This shop is going viral on Reddit for how they SIGNIFICANTLY overcharged a woman. I mean $969 to swap a battery, saying it cost $940 for the battery .that exact battery is $210 at oreilly. Dare I say, criminal price gauging, or they are trying to take advantage of a woman. Either way, that s not okay. Run from this mechanic. You re welcome.

Start to finish they were amazing!! I called the day before and they told me yea bring your car right over the next day!!! Brought it in and they immediately took it back to assess it. They kept me updated the entire time and even cut the cost of my labor because they said it was pretty high to just have headlights replaced. Issac was very personable and engaging. I feel like what I paid was reasonable and I even got my car back the same day! They re going to be my new go to shop!

BEWARE THEY BREAK YOUR CAR! Short: They seem to fix your car, only to have you keep going back in as more issues arise weeks later. They also keep your car for literal weeks and months. In the end, we had to give up the car due to needing too many repairs after who-knows-WHAT they did to the poor thing! Long: I had a car with no problems. Then, my oil pressure light came on, and I brought it to this place December 1, 2023. The car was under warranty, and this place is aligned with warranties, hence why I brought it here. Victor wanted to replace the entire engine, despite the issue being the oil pump. I thought that was extreme, but he said we could do it since it was covered under warranty. I didn t feel I had a choice in the matter, as he called me up quickly to declare this and hung up to go call the warranty people. It took a week to get the warranty to cover the engine replacement. Then it was the holidays. I was understanding, especially as I knew it was a big job. Yet they had the car until mid-late January!! This interfered with work, grocery shopping, and our plans. After we finally got the car back, I thought we would be in the clear. But then the car started revving on its own and jolting/stuttering, both when parked and driving. We brought it back to get checked out. They said it had to get new control arms, so they replaced those after having the car for another week or so. Once getting it back on a Friday, we drove it around the weekend and brought it back immediately on Monday, as it made a terrible screeching sound when we turned to the right. This was due to them denting a dust cover, which they luckily fixed within two days instead of two weeks. At this point, I was doubting their competency and if they were actually trying to help me, or just getting the car back in for warranty money. As we continued to drive the car, it persisted in having the weird revving and jolting issue. The car lurched forward! They said it was the engine mounts that had to be replaced even though they had already replaced the engine and it should have had new mounts! Begrudgingly, we took it back for new mounts. I didn t want to bring it back as I was seeing this place as more and more of a scam. But because they had been the ones to deal with the engine this whole time and because this SEEMED like the last of the issues I figured I would bring it back. They changed the mounts surprisingly in one day, as we were getting on their case for holding this car for so long. But the car was STILL having jolting issues! I brought it to a different shop. This one wasn t a warranty shop, as every warranty shop I looked at had bad reviews of the same issues we dealt with at this place, and I wanted the car to be FIXED, not going back in time and time again! Yet Centric Auto Repair had the MOST one star reviews, for good reasons! Anyhow, we brought the car to Knights Automotive to get it completely checked over, as we had the same oil pressure light pop up again; this is what started the issues in the first place! They found a coolant leak that needed to replace the radiator, the oil pressure sender was spinning and effecting the oil flow, and a PCM issue that would cost $3,000+! In the end, I didn t trust Centric Auto Repair to have fixed the engine or any part of the car correctly. I worried that, even if we got all of these further repairs done (under warranty or not), the car would STILL have issues because of this place meddling with the poor car and causing issues to befall it later. I brought the car back to CarMax, but as they couldn t do the repairs themselves and the dealer couldnt do the repairs in a timely manner (and I didn t trust warranty garages to do it), I had to give up the car especially as I NEED a reliable car for the next two months with so much traveling going on. I couldn t afford to wait, and thus, my car is no longer with me. Stay away from these scammers for your car s sake!

Took my prius 3 places. Centric was under other quotes. Better though, time was a factor to them. I was prepared for weeks of waiting. 4 biz days later rebuilt battery done and at best price. I give 100% recommendation here. Oh and sodas and gummy bears in lobby. The Lil things count .

