I was new to the location and looking for good mechanic to fix the alignment issue with my Lexus car. It was dragging to the right. I searched and found this repair shop near to my house. I called and made the appointment. I dropped off the car and returned. Few hours later I received a call saying I need an alignment part to be fitted so that the alignment can be done properly which costs around $55. I agreed and next hour or so I received a message saying car is ready to be picked up!. Later I picked up and the same weekend I went for a road test and found the dragging issues was fixed felt the handling was a way better than earlier. But still it was going to right if I leave steering wheel. I brought it back to the shop the next morning and he said to take a look at it. Later I received a message and picked up the car and thats it! Drive is much smoother and no more dragging issues. Also I found they have cleaned the tire for free!. After few days my wife got into wobbling sound while driving on highway and I told her to return straight to the home. I was initially suspecting it could be related to the recent alignment I had done. When she arrived I inspected and found a big bolt entered into the front driver side wheel and the bolt head on top of the tire was casing this noise. I immediately call ACE repair and dropped off the car same day. He inspected and said it is a flat tire and he can fix it. I also provided a feedback on last road test that the steering is slightly tight after the alignment. He said to lubricate the steering and balance the tires to address the issue. In next hour I received message and I arrived to the counter to pick up. When he gave me the key I asked him how much I need to pay. He said NOTHING!!. What? did I hear correctly? I asked why cannot you take your fee? He said this service is free and this is how we work. At that time literally I thought for a moment such people still exist in this world. Any other shop would easily charge you $40-60 bucks min for tire repair. But these guys are the best. Not only they provide good service also they listen and address the issues customer is highlighting. I never had such good experience with any other mechanic before. I think this is a one stop quality solution for all the repair work. I would do all my services here in future.

I wish I could give zero stars. This shop scammed me. I took my car in for routine maintenance. While my car was in the shop, Danny called me to tell me I NEEDED new brakes in the next month and it was quite urgent. They quoted me $700 (HOW??) and they could fix it right then. I said Id think about it and ended up taking it to a new mechanic. This mechanic looked at my brake pads and found they still had 70% life left in them, and that Prius usually never need their brake replaced for their whole lifetime. I took photos of my brake pads which had 7mm, and Ace had measured 4mm. Even at 4mm that they measured (which was wrong), I STILL would not have needed my brake done. I ended up buying the new brake parts & paying another mechanic for his time to just tell me that Ace scammed me. Ace ended up turning it on me and basically said I was lying because they never wrote down the reccomendation of new brake. Horrible service, and I was taken advantage of.

Ace Auto Repair was a lifesaver! We were on a long road trip when we blew out the tire on our trailer. Omer went above and beyond to get us the parts we needed. Seriously could not of got through the day with him. Thank you! Highly recommend!

These guys are the BEST. My recent experience made me a bigger fan of Ace than I already was. My daughter had a DMV driving test and an hour before the test I found out that one of the brake lights was not working. Rushed to Ace and explained my crisis. It was lunch time and most techs were out. But that didn t stop them for being awesome as always. They found a tech, rushed the car into the repair bay, fixed it in 10 minutes and they did it for free !! They just said Tell your daughter to go pass that test . THANK YOU folks. You aced it.

Long story short, I took my car here and not only did they scam me, my car engine was permanently damaged due to their incompetence. Beware of this shop. I will be reporting them to the state bureau of automotive repair. They should no longer be in business.

Recently, after having a terrible week, my brake light came on on my dash. I called Ace (they most recently serviced my brakes) and asked if I should be concerned. Danny answered and said, Yes, you should bring the car in. Luckily, I was able to go right then and have them check it out. Danny told me they found a leak in the brake line, and they would check it out. In the end, the fixed it and sent me on my way. Then, a mere 5 days later, my tire pressure gauge light came on. Seriously?! I found out I had a nail in my tire and had to take to Ace yet again. Both times, they patched me up, no charge, and what I really want to emphasize the most is that I NEVER feel like I am being ripped off because I am a woman. They were professional, never oversell, and dont prescribe things that need fixing when they dont. Kudos to all of the staff there, I am truly appreciative!

