Don t come here ! I would give zero stars if I could. I ve been coming here for years and thought of Carlos like family, but this experience was a real disappointment. I arrived at 8 a.m. for a battery change and didn t hear anything until I checked in at 1:30 p.m. They told me I d need to leave my car, but when I saw questionable behavior with my own eyes, I decided not to. Suddenly, they were able to change the battery in 15 minutes. They initially quoted me $3,500 for a new battery and filters, which dropped to $600 as I was getting ready to leave. In the end, I got a brand-new battery from AutoZone for $244 and had it installed for $50, compared to the $980 they wanted here. Ladies, be careful they overcharge and inflate prices. I wouldn t recommend this place.

This was a pleasant experience that left me with a feeling of trust for High Techs recommendations and pricing. I brought in my 19 year old Prius for a price comparison on replacing the hybrid batterys blower fan, which was recommended by Toyota. High Tech easily beat Toyotas price, using a new Toyota OEM part. They also fixed a badly stuck trunk latch and did an oil change. Patrick carefully test drove the car and checked the hybrid battery, which he found in good health. He fixed the trunk latch, which no one had been able to open. A previous auto shop told me the whole assembly should be replaced. Thank you Carlos, Cesar and crew for quality work and great customer service!

Cesar and his team were friendly and got the job done. I brought my mini cooper in for an oil leak and he even loaned me a car for free for 7 days while we waited for a bolt to come in. That was above and beyond - definitely recommend this team

I was in a pinch with my car not wanting to start and a work trip in a day and a half. I called and Cesar told me it wasn t a problem, he could handle it. I brought it right in and they gave me a fair price AND got it done in 1.5 hours. I will definitely go back! Great service! I won t go anywhere else if I don t absolutely have to.

I had previously left a bad review and was contacted to take down because they were going to make good of the money I spent. Well they never made good on the $1800 I spent. My car still leaks oil and on top of that they punctured my new tire and now I have a slow leak! I ve definitely bin scammed!!!

I brought my Escape in with a transmission issue, Cesar was fair and honest with me from the very beginning. He easily could have condemned it and charged me, but he and his team worked very hard to exhaust all the options before that. Ceasar is as honest as they come had 2008 G35 towed der within moments. One other, the guys were already inspecting. My vehicle. Because the battery was dead, he had already jumped started the car.and the car was stuck in gear, but all of a sudden it is not. He did not charge me a service charge to jump my battery. Next thing I know my car is running and I can get it in and out of gear. And he did not charge me. Carlos at High Tech is my go to mechanic! Ive been going to him for a few years, so its time for a review! Hes honest, quick and does great work. Hell tell you whats wrong, provide you the options, give you his advice, and work up an accurate estimate before he does any work. Hell never try and sell you anything you dont need, or overcharge you! Hes worked on my brakes, oil changes, tires, engine lights and currently fixing my suspension as I write this review. Always great, trustworthy and reliable work. The shop is small and they can only work on a few cars at a time, so be patient and hell take care of you and get you going in no time. :) Hes a true honest and reliable mechanic! I took my car in for a full inspection & service before a long road trip through Baja. Carlos did an amazing job. I felt very safe & secure during my drive. My check engine light was on so I took my car here- they did a thorough inspection and found the problem as well as told me the other maintenance issues my car had. I appreciated that they were not pushy and worked with me to fix what I could at my price point.

I needed work done same day oil change full synthetic and spark plugs replaced. I brought my own spark plugs and because I did my research they were cool with installing them. Whole job done in 90 minutes and the price is fair. They are also going to help my with check engine stuff so Ill be there for more work. They are cool funny and professional. I would recommend them.

Im So Grateful i found these mechanics! Saturday of a long Thanksgiving weekend where everyone turned me down, I had the battery light come on, not charging, they got me in and had a lull so 4 mechanic and the most incredible manager called to get a battery, filters, oil change had not been done in over a year. Anyway, it was my lucky day to find these guys. The manager was so kind. And the mechanics friendly and super compétant !!! They get 10 stars !!!

Car = 2002 Hyundai XG 350. Got a power steering pump replaced here, and I m very pleased. They were able to obtain replacement parts in a timely manner and had prices ~10% cheaper than nearby shops. They didn t call to provide updates along the way, but I assume that is only because they were getting the work done quickly and with quality. Carlos was knowledgeable and helpful. Hopefully I don t have future car issues, but if I do, I will be back at High Tech.