Even though I ended up not using this shop for my daughters car repair, they were so professional and helped me manoeuvre a towing all the way to LA, and let me store the car in the back until Monday for the towing company and I was able to text them what I needed in order for the car to be picked up by a towing company without my daughter having to come by and they held onto the key. Very professional and respectful of my situation

FRAUD ALERT!!! Dont go here, whatever you do! I dropped of my Dodge Challenger several days ago, because my headlights both went out. I had a warranty through CarMax, and this place was an approved shop so I figured I could trust them. Wrong! They called me at the end of the day and told me that the car was going to need over $4900 worth of repairs, so they submitted a claim and I get a rental car for a week. After the warranty claims inspector visited the shop, they called me and said that they were denying the entire claim because the only thing the car needed was two $8 fuses and the headlights worked fine. When I asked why they didnt just change the fuse and call me, the manager told me they were just trying to milk the warranty company. WHAT??? This is insane! These guys made me go without a car all week when all they had to do was change a fuse. They charged me $285 just for that, not to mention I was out of pocket on a rental car all week. Stay away from these scammers at all costs!!!

Great customer service and even faster turnaround

Overpriced- they charged me $189 for oil change and tire rotation. They said that other places charge less because they don t use quality oil or something like that. If I had time to go somewhere else I would ve. I usually pay $90 for oil change and $20 max for tire rotation (sometimes is free if you get it done at the location where you bought your tires). Not happy about the experience. I will not go back. I guess they would rather get the most from the customers while they can. They should keep in mind that customer retention brings in higher revenue. Scamming only works once.

Work done: Break Actuator and Pump. Pros: Mechanic did a great job - another shop said they wouldnt even attempt to fix it! Got me in within a couple of days. Done on-time. Victor provides excellent customer service. Id use them again. Cons: Isaac tried to get me to sign the Service Agreement saying that Centric didnt diagnose the problem, so if the work they did didnt fix the problem, they were not responsible. He eventually took the clause out but took some arguing that they DID diagnose the problem. Felt shady and didnt leave me feeling great about the thousands I was about to spend.

They took the time to explain everything from the inspection report so I could understand, never pressured me to do anything I didn t want to now, I received text updates throughout the days they serviced my car and they gave it back to me freshly washed! I d definitely use them again the next time my car needs service!

I needed a BCM replacement on my 2015 challenger. This shop came through with the part, since it was back ordered nation wide. And with it they gave me a warranty on it. Definitely 5/5, will be bringing in my car again.

Worst customer service ever. I towed my car for a drive belt change, promised that I am 3rd in line, and when I called after lunch, they said that my car wont be fixed except the next day without calling me, and when I asked why, she accused me of being rude. I dare them to attach the call recording.

I called about my car and they said they would look at it for free which I was very thankful for. They quoted me an oddly high number, and after taking it to another shop he said that was not even the issue. The front desk guy who I assume to be the general manager was very rude when I said I will consider you but would like to get a 2nd opinion, he then insulted me saying it s right in front of you, I showed you what is wrong with it. After giving me back my keys he said he no longer wants to serve me because I don t trust them, he told me to not come back and basically called me rude for not paying them for the evaluation and that I should leave it to the other shop because it is rude of me to consider getting a 2nd opinion, after they said they would do the evaluation for free. This place should be shut down because if they are doing this to me I m sure it s common business practice for them.

Weve unfortunately had to bring one of our cars here for work multiple times. We found them when the dealership was going to take months for a repair. Our warranty works with Centric. They have been thorough and have been able to get all work approved. The repair work is done in as timely a manner as they can.

