Tyler was great! I've been coming into this trusted for years and have had consistently good service. At least 3 vehicles have been serviced here at one time or another. This time was an excellent experience. My car broke down on highway 17, i called on the way in. It was already um, a nightmare for me. When I arrived to specialized auto I was greeted by Tyler. As always, I felt reassured, I was in good hands. The price was very fair for all the work & he went above & beyond to make it affordable. I was updated promptly on what needed to be done & the timing. I'm very grateful that they provide a shuttle service.... As a single person, it's great to not have to hustle for a ride. Thanks so much for specialize auto & it's technicians for getting it all done! One more note, my car is twenty five years old and is not the easiest to deal with! DAZYBUG! My FABULOUS 2000 VW BUG is up and running! Full gratitude 🙏

Santa Cruz Specialized Auto is a great repair shop. They replaced the front struts / shocks for less than half the price the BMW dealer quoted. Michael provided excellent customer service & an efficient process. They offered a complimentary ride back to the shop to pick up my car! Highly recommend, by the way they partner with the Costco Auto Program for repairs and service!

Can’t say enough good about my first experience at Specialized! I’m not from Santa Cruz, so finding someone to trust with “car stuff” is tough - especially for a female. It’s easy to be misled and to be charged for unnecessary repairs (speaking from experience, unfortunately!). I brought my car in to see if the brake pads needed to be replaced. Paul got set me up with an appointment and once I arrived he assured me they’d check my brakes as well as my entire vehicle. I was fully prepared to be spending hundreds on brake pads but was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Paul that my car was done only hours later and that the brakes were just fine and didn’t need replacement! Yay for not having to spend hundreds of dollars, but more so that I’ve found a place I can actually TRUST to not mislead me. I will be going back for any and all repairs my car needs from now on, as trust to me is the most important thing. I have peace of mind knowing my car is safe to drive and that I can trust the place I brought it to - a double win. Thank you Specialized, and thank you to Paul!

I recently had my Subaru repaired here. The initial installation was done perfectly, but unfortunately, the Subaru part itself failed shortly after. This wasn't the shop's fault, but they still honored the warranty without question and replaced the part immediately, at no charge. They were professional, efficient, and clearly care about their customers. It's reassuring to know they stand behind their work, even when dealing with unexpected parts failures. I highly recommend them for their excellent service and commitment to customer satisfaction.

I've lived in Santa Cruz 41 years and can honestly say that hands-down this is the best auto shop in the county. Every single employee has a great attitude and personality that is very welcoming . They have helped me save thousands of dollars, thoroughly explaining how my car works and what it needs at that specific time ! I have had my car service there five or six times and have never felt nervous or confused about the work that's been done on my car. Great experience, they were able to get me in right away for a smog check. Asked if I wanted a car wash which I did. When I went to pay the bill I found out the car wash was included at no additional cost. Wow very impressive in this day. Great value and going above and beyond in service.

Specialized Auto is the best! We have driven numerous Volvo’s for over 25 years & have always received great service. Efficient, informed, reasonable & always upfront on what was needed with our vehicles. Mike Eshom in service is very good. We have also purchased 2 used Volvo’s from them. Still have one of them! Great car! Totally recommend them.