I had a flat tire on my car and they accurately replaced my two pairs of tires in a timely manner. BUT, they may refer you as a dog and job may be more expensive than other local shops. Their verbal quote for 2 pairs of tires did not match the actual price (hiding tax, fee, etc.); so, make sure to get a written quote. Actual price of tire + installment was actually about 20% more expensive than Co**co and 10% more expensive than other local tire shop (Bi* * **re). Make sure to compare the price before you hand the key over. Furthermore, when I asked for a missing AAA 10% labor discount although I told them my car was towed by AAA to the shop earlier, the worker mocked me, Its only $20 but OK. Next time, tell me ahead before the bill. Didnt know i was being serviced by Mr. Musk here. And, not sure how I would know about the discount being applied or not before the bill. Lastly, in 30 minutes of staying in the lobby, I heard the front desk workers saying: this dog (customer) kept barking about the price. If you are gonna bark, bark before the job, you know? after a phone call and also calling another customer she doesnt know what shes talking about as well. If you are in need of urgent help, they will do the job in a timely manner. But, it will cost you some cash and you may be referred as a barking dog behind your back. Its your choice.

These guys are highly competent, extremely honest and most trustworthy shop in this region. They changed the tires on my car several months ago. They beat Costcos price hands down and followed up twice to check if everything was alright. Last week, I had some electrical issues in my SUV. I needed the problem fixed fast and I called several shops in the Danville-San Ramon locality. The other places gave me huge estimates and told me that I needed an alternator with a new battery, without even looking at the vehicle! Danny at Ace is a straight shooter and he told me that he needs to look at the vehicle first. (Btw. I pressed him for an estimate for the alternator and Aces quote was lower that the other shops).I took my SUV to Ace and it turned out that all I needed was a battery and alternator was just fine. They fixed what needed fixing and did it in a timely fashion. This is the second time they save me money. For future repairs and maintenance of my vehicles, I am always going to Ace.

Walked in with a dieing battery in my 4 year old car. They took me right away and charged me a fair price. Drove away in about 45 minutes. Great job at ACE.

My sister in laws 2012 Audi A4 had fuel smell coming from the engine compartment and Ace was able to figure the source of the leak. They repaired the source of the problem and in addition, they replaced the worn front brakes. Danny who helped us was very helpful and sent a text 2 days later to check on how the car is performing. Everything went well with absolute great service from Ace. I highly recommend this place to get your car fixed and maintained.

Struggled to get an appointment / call back at another local shop, the Ace team patched my flat tire same day at no cost. After my dash sensor turned on again a week later, they found room in their schedule to replace all four worn tires. I was recommended a brand name tire on promotion & Ace provided me all the details to get reimbursed. Incredible service, I feel fortunate to have found a shop like this in the neighborhood.

I called Ace Auto Repair & Tire with a question I had about my car. (I had a lot of expensive work done there) Danny was extremely short with me and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another gentleman who answered my question.

Ive used ACE for sometime but reduced my use of them when I purchased an electric vehicle. Upon my recent return with the purchase of another vehicle, their friendliness, competence and professionalism had not altered. I own classic cars to a bump around, get it done truck that ACE takes the best care of. Ive brought my 86 Porsche to them & felt like I got back a different car. Trust me, they are good at what they do, Real Pros.

Came here twice with my dad for a flat tire over the course of 4 years. All of them are always rude to me (women) and I ve seen them be rude to other people of color. They refused to greet us when we came in, refused to make eye contact and ignored our questions about the car. Plus, they damaged my repairable tire more During inspection, then told me they couldn t repair or replace the tire after keeping it for 3 days.

Each time I bring my car in to them I feel totally confident that theyll do a thorough job of keeping me safe on the road with their service. I drive 82 miles each day for work across the San Mateo Bridge, and that confidence is important to me! They are honest with their charges and dont try to advocate for services you dont need.