I took my car in for an oil change for the first time yesterday at Centric Auto Repair and it was the best experience I ve ever had at an auto repair shop. I was able to bring my car in right away. I was impressed with the courteousness of Victor, who helped me at the front desk. And, when I sat down to wait for my car to be serviced, I was also impressed with how clean and friendly the waiting room was, with nice classic country music playing, the bathroom, right there in the waiting room, was fresh, clean and beautiful. While I was waiting for my car to be serviced, there was a small sign saying the shop offers free drinks and snacks of peanuts for customers. I couldn t have asked for more. So, about 45 minutes later, the shop had finished with my car and I received my bill, I have to admit that it was a bit more than my my old place that I took my car to for an oil change, but then I thought of all the amenities that I received here that I didn t get anywhere else. Also they were so thorough checking over my old car and listed a few repairs that were needed in the future. On top of everything, I got a small discount because I belong to AAA, which the shop is also AAA certified, and the shop also washed my car, which saved me $25. So overall, it was totally worth taking my car in yesterday to try them out for the first time and so, this will be the only place I will take my car in for service from now on. They earned their 5 star rating from me and I don t give that high of a rating to any business.

Great shop! Took my vehicle in and it was diagnosed quickly. I had to miss a couple hours of work since the car wouldnt start or jump in the morning, so this was greatly appreciated! Got a few different options and got my car fixed same day. When I picked it up, it was very clean! That was a very nice touch Would definitely recommend and return again if needed.

I recently visited Centric Auto Repair for a car issue and ended up spending nearly $1,000. After the service, the shop discovered that the problem might have been covered under an extended warranty or recall by the car manufacturer. Lo, and behold, it was covered under a warranty! This was a significant oversight as the shop did not check for any such warranties or recalls before proceeding with the costly repairs. An auto shop should prioritize verifying manufacturer warranties and recalls to avoid unnecessary expenses for the customer. This lack of protocol has greatly influenced my decision not to return to Centric Auto Repair. I am giving a 1-star rating due to the substantial financial impact and the lack of due diligence on the part of the shop. This experience highlights the importance of checking for recalls or warranty coverage with your car manufacturer before seeking any repairs.

I needed an A/C recharge on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and could not get an appointment at my local dealer. In fact, the service desk at the dealer wouldnt even answer their phone. I am so glad I found this place. They have great customer service and got me in the next day. They got my AC blowing cold air again in a little over an hour. I highly recommend this place and I will be using their services again in the future.

I don t usually leave reviews; however, Centric Auto Repair has been the most helpful auto shop I have experienced since moving to Southern California. I don t know a lot about cars, but the whole team made sure to thoroughly explain the issues my car was experiencing. Jared at Centric was very professional and responsive. As soon as my car was towed there, he called me to let me know they would run diagnostic to figure out what was wrong. I had my car back in less than 4 days. Their communication is very efficient and service was great!

This place was trash. My AAA tow truck driver gave me a flyer from them and said they do same day diagnostics. That was a lie. Flyer said or 24 hour rental and that was a lie. They said my car has a blown head gasket and Im looking at over 4600, then offered to buy the car when I went to pick it up. Then when I left the car was missing the engine cover so I had to come back. I was going to bring my 2015 Honda hybrid here for Minor repairs but their whole system is garbage. Its a shame that they lie to get business.

The man in the office (Jared) was such a great and kind helper. I know nothing about cars but he actually took the time to explain things to me. The office was VERY clean as well as the restrooms, very impressed!

In my 46 years on Earth, this was the best mechanic experience I ve had. I needed a new starter and the turnaround time was quick , outstanding communication and very professional. I was referred to them by my tow truck driver via AAA, who dropped it off the night before with the overnight drop off. I m very grateful for the smooth solutions to my car troubles. Horrible. Held my car hostage for days without even looking at it. Charged an arm and leg to diagnose then quoted an outrageous price for a basic repair. Better off going anywhere else. Youll pay half and get serviced in half the time!

I came to Centric with a newly bought used LR Discovery from Carmax. I had heard some brake noise at the test drive and requested the brakes be checked. They said they did but within a week the grinding brake noise returned, so we went back to have it looked at again. Again they said they found nothing. So we called Carmax and aske about a third party inspection, and we were referred to Repairmax by the Carmax Customer service agent. I found Centric as a reputable garage close to my house. I went there and they were great. They took time to look over the car and explained what they found, and what they suggested. Due to a 30 day warranty provided by Carmax, we had to return to Carmax to have the work done... BUT Carmax did not take the advice at face value and wanted to re-inspect the car themselves before repairing the parts that the third party mechanic had already diagnosed... and Carmax missed 3 times. It took an additional 4 days an a visit by me to demonstrate the problem and finally have them agree to do the correct work. Centric had warmed us that a shady garage would try to pass off turning the rotors as sufficient to address the deep heat spots on all the rotors. They also advised us to be sore that OEM parts would beused for teh repair on this Land Rover. When we heard back from Carmax, the first thing they said was that they would just have to turn the rotors an the pads were fine. It took multiple calls to the service manage, sales manager and a request to meet with the GM before they would address our concerns. I wish we could have just let Centric do the work. They even did a new purchase inspection free of charge, before we went back to Carmax. They are courteous, honest and efficient. If I need any more work done I would use Centric again.

