I was taking my car for service to this place for years last time I spend 1200 dollars for many things after 3 months I noticed that my oil was low I went to the places I talked to a guy think his name is Soan I ask if they can check for me he refused to do, I went to a mechanic shop behind this place the mechanic told that I was low I went back to wheel works to talk Soan and I left my car there for 2 day and they didnt have time to check it I took my car and went to a different place .... I hope Mike was there he is very helpful.

Made the appointment online. They let me know that my car needed a repair and was able to get it done within a few hours. Friendly service and didnt feel pressured to complete all the recommended maintenance services.

This location was perfect for me in the morning when I noticed my tire had a nail and the air was low. Hoping they would help me (obviously charge me) and unfortunately upon arrival was immediately turned away because I didn t have an appointment. Well based on previous reviews doesn t matter if you schedule an appointment because they don t help on the appointment time either. It s not an office gentleman of Wheel Works, it s a tire shop. Emergencies happen and a decent individual would be willing to help a walk in, it s not like the services are going to be free. Hope this changes in the future.

Dont come here unless you are a willing sucker. My wife liked this place because there is no line. The reason is obvious. Mike there quoted $500 for changing 4 spark plugs. I asked why that much? He said his shop takes 3 hours to change 4 spark plugs. The bill turned out to be $504.72, of which $324 was for labor and $180.72 for 4 spark plugs. I confronted Mike that a few Youtube DIY says it takes 40 minutes for my made and model, and many sites said that a skill mechanics takes 30 minutes. Their expert mechanic would take 3 hours? Now, Mike changed his time, and said that his mechanics spent hour and a half changing my spark plugs. He gave me a $50 discount. I asked him how much his shop charges per hour. He said he did not know. He had to ask someone else. I telephoned later and asked the same question and he still did not know. Those same 4(four) 97506 spark plugs sell for $54.94 at Amazon and $60 at Walmart. That is a mark up of almost 4 times. Fair mark up? If the labor quote was for 3 hours and they did it over one and a half hours what would a fair resolution? Three hours was a lie! A1 Auto in Fremont quoted $262 for spark plus and labor. I had to pay Wheelworks $454. I heard that they match other peoples prices, may be just for tires. No, they did not on this service. Was that good value? Vung Tau charges half as much as Wheelworks. Even Fremont BMW charges much less. Predatory pricing and very poor value for your money. They charged me $324 for 30 minutes of actual work and marked up their parks close to 400%. You still want to come?

This location service is better than some other locations. The store manager is experience and doesnt give customers hard time. I have experienced bad customer service from some other location. This store manager gave me a fair price, not the best but acceptable for replacing all 4 tires. As far as the actual service on my car, they took one hour longer than they said, totally 3.5hrs instead of 2.5hrs. The manager was not present on the day of my car service.

They are always so friendly and helpful, whether it s with an appointment or a walk in issue. We trust their recommendations and we are always treated well.

Mike helped me order my tires. Came in the next morning and had it installed and got a wheel alignment. Everything went good with no issues. Another gentleman that was in front was also very helpful. This is the only wheel works i goto!

I ve (my mom as well) been a customer of Tires Plus/Wheel Works for more than 10 years. Not only did they finish my car faster than estimated, Sean also reminded me that part of my service was under warranty. This resulted to a surprise savings. My car is running well. Apparently technicians dont have the time to hear customers concerns over phone and have too much work to go back to. If thats how such they appreciate customers, I would rather find some place else.

Scheduled an oil change; First, they tried to say my appointment was half an hour later than it was, even though I had the confirmation email. Im assuming its because they didnt want to look like they were running as far behind as they actually were? I came here because I was going to use the $30 promotion they advertised on their website. The guy at the desk wanted me to sign at the pinpad before telling me the estimate, and when I asked he was going to charge me for $110 because it was the recommended oil? No thank you. Wait time came to a bit over 2 hours. I came here because it had good reviews, but Im thinking that may only apply if youre a guy. Other than trying to get bamboozled, the staff was polite.

