The Home Depot in Seaside, California is one of the worst home improvement stores I have ever visited. The parking lot has homeless and illegal day workers hanging around making the parking lot somewhat unsafe. The store itself is large and trying to find help is always difficult. Employees aren't friendly nor are they helpful. They alwsys claim to be from a different department. Checking out is a pain and the process is horrible. This store is poorly managed and I wouldn't recommend ordering window blinds, flooring or custom doors. The installers and contractors Home Depot uses aren't good at performing their jobs. Home Depot is a poorly run store that I definetly won't recommend. Located in the ghetto city of Seaside.
We had to go to home depot this evening. To get cement for our project. Our loader was Carlos. I was. Waiting at the door for him and he took me by the arm across the street to my car. I am blind and he was very helpful. He was very polite and Load it up 4 /50 pound bags of cement into my car. Carlos is an asset to your company. And I and I am thankful for people like him. That is so helpful. Thank you, home depot and Carlos.
I was looking for LED lighting, and, with the diligent assistance of a Sales Associate, found exactly what I wanted, at a very reasonable price.
I want to preface this review by saying that the actual Home Depot experience, including the employees, at this location has always been positive. However, it's the parking lot that has been a persistent issue for me. Upon pulling up, you'll see that there are dozens of men constantly loitering in the parking lot both in groups and solo. Every time I drive in, park and walk towards the entrance, they stare me down like I'm walking onto their property. Some of them will call out at me and make cat call noises. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and there hasn't been a way for me to avoid it, as it's not just one corner of the lot but rather throughout the entire lot. I'm surprised such standing around and loitering is tolerated by management, as it doesn't appear that they're in a hurry to buy anything from the store. Please consider the safety of your female customers and address this issue please!
Driver for Home Depot truck flying around a corner and almost hits a car. Proceeds to flip them off after the person rightfully honked. Not good!
Poor customer service. Employees everywhere yet no help. Asked an employee stacking wood for assistance or if he could find someone to help me, told me he would be right over on the next isle and never showed. Eventually I used the cart as a ladder and shimmied 9 pieces of 4' x 8' 3/8" particle board from the top shelf on my own. Thanx...
I'm remodeling on property in Pebble Beach at the moment, having never been to this Home Depot since I'm from San Jose, I have to tell you the five visits I've had here have all been bad experience. When you first walk in you notice that they're playing acid rock on the overhead music system which is a little bizarre. Asking for help from any of their employees yields are very weird experience and an uncanny feeling. I asked one young man if they had electrical parts to mount a ceiling light, he didn't know but he said he would call somebody, he walked around for 10 minutes with his phone in his hand didn't call for help electrical department until I called him on and said hey get on the PA system and call somebody for electrical, he refused to do it. I'm in the store yesterday there's a line for the self checkout that's 8 or 9 deep and there's two gals standing next to a cash register just talking having a good old time and came over I said hey are you open and she immediately turned around and looked at me as if I was bothering her and said oh, the lines over there, then she turned around and went back to talking to her friend. Just standing there having a good old time couldn't be bothered. I don't know who the store manager is for this operation but there's a very negative weird vibe here. I mentioned to the homeowner I'm working for my weird experience at Home Depot he said oh yeah we never shop there, we go to Salinas and hit the Lowe's because they're very friendly, I got a better selection of product that seems to be higher quality and it's a much better experience. He shared with me he ordered some fluorine from Home Depot it took weeks to get it in, when the order finally came in it was wrong, he ended up getting upset and going to Lowe's, validating my experience, so it's not just me.
The Home Depot is one of my favorite place around. I go there mostly for cleaning supplies and they have a large sale area for this also
When you want the best deal you know where to go home Depot
Very hard to park. Homeless in the parking lot. Broken auto glass on the ground, which to me says auto burglaries
Not sure what has happened in the last 3or so months but this location stinks. The employees that were the most helpful are no longer employed there. Couldnt find a cart, Couldnt find help, and couldnt find what I was looking for. Another customer helped me load my purchase because nobody was around. Im going to lows from now on. It may be a bit of a drive but the employees are at least friendly, not more interested in there conversation than ringing up customers. Just sad. You lost me as a customer, management must suck!!!
The Home Depot is like most of the others. This one relies nearly entirely on self checkout.
Poor selection. Mostly helpful people. Not very knowledgeable.