Phenomenal experience! What felt like VIP treatment is their standard. The public restroom was SO CUTE...very nice touch! Upon receiving the estimate of repairs needed via txt link (including images) they arranged an uber ride home AND an Enterprise rental car since my repairs may have taken 2 days. My repairs were completed early (1 day). Upon picking up my car WASHED AND VACUUMED (at no additional cost) they arranged for the return of the rental as well. I was also very pleased that they didnt try to upsell me after the initial estimate. There were no surprises maintenance wise. Everything was what it was! Oh AND I had my Granddaughter with me when I picked up my car and they gave her a new toy car and snacks! Victor personally transferred the car seat and stroller from one car to the other as needed. I forgot the stroller in the uber car and Teresa was very instrumental in helping me contact the driver to get it back. Victor and Teresa are delightful, easy going and genuine. Went to Centric for a Repair Pal warranty service (related to CarMaxs warranty service) as well as a routine inspection. They worked quickly, fixed the warranty-related problem, and even washed my car! Ill definitely be going back for my next service!

I was recommended by AAA to Centric Auto Repair and agreed to use their services. Victor greeted me and we got straight to the point about the problems of my vehicle. From then he offered assistance in providing me with a car rental in which Centric Auto would help for the first day. As Im contemplating my next move Im really starting to notice the cleanliness and organization of the shop in addition to Victors initial service and introduction on how Centric Auto conducts business with transparency and so the shop and the customer are always on the same page. Ive worked in the Hospitality industry for over 25 years and the service that I experienced here was comparable to the best service Ive received or offered as customer or a service team member in a fine dining establishment. The final pricing and the work done on my vehicle were fair and excellent along with a 3 year warranty on parts with all details clearly stated on the work order receipt. Thats the type of service I can trust and pay no problem. This is a What you see is what you get type of shop and I would recommend them to anyone. Centric Auto did a great job fixing my hybrid battery. They offer quality service and go above and beyond to help you out. Victor is very professional and extremely kind. They are honest and offer fair prices. They even provided a rental car for when my car was in the shop. Not only did they fix my battery and offer the rental, they even washed my car (detail wash - interiors as well). They provide outstanding service. A+ mechanic! I highly recommend them.

Victor was honest about repairs, he kept me informed of each detail, he was professional in our conversation. I really felt like I could trust him.

Very pricey. My suv was towed here on recommendation of the driver after the clutch master cylinder went out, simple fix. I ended up being quoted $400 for the repair (originally over $500). I decided to just have it towed home instead but they still charged me $150 for the diagnosis which any competent mechanic could have eyeballed in 2 minutes (not to mention I literally told them its one of the clutch cylinders). $50 to $75 for the trouble sure, but $150 is just too steep. On the positive side, staff was communicative and professional over the phone.

I love Centric because of their attention to detail on and off the mechanics shop floor. Not only was I asked if I would like to keep the parts they replaced but also offered a cold beverage, coffee and a charging port and cable unique to my phone while I waited for repairs they fit the work in just before close. I was a first time patron and don t live near their shop but hope to be close next time anything needs to be repaired on any of my vehicles. Also the Owner s car was amazing and is a show stopping dynamo that took everyone s breath away who was around and hadn t seen it before. His Wife was kind and strait forward about the work being done and billing and they were all around professionals whom I strenuously recommend to any and all in a 100 mile radius of their shop. If they can t do it I can just about guarantee they will know the person that can when it comes to customs.
