it and Im very satisfied with the service and how well the brakes are holding up. Im very used to LAND ROVER Dealership prices but today I definitely, saved a few bucks! I would say give this spot a try you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Juan for being a professional. Mr. D.

Josh helped me and he seemed nice. Brought my car in for new front brake pads and to flush out brake fluid. During the service the techs noticed my left caliper was loose and it was due to a bolt with bad threads. They got a new bolt, installed it, and fixed the issues with the caliper. They also noticed my front control arms were bad and needed to be replaced. They took photos of the control arms and were able to show me when I picked up the vehicle. It was great service at a fair price. I will definitely come back when the car needs more work done in the future.

Josh is not believable Director and also Brakemasters has to be one of the best place to live overtaken by Bentley. I try Suga everybody use Brakemasters Simi Valley.

Fast and friendly service at a low price for great work.

I called day of for an alignment and they were able to get me in and out of there same day in 30 minutes. Friendly staff and I ll be back for any future work needed.

Brake Masters did a really good job on brakes all the way around changing out new rotors changing out the lower and upper ball joints on the front end and replacing a fuel pump. They had all of that done in the time that they told me they would and I am very pleased with the outcome of the repairs. I would definitely suggest to my family and friends to go to Brake Masters if they ever needed anything done. Josh and Aaron were very very knowledgeable and very helpful.

Went to get an alignment and oil change after getting new tires at Americas Tire. They were even quicker than promised and got a great price for a synthetic oil change. Time at the register took a bit longer than I would have liked because they were getting a new computer system, but that was not a service or personal issue so its not an issue. I appreciated the professionalism of the technicians and quick affordable care. Thank you!

This place was recommended to me by Americas Tire down the street. They did an alignment within 45 minutes of me bringing the car in and corrected things on my 2017 Chevy volt. $109 for the service. Very pleased!

Josh was a new person for me to deal with at this location. He was very personable and very clear in what my car needed, which is more important when paying as much as the car repairs required. Plus his estimate on the time and costs were spot on. Likewise Diego was a longer term associate there with me who even remembers me and my car after a long Covid layoff. Good people will have me back when my car needs come up again. I appreciate the military discount to us Vets too.

Brake Masters does a good job with most repair issues. Also good for oil changes and finding issues before they be one a problem prices are fair and up front. If they promise it will be doe by a certain time, they will make it happen.

With so many other problems in life to deal with, working on your car or finding a trustworthy and dependable mechanic is the last thing you want to deal with.. my daughters car needed to just be checked to see what a noise was. They could have easily said and charged me for whatever they wanted but didnt. Fixed it and didnt even charge me because they only had to tighten a bolt. Trustworthy 100%

In and out great service

After spending close to $900 for new rotors and brake pads, I found no difference in braking. On complaining, I was told the car, Toyota 2007 was old and I was asked to get second opinion. Wished they had told me before working on my car. Not happy with customer service.

Professional at a value price

There were some small issues with a new brake booster and master cylinder that the guys installed I brought it back and they really took care of me by replacing everything with upgraded quality parts and didn t charge me a dime! Josh and Keith really watch out and take very good care of the customer! I highly recommend if you have need of new brakes drums rotors etc. bring your business to these fellas they are very professional and knowledgeable and will take care of you in the best way possible!

Great experience

I did not have an appointment, but as luck would have it I was able to be seen within a 1/2 hour wait time! The service manager was friendly and knowledgeable. The mechanic performing the alignment got right on my truck and completed the work in a timely manner.

So glad I found this place. Keith is so knowledgeable and made sure I knew exactly what was wrong with my car. He also saved me from getting in an accident, had he not found my worn out wheel bearing! They do excellent work and I would definitly reccomend!

A few years back, we planned to travel to Canada with my old Acura MDX 2004; I dropped by BM to have him evaluate the car, if it was safe to drive it back and forth. My car had 350,000 miles on it but he was confident that it is still in top shape because of the maintenance they have provided for years. Worked with Keith this morning and was so incredibly impressed with his knowledge, honesty, and customer service. He gave great advice on my car and it s needs, without trying to push services but with the frankness of what needed to happen for the safety of the car. The prices have consistently been the lowest when I ve compared with other shops. You know what you re going to get and you feel like you re in trustworthy hands, which is such a relief when it comes to car maintenance. Thank you Keith and everyone at BM! Also should add they are so quick! Even when I ve had some big repairs, I ve always ended the day with my car back in my hands.

My husband had replaced the Master Cylinder however the brakes still did not work correctly. I took it to Brake Masters where they could have got me for more but only charged me a small amount to use their computer on the car which made the brakes work correctly. There are still honest people out there... Highly recommend this company

Couldn t get a wheel alignment. Was told I needed to replace suspension parts to get the wheel alignment done. Turns out I didn t need the parts I ordered and suspension was fine to get a wheel alignment. Wasted money and time & feel like I almost got scammed. Brake pad replacement was the only positive, but wasn t cheap.

I really like Brakemasters in Simi Valley I ve had big jobs and small jobs with my families multiple cars (4) and they have been more than helpful and fairly priced. They do small jobs like oil changes up to major service with no surprises like some other shops in simi I know.

Darwin did some serious homework to fix my ramfla which the parts were discontinued for. My beater is now a defeater thanks to Darwin and his team.

I have been going here for many years. I mostly go for oil changes because they are affordable, faster and easier clean up than doing it myself. I usually go in the early afternoon during the week and they get it done in less than 30 minutes. I get my breaks done here as well and they are very dependable. Highly recommend!!

I purchased four new tires today from a local tire shop (Americas Tires) and they referred me to Brake Masters for alignment (they even gave me a $30 off coupon). I had excellent service at the tire shop so trusted their referral for alignment. There was only a customer waiting in the main office when I entered, so I rang the bell for service like the sign said. The alarm sounded as I heard it from the main office. I could see technicians walking around the bay, so I patiently waited figuring one of them would eventually come and help me. That never happened. I even made eye contact with a couple of techs. I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. If the customer service is that bad while trying to purchase services I dont want to find out what it is like afterwards.

Great staff . Excellent manager and can do almost everything a stealership can . I did my wifes oil cooler plugs and coils for 200 bucks labor were here. We brought the parts just the oil cooler at the dealer the part would have been 600 .and its a turbo so the top half of the motor had to be removed to do the plugs and coils. Very professional and know what theyre doing they would be Master techs if you didnt have to pay for the certification & schooling. Hands on is always the best way to learn anything... Great place . I only let them work on my wifes sub and my car , syn oil change for 20$ bring your oil from Walmart for 28$ Mobil 1 annual protection. . Best prices in CA

Over rated and over priced.. person at the counter had no customer service skills was very rude so i took my business elsewhere. Not sure if they even merit 1star..

Had a coupon for $45 alignment given to us by Americas tire in Simi. Shop added $45 labor to adjust the caster and camber. Seems like adjusting caster, camber, toe, etc. is an alignment. Seems like they just added labor to squash the coupon.

Got sent here by Americas tires because I needed a lug nut. They took off my tires and said I needed new brake pads. Told them to put the tires back on because I didnt want to get it done today. Went to another mechanic and he told me I have about 50% life left with my current brake pads. These guys are not honest. Go to an honest mechanic for your brakes not here.