Called home depot nothing but hang ups. 6xs total. Never answered my phone call.
Helpful
Joseph from Hardware (Jxp10T0) helped me out with a Milwaukee Fuel driver, Fuel drill and Fuel saw as well as the Rigid ProGear System 2.0. Helpful, knowledgable, great employee! Top-notch customer service - he went the extra mile and compared options for me. Thank you Joseph(!) You are the best!
Went to get a key copied & there was no one available. One of the employees said only one person can do it and they were busy. Not sure why someone couldn t take over for them while they made a copy of our key, but we got tired of waiting so we just left. We re just going to go to Ace Hardware.
When I have to
Everything is very organized.
The ladys at the registers are very helpful and I appreciate there nice aditudes when they are very busy. Thank you
The employees are helpful and love their job:)
Went in to use the restrooms and looked at the premade fences. Sturdy and nice.
The pro line is impossible to see. The only sign for it is literally a printer paper attached to a cone.
Late night sink leak. Needed a tiny cap. Home Depot folks here were great and got me everything I needed. Brilliant work.
Victoria in Garden is rude she is more interested in talking with the other cashier about their home issues and cleaning projects than looking at the customers and ringing them up with communication... She ignores you right in front of your face just to talk.... Your on the clock lady do your job and work!
Nate who works in the Paint Department is very knowledgeable, helpful and respectful. Always mindful on the customers and handle his work load with ease and a smile. Thank you Nate for your outstanding work ethic.
They have all the things you need here, so long as you can find them.
the geeks were on it
one of the biggest and best.
Aisles crowded with displays. With people and displays, sometimes difficult to get around aisles. Not enough direction to find what I need. Hard to find a worker to ask questions.
The lumber is often extremely warped and poorly milled, the selection of tools is really poor. The Rigid tools they offer are extremely low quality (I had two batteries short on me soon after phurchase), and the store brand jigsaw blades I purchased snapped and warped easily with normal use on 1/2 to 1 wood. The lines are usually pretty long for the self checkout, which is usually the only type of checkout available. I have had attendants (who man the self-checkout) put in incorrect item numbers for my products, so watch out for that because you can get overcharged. This is the only big box hardware store in the area, but at least for carpentry items I recommend you make the drive elsewhere. Oh, and the parking lot is a nightmare.
I have been here recently more than normal getting tools. I have received such good help from the team members when I have asked for help finding the tools and accessories I have needed.
A great place but as I excel in business im out growing there tools
It s Home Depot
This has to be the worst managed HD in the country. Very long lines due to functioning self checkout registers being closed. Parking is a nightmare. The immigrants are allowed to park anywhere so they take up about 2/3 of the lot, then this morning I see the employees parking in the spots near the door. What a joke this place is.
Over reliance on self check out, no working employees.
Staff are very kind and very friendly they will assist you so well..
Great staff and atmosphere!
Lots of poorly made items and overpriced
Always Packed ,But its always in stock
People if you exchange Alhambra water 5 gal jug , read very carefully when you exchanging it for alhambra container because they are giving one that said Sparkletts, and when you tried to return it empty they won t accept it, because they said it must say alhambra or primo. so you ended up with this empty bottle that you get from them and they won t accept it, then you have to buy a new.
The staff in this store is super helpful and friendly. I was getting back to my car and Carlos noticed that I bought a potting mix and was wearing white, so he offered help with putting it into my car. I m so grateful!
This location is a bad spot where it is bur it has alot of business
Great service
Just used bathroom.
A nice hardware store that is a deceptive monopoly. Not like another Lowes is lurking around somewhere.
What we needed was easy to find. The staff was very helpful getting down what we need.
So many things to look at and so many ideas for my moms house
Greatest store ever!! #teamhomedepot
The housekeepers are annoying.. when they see people need to use the restroom they imo take longer. If you need something when they open at 6 am and need to use the restroom , forget it till at least 7am to 7:15 .
You find everything for the home
Everything is more expensive keep voting democrat.
Adam in the garden section was excellent. Help out with my many questions very informative.
In store selection of modern day, Bluetooth devices limited.
They have most of what I am looking for.
I last visited 8/11/23 around the 3:00 hour with a friend. We planned on looking around but the handicap electric cart died and the gentleman that approached me was very rude and sarcastic and the coworkers feet away didn t say anything which is so wrong, would they let that man talk that way to a woman or child?! I was honestly caught off guard and still in disbelief! I was able to let manager Jaime know and he was very nice and understanding, thanks Jaime! Because of people like Jaime, I will always be a Home Depot customer, and will not let this experience drive me away from shopping in the future, however I will take a break from Home Depot for now as I need to feel safe and comfortable when I shop.
