The Engine Room in Santa Cruz

I've taken my car here several times now. The first time I came Jason was able to identify and fix a problem with my car that had been going on for years, one that 2 Honda dealers and multiple mechanics throughout the years could not identify. With each visit since the service is great and they always explain issues thoroughly. 5 star service!

Greg and Jason are great. I’ve been coming here since I got my learner’s permit, and they’ve never once exceeded their estimate.

The Engine Room is awesome! I'm usually a little intimidated when I walk into a car repair shop since I don't really know much about cars . These guys took their time explaining things to me and completely lacked the "condescending" attitude that I've experienced in other places. Thank you!

Fantastic local mechanic shop for all foreign cars

Very meticulous and detailed. Corrected problems other shops had created or overlooked. Friendly and helpful staff.

These guys do some fairly specialized work (as evidenced by the usual array of specialty classic cars in his yard), but don't turn up their nose at brakes for a pickup or a head gasket for your import. They're not the cheapest place in town but their work is meticulous. What's more important, especially if it's your family/business on the line?

I took my old Toyota truck to the Engine Room to check out my brakes. I worked with Jason who provided fantastic service. He was able to diagnose and repair the problem (warped discs) within a day. I'll definitely be returning to them whenever my truck needs maintenance.

We've been taking our Toyotas to Greg for 15 years. That's all that needs to be said, except to check five stars.
