I recently had my car serviced and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Owner did an outstanding job diagnosing and repairing the issue with my vehicle. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, Owner was professional, courteous, and transparent about the work that needed to be done. The communication was top-notch, and I appreciated the regular updates on the status of my car. The work itself was impeccable. Mechanic identified the problem quickly and efficiently, and the repair was done in a timely manner. The price was very reasonable, and I felt confident that I was getting a fair deal. What really impressed me, however, was the extra effort owner put into ensuring my car was running smoothly and safely. They took the time to explain the repairs, answered all my questions. I bought a (used) car private party and it immediately developed an issue with the A/C. Mike got me in quickly so we could try to address the issue before a planned trip with my kids. Unfortunately it ended up needing a new A/C compressor and while it wasn't cheap, they did the work quickly and took pity on me where they could. Stoked to have found a nearby, honest mechanic.

Both Mike and Randy were super helpful and courteous. The car’s electrical was freaking out on Hwy 17 which is a very bad place to breakdown cause the windy roads can impact driver safety. They determined it was the car’s alternator which was promptly replaced the next morning and the system was retested to ensure the car was all OK. They were honest and committed to get the car back by noon. I am visiting Santa Cruz in a rental and they knew it’s much easier to get around this wonderful city in a car. 👍🏼👍🏼

Competent well run shop, were able to sort out a bunch of wood rat chewed wiring on my Ford diesel truck.

I have been coming here for years! I need flexibility in schedule and they work with me. Tis the season and I will say they are the best Santa in town.

Been taking multiple cars (F250 diesel, previa, civic) to SCAT for about 10 years now - they always do a good job that stands up to use, and they get the car back to us when they say they will. They try the low-cost fixes first, then fit their recommendations to the car's intended use and probable lifespan. Definitely recommended!