Carols and his team are the most reliable mechanics in the area. Whenever I have to bring my car in for some kind of service or issue, they thoroughly diagnose it. When they pinpoint what is causing problems, they will provide me the details, a repair plan and costs. If any additional issues are found, Carlos will not hesitate in telling me if the problem needs to be immediately addressed or if I can continue driving the car and take care of it later. He will also guarantee his work. I once replaced a radiator, which failed (manufacturer defect) almost a year later. He replaced it without any additional costs. All I can say is that I am fortunate to have a reliable, honest, reasonably priced mechanic in my area. If you have a car problem, bring it to High Tech Auto first. You wont be disappointed.

Honest, reliable and great customer service.

I brought my car in for an oil change and left. When I came back the cars that were in the garage when i arrived were still there, and they said my oil change was done. I asked if they put air in my tires and they said. Of course we always do that. A couple days later my low air pressure alert for my tires came on. Makes we worry that if they lied about that, what else they were shady about. Personally wouldnt trust this place.

I went to Carlos when needing to bring in my 10 year old VW for a regular check up :) He answered right away, said I could bring in the car anytime and was so kind from the start. When I arrive, he took down my contact details and said he would do a full look over and get back to me. About an hour later, I received a text with the recommended items with pricing details. Once approved my car was ready for pickup the same day although I wouldn t make it by 6pm so I picked up the next day :) No changes in the great pricing, no surprises, just everything as recommended and we left super happy. Carlos is the most honest Technician I know - hell always give you a straight answer. And he is very meticulous in finding out the root issue of problems. I spent $$$$ at Firestone to fix a leak and noise problem, first new shocks and struts, then a new valve cover gasket. Then they said I need a new rack and pinion. Carlos figured out the leak came from the rack and pinion but said its not an immediate problem, hell keep an eye on it. The noise problem was a disintegrating drive shaft. He told me I could use an original or after market replacement part. Rock solid.

I trust Carlos. That s saying a lot.

Toyota Santa Monica wanted more than $4000 to fix me up after I had an accident in an alley way. Carlos did it for less than half of that. He kept me well informed throughout the whole process.

Incredible customer service! My daughter is away at college in Santa Monica and drives her 2000 BMW 528i wagon while shes there. Her car was having issues starting so after doing some online research I told her to take it to High Tech Auto. After a very short period of time they diagnosed the issue to be a faulty alternator which is also what I suspected since I know the car very well. After speaking with Carlos on the phone he completely took care of my daughter and had the alternator replaced same day just 4 hours later! On top of that they only charged us 1 hour labor for the job! Total came out to be $423 which is well below what a normal replacement would cost. I cant overstate how impressed I am with their honesty, professionalism and kindness towards my daughter. Many other places would have looked at a young lady in a vulnerable position and tried to overcharge or add on repairs that were not necessary. High Tech Auto has become our place to go for any future repairs and has earned our loyalty for any future repairs!

Where other mechanic shops have failed to correctly diagnose or resolve, High Tech has always made time for me, treated me right and solved every issue my truck and I experienced. Not to mention the trouble they have prevented. If you dont know about this shop and are looking for an honest mechanic and team, you cant do any better in the L.A. area. Plus you can drop your car off and walk to the beach or the library. Great location. Even better people. 3 years as a customer. I go to these for everything related to my vehicle. I ve brought my car in for service three times now and I ve been very happy. Carlos and his team are very professional and have a price that s difficult to beat. I highly recommend.

We are from Indiana, and were visiting our son working on a school assignment. He was having brake problems while in Santa Monica. I called from IN and spoke with Carlos to set up an appt., based on a recommendation I got from the hotel we were to be staying at. I took the car in on the first Monday we were there. We needed new brakes, as well as flushing the brake system. He finished that in less than a day. We asked him about an airbag light, as well, and decided to trust that with Carlos, as well. In short, he was able to address that as well. He make it clear he does not charge for assessing the problem. I called my mechanic in Indiana about all these issues and what he felt I should expect to pay, etc. Carloss prices were very reasonable and so far his work has stood up. He was pleasant to work with, and understood we were on vacation and needed the car as quickly as he could get it to us. I would recommend him highly, and felt we also made a bit of a friend in our experience. Thank you, Carlos.
