S P Tune Up Center in Santa Paula

I haven’t actually been here but I called them with a list of things that the dealership recommended that would end up costing me about $1000. I wanted a quote from them to compare. They could have easily quoted me and had all this stuff done, but they told me that none of that is necessary unless I’m having actual issues. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name but guy I spoke to asked what the mileage was, and gave me advice on what to look out for and when to bring it in for maintenance. They definitely have my business when it’s time for that. Very much appreciated the honesty.

I came for a smog check, but I didn't feel welcomed here. The employee who helped me not even a Hi! or good morning. Just took my paper work and said nothing.

I broke down on the freeway the tow truck driver referred me to his uncle whom owned his own shop. Although he had my van a day and a half he couldn't figure it out. It started good and ran great. When got there I was worried. I knew there was a problem. He got in started it, looked to the right at the motor. Behold! Hanging there was something unplugged. He plugged it back in and that fixed the problem I guess. It cost $155.00 to plug something back in. Yes he's honest I guess but I still feel ripped off. Won't be going back. Reviews are to inform the people of the truth. This is the truth not my fault..

Fixed my friends 12 passenger van heater and air conditioner took a day in a half to be ready not bad at all. She runs a daycare so the price was right and there time and quality of the job. Exceptional customer service 👏. We were referred by Santa Paula Transmission by Jose he does great work as well. Hope you find this helpful.

Took my wife’s vehicle to SP Tune up because somebody had mentioned that it was leaking water. I called and Rio answered the phone promptly and after going over the issue quickly, he instructed me to bring it early the next morning and leave it so it can be looked at. Well, to my surprise, he called me within 35 minutes and told me nothing was wrong, it must have been the a/c running during the time she run her errands. He was awesome 👏 and his staff very nice as well. I can say I definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for an honest place to do business with. Great 👍 job guys!!

I've been going to SP Tune-up Center since 2000 for personal service on my vehicles; Fili, and now his son Rio, and their crew of mechanics are throwbacks to the time of neighborhood storefronts and service shops; when you find gems you keep them. Esperanza, wife and mother, keeps things running smooth with her presence behind the counter. Loyalty breeds loyalty. Thank you for your trusted service on the half dozen cars I've brought your way over the last 2 decades!

No one wants to have to do an emergency repair. So to give 5 stars for one is kinda amazing. I mean I should knock one star off just cause I am unhappy. But, that wouldn't be fair. SP Tune up center not only took my truck right away, they got it done in record time finding and fixing a few additional issues within the estimated cost. I can see why they are so highly rated (and they don't even know!).

Was Visiting from out of town, check engine light came on and I was about to leave on a 1200 mile trip. Rio got me in short notice on a Friday afternoon. Diagnosed and fixed the problem and had me on my way- made it home no problems. Great service- thank you. Recommend!