I was really grateful to have found out that Ace Auto Repair are willing to stand behind their work. The air conditioning compressor that they had installed in my care 1.5 years ago failed; they were gracious enough to replace at no cost. Usually, the work is exemplary, the personnel polite and attentive and the explanations of the work performed quite accurate. Highly recommended.

Had my truck towed here after it died on the side of the freeway. Everyone was extremely nice, and they worked with me to do the repairs in two parts, making the unexpected expense a little less painful. They do quick work, and my truck was running in no time!

George and the crew at Ace Auto Repair really helped me out of a tight jam I found myself in when my 2014 Subaru broke down some 1,000 miles away from my home in Montana. They squeezed me into their books quickly, and took care of me from the start. I felt comfortable the entire time talking to the crew, and they seem to be very open and honest with what they are doing. George kept me in the loop with things, and the actual cost ended up being significantly less than the estimate. If I was a resident of the area, or if I ever break down near San Ramon again, I know I would bring my car back to Ace Auto Repair.

Went for a state check and the car passed as could have been expected as it is an 2017. The guys at the front desk were actually very attentive. The thing here is how DISHONEST the technicians are, which may include the whole personnel as nobody told me that they changed a rear bulb but damaged the taillight. Trying to place back the thing they cracked the taillight and glued without letting me know. I did not realize about it until last week. Just imagine, if this happened with something that is visible, how can you trust your car or your safety (or even your family s) for any kind of auto repair. I DO NOT TRUST THEM and definitely I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM. So sad there are still businesses like this.

Came in with a slow leak. They whisked the car into the back in a minute, took about 25 minutes to find the nail and fix it. No charge! Not only great service, but I heard a really great attitude to every customer while I was waiting. Ill certainly keep them in mind for future tire or other work.

We moved here five years ago and discovered this shop. They take care of all four of our vehicles. All professional and tells you exactly what is going on. They do not recommend service if not needed- valuable for one that does not have a mechanic background. Appointment is good and generally will get the car back on the same day.

Called in the morning about car overheating and squealing brakes; they said come on in. Dropped car off at 8:30. They diagnosed the overheating as a failed radiator cap and said I needed new pads and rotors for the front brakes (rear brakes were still good). Got an estimate, and I OKAYed the work. They had it ready at 3:30 that same day. Ace Auto consistently exceeds my expectations on diagnosing issues and doing high quality work quickly.

They are fast, friendly and helpful, doesnt get much better than this.

I have been taking all of my family vehicles to ACE for more thank a decade. I can assure you they are very interested the value and service they provide. They never, and I mean never try to sell you something yo can hold on and do later. They will tell you something to the effect of you can actually wait on this until your next service They are fantastic with all vehicles whether domestic, European, Japanese, all makes and models. They can perform everything a dealership does at a much more reasonable cost.

I have been doing business with these folks for many years and would not trust my vehicle to anyone else. I drive a Lexus and do not want to drive all the way to Concord or Pleasanton for servicing when Ace is more than capable of doing whatever is needed efficiently. It is an extraordinarily clean facility who also is trusted to maintain our local police vehicles. VERY highly recommended!

Ive been bringing our cars here for 14 years since moving to Danville. The team here is the best. Front office is always helpful and clear with describing work, so anyone could understand. They dont try to up sell you work that can wait to be done on a future visits. While you wait in the morning for an oil change you can always enjoy Eggs Benedict at Katys Korner.

If they make a mistake they refuse responsibility and treat the customer rudely even if you are polite. They made a labor intensive expensive A/C repair (over $2000). Two problems arose from the fix: a noise and a mildew smell, both coming from the vents. Reluctantly they checked and found they mistakenly did not connect a drain hose properly. That fixed the noise but not the mildew smell. From then on both Jeff and Danny made up explanations to avoid assuming responsibility while treating me rudely even though I remained calm but standing my ground. The fact remains the problem started after their initial repair no matter how they deny it. They should properly train Jeff and Danny to not get angry with customers, especially if the customer is proper and respectful. I ll not go back to ACE and will make sure my friends, neighbors in San Ramon, colleagues and golf acquaintances avoid this place as well.

