After getting some recommendations from a couple of friends who own Subarus, I decided to give Hartzel a shot. I needed to give my car a 60k service, they broke down everything that my car needed for that mileage and they also accommodated extra service requests. The service was done in 3.5 hours. Right away, after driving off the lot, I noticed my car was running just as smooth as it did when I got it the first time. Thank you so much, will definitely return for my next service.

I went to Hartzel Automotive to have some work done on a new-to-me Subaru Forester Sport based on the great reviews on Google and Yelp. I called the shop, spoke with Barry, the owner and made an appointment. I dropped my car off for work this morning that was very likely overdue on the car. Barry had previously informed me about the costs associated with the spark plugs and CVT fluid change and clearly explained the process and needs for both services. He called me about two hours later to let me know that the work was done but having done a check on the brakes, found the rear disc brakes were worn basically down to the metal and that a lug nut was also missing on one of the rear wheels. Because I had told him I was planning a cross country trip with the car, he asked if I wanted the brakes to be done and explained the costs and why the rear brakes were worn so much more than the front brakes. I agreed to have the work done and about an hour later I got my car back all caught up with much needed service. I am so grateful to Barry and his team and for his fair pricing and spot on making sure my car was not only safe but properly serviced. If you have a Subaru, you won't go wrong taking your car to Hartzel Automotive. Thank you Barry!

I went to Hartzel to have my Miata prepared and ready for an upcoming track day. Barry, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and he runs an incredible shop with equally talented mechanics. Reasonably priced and did the work efficiently. I’m very glad that Hartzel Automotive was recommended to me. They are the only people I will trust with my car.

Barry was the consummate professional. He not only knew what he was doing, but detected where the dealer damaged the engine. He clearly described what needed to be done and why. Repaired the engine at 1/2 the price quoted by the dealer. I would highly recommend using this mechanic.
