Levity Vans - Van Conversions in Santa Cruz

Jimmy worked with us on building our new van. They did important parts of the van: windows, vents, inside siding, electrical and more. They were always so patient with my schedule in finishing my parts before they worked on the next stage. Their technical expertise and help in completing my van was incomparable. They never stopped until the project was finished to their satisfaction. There is not another company owner that has the expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to his customers. Importantly, Jimmy is just a good person.

I recently bought a Winnebago Campervan that needed a seat for the rear and a better way of powering the 12V lighting and fans in the rear because the van had no way of connecting an external power source to power the interior 12V system. Levity installed a switch that allows me to switch between chassis battery and external power source (ecoflow generator). Levity was great to work with and I greatly appreciate their flexibility and willingness to take on such a small job. Jimmy and Eric were great to work with.

I had an amazing experience at Levity Vans to get my Starlink antenna and back-up lights installed. First of all, they did a great job installing the entire Starlink system. My original intended lights were out of stock. Instead of disappointing me, Levity Van installed a different set of lights, which took a long time to get perfect. The owner actually had to go out and buy stainless steel bolts to mount the lights. In addition, they were amazingly hospitable and hosted me and my mobility challenged dog for a whole day. Great people, great service, great shop. I truly appreciate Levity Vans and everyone there!

When I had some electrical issues with my new converted van, that was NOT built by Levity, I reached out to Jimmy and his team. I could not have made a better choice. Upon inspection, they found multiple electrical issues that severely compromised the safety of my van. Jimmy was even kind enough to reach out to the guy who built my van, who unfortunately was not receptive to the safety issues that were uncovered. Jimmy and his team, made it their mission to fix the issues, giving me peace of mind so that I can now enjoy my van without worry. I highly recommend Levity, for repairs, not to mention that their custom builds are gorgeous. They are honest, friendly, and all-around good humans! If you get the opportunity to work with Levity Vans on anything, you should take it! I own a Storyteller Overland and Flarespace recommended Levity to me for my spare tire mount/assembly and installation. I didn’t hesitate because I’d considered a custom build with Levity in the past - and only didn’t because I was in a bind and needed a van right away. The response time from Levity (thank you so much Reece and Sarah) was instant and they were able to order all the parts needed from vendors and did the installation in less than two hours. But the best part of this experience was meeting Jimmy, Reece and Sarah who were all super welcoming and thoughtful. I was able to talk to them about some of the modifications I want to make (and they can help me!) and then…then I got smacked with a teeny whiff of buyer’s remorse because Jimmy took the time to show me one of their van builds. 😍😍😍😍😍 The woodwork, metalwork and cabinetry are STELLAR quality. It is beautiful to look at but also no sharp edges, no wasted space, and such spacious interiors. The thoughtfulness in design and utilization of space is awesome. If I ever need to replace my van, I already know I’ll work with them for a custom build. In the meantime I’m looking forward to some high quality modifications to make my Storyteller come a little bit closer to the quality of craftsmanship at Levity. I love Storyteller and think they do great work - no disrespect at all - I just know that if I’d had the time and resources to do a custom build, I would have done it with Levity. And I hope to do so in the future. Please consider giving them your business - take the time to look at their builds in person if you can…it’s delightful to see their work in person and I’m stoked for anyone who gets to own a van they build. Jimmy and his crew did an excellent job installing the windows, Esperbacher heater, and MaxxAir vent on my 2021 ProMaster van. They delivered on time, and happily answered my follow-up questions. These are good people who know their stuff.

Jimmy is the best! I bought a sprinter van partially built out but knew it probably wasn’t built out the best or the safest. Jimmy took the time to work with what I had and improve it greatly. He was honest and flexible and worked really fast! I had him do my electrical and reconfigure my solar. Everything was done impeccably and looks great! I can’t thank him enough 🙏🏻