Scheduled an appointment for 11 am for a wheel alignment one day before the appointment. The day of the appointment, arrived on time with the car. Was told it would take 1.5 hours, so decided to wait around since 1.5 hours sounded tolerable. 2 hours later, had no ETA of completion and the car had not even been started. Dont schedule appointments if you dont have sufficient staff. Or at least give more accurate wait times. Wont be back.

I go here for most of my car needs. They are helpful and knowledgeable. They even helped me look for a gps tracking tag on my car without a second thought. I really appreciate these guys!

Quick on time as promised.

Mike the cashier is rude, unprofessional. Upfront tells me there are no appointments for the day. I replied I didnt ask if there were appointments for that day. Alex another cashier rep took over he was friendly and provided good customer service. I come back on the scheduled day, Mike again has an attitude tells me to come back in 2 hours for an alignment. Okay, I come back Mike is attending to a customer he hands me the key and tossing the paperwork, speaks to me rudely and out loud Your Welcome!! I ask him wheres my vehicle his reply, look for it. Go elsewhere to get your tires down unless you want to be mistreated.

I want to talk about the customer service. Mike the old ugly white guy is always so rude and always with an attitude all the time I never complained bout him but now I will Im aware Alex the Manger is on a vacation but once he gets back I will be complaining bout my issue or Ill contact their headquarters that white old man Mike has very bad customer service I called to see if they do timing chain replacements and he basically rushed me off the phone and was very rude once I told him if he hangs up on me Im going to complain to Alex and he just started laughing. That man has to go because hes always so sarcastic and acting so fake. Please do something or I will take this to corporate.

I called to see how much an alignment cost and also. Availability appointments, guy said no And hung up.

My mother got an alignment here twice. She had just bought 4 brand new tires and each time they STOLE one and put a more used one, totaling 2 tires stolen, as well as broke the driver seat. Thieves and dishonest, dont risk it. Not worth it, just go somewhere else.

Very bad costumer service, you go to get one thing done and they want to sell you all kind of unnecessary things, Mike even lied to me telling me that my tires were about to blow out and that he could even see the wire I ve kept looking for what he saw didn t find anything when I went to my usual tire place a couple of days later they told me that it wasn t true my tires were fine. but in another ocasión during the oil change maintenance they didn t mention that I didn t had any coolant causing my car to overheat , today when I took my daughters car for an oil change I asked Mike that during an oil change maintenance what are they checking for other than the obvious filters, and he answered everything under the hood, than I ve told him about the coolant in my car and he gave me the most irrelevant stupid answer saying that if my car was overheating that s something I ve should had mentioned and I ve said yeah you too science you re looking for everything during regular maintenance especially something so simple as the fluids I m very scared for leaving my daughters car there today but for sure I m never going to this shop again and I just hope there s no retaliation on my daughters car because of my argument with this Mike guy

I don t know what it is, but Mike is always in a bad mood. His customer service is amateur at best. I ve read other reviews with similar experiences with Mike and I ve seen him give clients the cold shoulder. To the point where customers ask if they re being a bother. I have been bringing my four vehicles to this location for the past 10+ years but will begin to no longer. He tried selling me a piece for my tire after breaking it at the shop for an extra $160, like c mon? It s not the first time I ve dealt with his service, but I am over it and understand things won t change at that location internally, so I rather take my business elsewhere. Alex is a star, however! Such a shame.

Alex just assures you a 5 star experience. Just go there and be done with your worries!

PlCed 4 tires on my sons car 2 tires in my spouses car wheel alignment all because the other Wheel works didnt want to see us after convincing us that the extended warranty was a good idea so in good faith we did, it s been Mike and the team at the S Capitol store that has taken care of my family now once again my son is in Reno they put him off till next Wed to get in for a patch and once againMike and his team is bailing us out it s been a rough few months but I ll tell you I am thankful for this store and the team they have serving us. Needed new sensors got my tires, I called and made appointment. Dropped it off as scheduled and the work was completed on time. Service was great from start to finish.

