Doral's Auto Repair in San Leandro

I had my ABS warning light and my traction control lights both on. I was very impressed by how patient the manager was answering all my questions. They were very upfront about my cost and the final price was exactly as they had said. I was able to take my car in and they provided me a ride to work and by the time I got off work my car was ready. I couldn't be happier and they have won my return business. 5 stars!

Very happy!! Called ahead to see if they were willing to work on my Volkswagen New Beetle, and they said yes and helped me figure out my issue. Will be going with them going forward!!

This is a mediocre shop, at best. The “service advisor” I dealt with the last time I took my vehicle in looked as if he had just rolled out of bed and came to work. While dropping my car off at 8 am, he even mentioned that it was “too early” and didn’t speak clearly (mumbled?) so I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times. I was then called by said “service advisor”, a couple of hours later, to inform me that I need new tires, and then started to mumble things about them popping and being a safety concern. After I showed concern with what he was saying, he back tracked and said “I feel like I’m scaring you, never mind. Your car is ready to be picked up.” 👀 WHAT?? The tech that did the oil change and replaced a couple of air filters, left a complete mess inside my car that I had to clean myself. I won’t be going back - they’re just frustrating to deal with.

I recently needed a flat repair on short notice near the end of the afternoon and gave these folks a call. On short notice, they were able to slot me in a get this fixed really quickly. In addition, just as something to note, they charged half the price as a similar repair I had to have fixed on a rental car on a vacation in Utah. The customer service was great as well… really friendly. I took notice and intend to give this shop a call for more substantial, future auto work I need done.

Everyone that’s ever helped me at Doral’s has been super helpful and very respectful. They explain everything that’s happening clearly and ask before doing anything. Ian was amazing at dealing with my insurance and made sure I was taken care of. I’m a customer for life!

They are very professional, but quite pricey. I went in because I was hearing some unusual noises from my vehicle, and they quickly pinpointed the issue, which was impressive. The diagnostic fee was $160, which is reasonable, but worth mentioning. They identified that the center drive shaft was the problem and quoted me $1,600 for the total repair. I decided to shop around and found another shop that is currently charging me only $500 for the exact same job. I hope this helps clients in the future being that you are the ones who matters

I can honestly say I would never use your establishment again. I brought my car in for a diagnostic inspection, check in around 140pm, waited and waited and waited and when I ran out of time I ask the counter person to give me my car back because after 2 1/2 hrs my car was not done. When I told him I wanted my car back as I was out of time and asked what going on, he said one second. Then 10 more minutes went by and another worker came out and I asked him for my car, he said they hadn’t even run the test yet cause they were waiting on a gas cap as mine was cracked, which they could have told me before ordering it or when I first bought the car in 5-6 days prior. I would have told them I didn’t have time for that and someone should’ve told me that. The second worker says ok well we won’t charge you for the gas cap but weare charging you for the test I didn’t even recieve. And didn’t even offer to have me bring it back when I did have time. So essentially I paid $250 for a gas cap. So if this is the level of service I can expect from Doral why would I want to come back?!?!

I recently took my car to Doral’s Auto Repair shop, for repairs, and I couldn’t be happier with the service! The team was professional, and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the issues thoroughly. Not only did they fix my car quickly, but it’s running smoother than ever.
