Best prices in town for used bikes, used and new parts. Free bikes for kids (12 and under). Best help for a beginner or intermediate bike rider to learn new things and buy essential tools and just an overall cool place to hang out or volunteer at. Personally I love the little puppy they have she’s soooo cute ❤️ they also host lots of other events and gigs here for anybody who wants to share their art. Generally a nice place to visit if you’ve never been and the bikes there are dirt cheap
This is how a bike shop SHOULD BE! They work donation-based, allowing you to ask questions and get guidance for any work you do yourself. I was able to put my bike up on a stand, bleed both the front and back brakes, and get guidance along the whole way. My brakes are crisp now and I got to learn so much that I wouldn't have at any other bike shop. The staff is amazing and the gentleman with the tattoos is super kind and helpful, I really appreciated all the help I got yesterday. I have never been to a bike shop like this before. This bike shop reinstated my faith in the bicycling community. I'm currently cycling the pacific coast and I'm ready to keep rocking and rolling. Weeeeee!
Such a wonderful place. They are really kind, helpful and have huuuuge patience with people who know little about bike mechanics. I wish every city had this kind of places. My personal experience: came in with an old mountain bike, with worn out gears, wires and chain. After working in it for two mornings, I left the place with a great bike and lots of knowledge about how to fix my bike. And for a really good price. Definitely this is the way to encourage people to use the bike. Cheers!
I can not praise this awesome shop enough! Went there today to find a Women’s bike for a camping trip we’re going on. I wanted nothing fancy, basically just a bike that peddles so I can go on rides with our little one. Justin was AWESOME!!!! So knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and kind! I found a bike for myself and a new one for my little one. We’ll be back to find a bike for my hubby! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
What a fantastic space. The staff are genuine, knowledgeable, and helpful, the space is inviting and open to all members of the community, and the prices are second to none. If you are open to learning how to fix your own bike, the folks at The Bike Church will show you how, and you'll save a ton of money in the process. I don't think I'll take my bike anywhere else as long as I'm in Santa Cruz!
I recently went to The Bike Church for the first time. It was a very rewarding experience learning to repair my bike and doing the work myself. It’s awesome having somewhere in town where you have access to all the tools you need as well as inexpensive replacement parts. I learned how to repair my tire and my broken breaks with guidance from the wonderful Miss Judy. She was very helpful and attentive to myself and my partner, as well as various folks arriving and those who were already there fixing their bikes too. Very impressed by her knowledge and how she stayed on top of everything. Thanks so much to all the lovely staff we met! You guys do great work and you are appreciated : )
The only affordable option for used bikes, bike parts, and repairing your bike. It's the value of getting your bike fixed AND learning how. Also, got this awesome bar tape for $10!
A shared space for bicycle repair. They provide any necessary tools, with knowledgeable and helpful staff/volunteers on hand to answer questions and assist with any mechanical concerns. Bikes and new/used parts are affordable and fairly priced. They also accept bikes and parts that can be re-used or salvaged.
