Rusty and ryan are the best father/son team in town. They truly like what they do and can even talk shop when it comes to racing. They always go above and beyond to ensure I get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Rusty’s is awesome. Needed a smog test went to a service next to the dealer. One reset didn’t reset. They had me driving on the highway to get it reset 3 times no reset. My 2014 PriusV had a random clunking sound in the rear passenger suspension (intermittent and not super loud, kind of like a shoe in the dryer sound) for a good month before I took it into Rusty's Repair ... I had another autoshop try and diagnose & fix, but they couldn't even hear figure it out. I had the rear shocks replaced, and the front sway bar links replaced prior to taking it to Rusty's, and still no fix to the elusive rear passenger clunking sound. When I called Rusty's to get some help, Rusty listened patiently while I explained everything. He brainstormed with me over the phone, set up an appointment for the next day, and went the extra mile by having his son Ryan drive in the passenger seat with me to help identify the clunk sound and located the possible culprit. They fixed the problem quickly and efficiently (bad hub/bearing in the rear passenger side, which was not the typical sound for a failing hub/bearing). I highly recommend Rusty's Repair. I will be bringing my vehicles in the future for my autoshop needs to Rusty & Ryan. They are amazing, and their business is a diamond in the rough these days! Thanks guys!

Rusty and his team are exceptional. They go out of their WAY to get the job done thoroughly and on time, all the while going out of their way to try and save money. How many times has someone told YOU they were able to do the job for much less than previously thought? Rusty has done that for me and my family at least twice - we couldn't be more grateful. Rusty has been our mechanic for about 40 years. Everything has always been great, obviously if we kept going back! He also is a generous guy who saved us when he diagnosed and fixed a problem that was putting us two old people in danger as the car was dying while driving on the freeway. He helped us when we were unable to pay the bill! Thank you, Rusty! Someday maybe we can take care of that.

I ended up going here because I was too lazy to drive back to Aptos to go to my normal mechanic. I was very pleased with the service here. I got a SMOG done. I arrived at 8, they were smogging my car about 8:20, and done by about 8:45. It cost 54 bucks, which seems lower than most other places. I was pleased and would recommend to other people.