They have countless items but the staff is not very attentive.
Impossible to get help for things like cutting to length.
You must always inquire and visit inventory in order not to make a false step
Easy overpriced. Amazon is about 30% cheaper.
What a mess. Homeless everywhere, random people selling food out of different cars. My wife now wont shop this location because of safety. 20% of the parking lot is day workers.
Parking lot resembles a trash dumpster , its always filthy. Its more of a storage yard for vehicles with business names on them than it is a customer parking lot. At times, up to 50 people are loitering in the parking, and there are always some who peer into parked cars, as well as stare down women making it a very uncomfortable situation just to go shopping at a hardware store. When it comes time to check out, the only friendly employees are kept in the gardening center as cashiers. Theyre always fantastic back there. Every cashier, and or self check out assistant Ive ever encountered inside is rude and acts as though youre bothering them by making them do their job. As for the sales floor, lots of unorganized stuff and missing signs. If you ever need keys made, youll encounter an angry person who hates their job, and its clear as day.
They had what we needed but it was impossible to find without someone walking us straight to the item
You always find what you are looking for for construction, good service
This Home Depot is a conventional home improvement store like the rest. They have a wide selection of tools and materials. Service and store layout are ordinary but functional for DIY projects.
Checkout line was 20 people deep and self checkout was closed.
I visited Home Depot recently and was quite impressed with the store itself. The wide range of products and helpful staff made my shopping experience enjoyable. However, I did find the parking lot a bit challenging to navigate. Overall, a great store with room for improvement in the parking area. May need to open another location at the rate people visit here. lol
Easy to find everything we needed
Shopping for gardening supplies. They have a great selection
Been ripped off twice in the last year in the store, and the parking lot. Pay attention and watch your stuff.
As far as buying windows from them I replaced all my windows and sliders with Simonton $$$$ windows thru Home Depot, Seaside. I noticed that there was a puncture inside the seal between the two pieces of insulated glass on a slider. HD sales person said to take it up with Simonton in September 2022. I filed an online claim since this is a factory defect which the people installing should have caught. Weeks went by and I finally heard from someone requesting more info which I provided. Weeks (Month) later they told me they ordered a part number. Last February 23 HD installers came out and fixed one half of a slider. He Inspected the rest and found 2 more punctured windows (factory defects). Came out a month ago, Oct 23 and fixed one window and did a botched up job. Reused broken framing material leaving huge gaps. Called them yet again and said they would order the part (of course..) and send someone out to fix it. It is now 11/23 and these issues still have not been fixed. HD window installer and Simonton have been a nightmare.
All the same
They got everything
Very well stocked
Great service
Employee was very happy to help, and even sold me a floor model that was last in stock. Cahier was a bit more rude.
Its okay
Great store but they need to fix the parking lot situation ASAP. All the junk haulers seeking work with their trucks take up a lot of space. Have a designated space towards the back for them so everyone else can park.
Good
Out of respect for this man I wont show his face. His name is Dan though, wow few words. Impressive a real attentive wise man, assisted me through all the cuts I needed. Words cant show my gratitude sir, Thank you Dan, I hope Home Depot knows they have a Gem sir.
The lines are ridiculous here. They will only open minimal self checkout lines and have a maximum of 2 checkers on the floor. Sometimes only 1. This creates long waits for us customers. Its maddening. They also dont police the lines so people constantly start new lines out just outright cut the lines. Just a really bad experience. It has improved by a star recently
The parking lot at this Home Depot is in complete disrepair. The lines are terrible and there are pot holes. It s dangerous. These big stores rake in the profits and never spend to make sure they re not a horrible junkyard out front.
Home depot is nice, has the stuff I like, and the people are tolerable
Everything I need was there!!
Everything you need And the workers actually help you
Quick service
Always has everything you need
Great customer service Self check out..good But i always go to the cash register for my purchases. Got everything i need.. Busiest store on Monterey Peninsula.. Wow!!
Good costumer service..