Awful customer service.

I used their service many times when I lived in San Ramon, and even now I come to them from Lafayette if I need serious or expensive repair. Their price is usually much lower than at a dealership, and I did not have job quality problems with them.

The only place I will take my cars. Dependable, honest and they do quality work! One of my cars is older and is not driven a great deal, they work with me on keeping it running well but not over spending on things that could be fixed but is not needed for safety. Recently replaced tires on my new car and their price was better than Costco and they were able to do the work in 24 hours rather than the 2 weeks Costco needed to order.

My go to shop when I need work done on my car. They always have the work done in the time frame they gave me, and at the price they quote me.

Had fuel door locked out. they charge $39.60 for check and advise, which is high for the job. Their changes for the slandered (oil change etc ) seems to be reasonable. Happy with oil change.

The folks at Ace are always friendly and helpful. Most recently I had an issue caused by one of those quick lube places (just because Ace is near my work, but not near my home and I had my oil changed on the weekend), and they got me in immediately, fixed it quickly, and got my check engine light turned off. I trust this company to give me fair prices and fair diagnosis. Trust me, I have had my share of paying mechanics too much... I dont believe I would ever be treated that way by Ace.

Ace quickly and economically resolved a tenacious brake problem that my last shop asserted was because of my bad driving habits. Ace was fast, efficient and Ive referred them to everyone who will listen. Ive been to a number of shops in the area who really only did mediocre work or were too expensive. Ive found my dream shop! Ive been with Ace Auto since 1980 when George Chavez (owner) first was open in a gas station then he started a new place on his own @ the current address . Ive worked with all the guys @ the front desk ( Tom, Jeff, Danny ) & they do much that other places wont even touch . AND, they always give out a schedule with updates on the vehicles in question . I have a Chevy (US) & a Mercedes (German) and they work on both U S & out of country made vehicles . It seems all folks @ the front desk & in the shop are very good taking care of the vehicles & their owners . Ive built up/raced cars & motor cycles in my younger days but the folks there have always given me the straight story . They cant/dont fool me . 5 + STARS .......

Ive taken my car to Ace for routine maintenance as well as any major service repairs needed for about 5 years. Theyve always been friendly, informative, helpful and professional. They always seem to have my best interest in mind. I like that I can drop it off in the morning and catch a ride to work in the shuttle, then get picked up to get the car later when its ready; quite convenient.

I have all the maintenance work for my 2003 BMW 325ci performed by Ace. Their work is always accurate and very dependable. But what I like most about them is they do the work I ask for and they also do a complete evaluation of the car and identify potential issues. They do repairs and they provide advice on how the keep my car performing in the best way possible. It is so comforting to have an auto maintenance and repair facility that I can trust to do the right thing. Ace is that place for me!

Honest, talented and professional! I am a widow with two school aged girls and I know nothing about cars. For many businesses I could be a walking target, but at ACE I know I will be dealt with in an honest manner. They have called me back to question if something actually needs to be fixed, and have suggested less expensive options since my car is 13 years old. Safety is always their first concern but I know they will not do anything to my car just for a profit.

They replaced my clutch quickly and for a reasonable price. They called several times during the process to give me status updates. Good service.

Did my mothers Saab 9-3s alignment here, they charge 90$ for 4 wheel alignment but only charged me 65$ since the rear wheels were already aligned. After wards the car had a strange knocking sound when you braked (one single knock) I took it back to them and they diagnosed it and found that one of the tie rods came loose due to long term disaligment, after they tightened it the noise is gone, they did it free of charge as well, now I left my 9-5 for alignment there as well. Defently A+ shop in my book.
