Action Auto Glass: They Fixed My Van After a Weed-Wielding Ninja Attack Four stars, because honestly, how often do you get to say your gardener turned your van into a rock-chipped Jackson Pollock painting with a weedwhacker? It's a story for the ages, really. Anyway, I digress. So, my friendly neighborhood foliage fanatic decided my van needed a little "ventilation" courtesy of a rogue rock and his spinning string of doom. I'm not even mad, just impressed with the trajectory. I called Action Auto Glass in a panic, rattled off the VIN like I was summoning a demon, and they were surprisingly chill. They ordered the glass, I dropped off the van (after carefully removing the stray bits of pulverized window), and BAM! Less than 24 hours later, my van was back, looking like it hadn't been assaulted by a landscaping commando. The glass is clear, the install is solid, and the van drives like it never had a rock-sized hole in it. The only reason it's not a five-star review is because I'm still slightly traumatized by the mental image of my gardener channeling his inner Bruce Lee with a weedwhacker. But that's not Action Auto Glass's fault. They fixed the carnage, not caused it. If you ever find yourself in a situation where your vehicle has been attacked by a rogue gardening tool (or, you know, a regular rock), Action Auto Glass is your team. They'll have you back on the road before you can say "insurance deductible." Just maybe keep your gardener away from the van next time.

Action Glass is a gem. I called about 5 different auto glass repair places in Santa Cruz & Watsonville and am so glad that I chose these guys to repair the rear electric/tinted/defrost whole-window slider on my older 07 Tundra. Aside from being the second most competitive price, they had the special order window in the next day, installed it within their 4-hour time frame and made it super easy. Pete and Annie are genuinely caring people here.

We absorbed a rock at highway speed that sent a small, fan-shaped spray of glass over the dashboard. Yeehaw. These folks are wonderful. We arranged everything over the phone, and they did the magic with AAA insurance for me. They took me an hour early when my schedule freed up and swapped in a new windshield while my dog and I strolled the neighborhood off 7th. They also found and alerted me to a crack in my oil filter. Love love love to buy local—thanks, Folks!

Amazing quality of work, customer service, and affordable prices! I never leave reviews but was just that impressed with Action Auto. I scheduled an appointment, brought the car in the next day, and they had it done within 2 hours. Jason specifically was so helpful from beginning to end. Action Auto is genuine and will not price-gauge you! I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

I had my windshield replaced by Action Auto Glass in August 2018. I noticed a large amount of water in my car at the beginning of the last set of storms we had out here. I vacuumed out 1.5 gallons of water and disassembled my interior to pull my carpets out and find the source of the water intrusion. The typical spots for water intrusion on Subarus are the AC drain line, and windshield cowl drain, both of which were clear. I took my car to the Subaru dealer which found water coming in through the windshield on the driver's side of the car. I verified the water intrusion at home with a garden hose. I called Action Auto Glass to see if we could find a solution and the woman on the phone was very quick to point out their 1-year warranty. They offered no help or solution and didn't even want to look at the car. I took the car to a competitor in the area and he removed the windshield and took pictures of the problem area. He found that there was a 1 inch gap in the urethane adhesive on the windshield and on the car on the driver's side. My windshield was improperly installed by Action Auto Glass and has cost me considerable time and money. I had to purchase a car cover, new carpets, and labor at the dealer totaling up to $700 on top of what I spent originally at Action Auto Glass for an improper installation and over 8 hours of my time disassembling my car and troubleshooting the issue. I cannot recommend Action Auto Glass due to their poor work and bad warranty. Their 1-year warranty indicates that they do not stand by their work. Their competitor in Santa Cruz offers a lifetime warranty on their work.