The employees are hard working and really want to help customers find what they are looking for. I love this store
I frequently visit the Home Depot in Seaside, and am usually provided with excellent customer service. Especially when I can find someone to provide it. :-) I do, however, have one bone to pick, to wit: why are there no bicycle racks? I know the parking lot does not belong to Home Depot, but is it so difficult to move some of those wheelbarrows or grills you have in front and install bicycle parking? After all, you have a gazillion parking spaces for cars/pickups/RVs. Why not provide facilities for those who care about the planet during these times of sky-high gasoline prices and accelerating global warming. In fact, before too long your parking lot/store will be underwater. Think about it...and act (please)!
Very busy parking lot
Best place locally for home repair and related needs, and is still true in 2022
Staff was very helpful.
Materials are good, layout is good, service? You need to be aggressive and patient. When you find someone, youll find them to be pleasant and knowledgeable, even about areas they dont work in. HD corporate has done well to stock with quality and well-priced goods, and hire people who like to be of service.
Trish helped me. she was wonderful.
A place where you can find everything, the only thing is that in the mornings the employees always gather to smoke at the main door and not all of us like the smell of cigarettes. As a recommendation, they should look for another place and not the main entrance.
They have everything.
Nice clean place. Staff friendly and helpful.
I love Costco!
The staff is remarkably helpful. Selection on some products is weak at this location but Im letting that slide for some reason.
Does anyone answer the phone? I tried many times & several depts, just to be able to reach someone. I gave up & will shop elsewhere.
My favorite store every day,
Often out of stock of common hardware items. Good garden section.
Always able to find what I need here! Love the hold music and cat dancing GIFs.
Floor displays make it hard to get around when there are a lot of people.
Yup 100%, nice, helpful people.
The customer service people were very helpful
Easy to shop and fast help
Short wait when I visited and thats nice
Disorganized checkout Loud But lots of useful stuff. Halloween and Xmas decorations too close together.
Always helpful people here...
Great selection helpful employees
Good service
Its a really good home supplies
They probably might have it for way too much
Get a pick up for a roadie customer
What would we do without Home Depot? Never a bad experience there.
Clean store, with much better customer service than the rest Home Depot stores.
Excellent.
Staff is great at this location. The lady at the return desk was super nice and treated us Well which is not always the case.
Friendly and try to answer your questions and clarify your concerns and help you find what you are looking for
Helpful staff, but some items available online are not available in store
Always a good time
Terrible customer service
My favorite place
We went in around 9:15 pm. Quiet, not to many people. Went in got what we needed and got out. Great customer service.
A very clean store with great customer service
Assume 50% stock. Anything you want 50% stock. Tools? Maybe.
If we don t have it go to ace should be their slogan. Spent too long looking for a part. I asked for help and the gentleman just told me to go back to the isle I was at and keep looking. Kinda dig a little customer service not a chuckle and getting blown off.
It is a home depot, got some good plumbing help today, nice. Good inventory
Always my go - to !! Can t pass up a big hardware store .you can stock up on all the essential things like tarps, glue, sealant, duct tape and bungee cords!!
Mostly friendly, felt like one worker was a bit rude but everything was fine. I found what i was looking for and more. Well stocked.
Installers cancelled the first time at 6pm, didn t finish the job the second time because an item was damaged and there were no replacements, came back to make a mess on all the previously installed items and didn t clean anything before leaving the last time, dropped their Phillips screwdriver god knows how many times onto the hardwood that left 1/2 in. deep holes, peeled off the protective tape and left smudges on everything. I m just waiting for everything they installed to fall off the wall. Thanks for nothing
There isnt much to say, its Home Depot, that should explain itself.
Average Home Depot.
Good experience and you get everything you are looking for
I was replacing my work gloves that were lost and decided to upgrade to the thirty dollar pair over the twenty dollar pair. Without asking, the cashier gave me a ten dollar discount. I am blown away in a good way!! ( I wont mention any names to protect the cashier)
Dont walk up to a teenage girl and ask her for advice on the best roofing adhesive, or best duct insulation, and then get all surprised and upset when she doesnt know. Find an employee that fits your question. We all have Google why are you still asking questions?
Good customer service. Its just crowded and parking sucks
Very good service.
Clean and organized this trip.
Helpers were very knowledgeable! Thank you all!
Do not get anything done through Home Depot. I purchased my blinds for my new home with them and the blinds came in shorter than what the gentlemen had put down when he first came to the house to measure. This happened twice so I had to wait several months and I still haven t got them installed.