They forgot to change/fill oil. Asked for Alignment and oil change. Next day before hitting the road to LA, checked the engine and saw no oil at all in the engine!! Had to revisit, fill oil (hopefully they did change filter the day before, not sure even). Next time when checked my oil, saw the tip of the oil dip stick was bent and by next check broke in the oil tank. So now have to check all around to find replacement, which some are not original part. Costly visit overall. Expecting better service after leaving my car whole day.

Been a customer for 30 years and overall company customer service has declined, but I had a wonderful experience. They definitely took care of me and my vehicle.

I made an appointment, thinking I was going to get fast service, but when I got there he told me that it was going to take a long time that there was 2 cars ahead of me, they open at 7 am, I made my appointment at 7 am so I thought to my self how can there be to cars ahead of me and they lied to me about my brakes saying that they were no good anymore so changed the brakes myself and there was still a lot brake pad left more than hff half

I took my car there last minute to get my flat tire fixed. I told Mike that I had to coach a basketball game in 45 minutes. He was on it has his crew jump on it asap and got me out of there in 30 minutes with a very small charge! A week later I took him a car that had a window that would not roll all the way up. Mind you I took it to the Honda dealer and they said they could not do it. They recommended another place and they said they could not do it. Took it to Mike and he said no problem and had it done in 4 hours!! Mike and his crew are awesome!! This is my go to place for now on!!

Mike is a bit surly and rude at times. Just trying to get a little detail into how much time a nail repair might take, because not everyone has mommy and daddy to pick them up or money for Uber, he gave me nothing but a bad attitude. He was the guy who told me on the phone to bring er in, in a manner as if they arent busy, when in reality, they were slammed and I wouldnt have even driven over there in the first place. Details matter, Mike.

It was an unexpected expense on my behalf but I have to commend that Wheel Works never ceased to disappoint! The quality of work was well invested and it was repaired in great timing! Thanks for your service.

Came in for an alignment for my free lifetime alignment. Left with a unwanted fluid check and they over filled my oil. Great job guys. Stop selling services that are not asked for!

They are amazing took them 20 minutes to give my truck an alignment test drive it and they gave me recommendations and they told me that my warranty for my alignment was good for one year. Most importantly they said if I had any suspension work done or if I did it myself I can come in and get a free alignment as long its under warranty for the year.

Bad service

I took my car her when i needed a tie end replaced and these guys are great. Straight forward itemized bill, with no useless tacked on stuff. Started doing all my regular maintenance here and they do the work fast, as well as take detailed notes so they remember what you need on subsequent visits. But what really sets them apart is that they fixed my busted glove box that some dealership mechanic broke years ago. I didnt even ask them to fix it, they just did it while replacing the air filters i assume. They didnt even tell me they fixed it. So Im writing this to praise these guys for not only doing great regular work, but for going above and beyond and not even seeking praise for it. Its just an all around good place.

They are my go to place not only for tires but for other mechanic problems on my cars.

Prior service:O experience. Replaced 2 tires, can wait on the other two tires. They even put license plates on my car. 10 out of 10 experience. Update: I have had good service here but I am disappointed at the latest service. I scheduled an appointment over a week ago for Friday and when I got there they said they didnt have any appointments. They said they were booked until 7 p.m. I had him look up my n.mthe appointment. I had a tire blow out when I hit a pothole. I think they took in too many paying jobs without regard to my appointment. The free alignment was included in cost of the tires that I had purchased prior. I for one wont go back.

I went there because my car is making an annoying noise for me. I didn t want to go dealer cause the prices. short story they told me they found the problem 2 inner tied rods ( $567 ) with oil change So until now still have the noise. I went back 3 times I ve talked to Alex the manager so he give up with me and my problem so now I m paying $500 dollars for nothing cause I still have that noise. Wish me luck after paying that money I ll try the dealer instead thanks for reading.....

Whats the point of making an appointment if you have to wait for at least 2 hrs to get your car Wheel Aligned!? Oh Well I bought the Life Time Wheel Alignment few months ago and thats how they honor their existing customers! I just hope Costco Tires adds Wheel Alignment to their Tire Installation Package so I can avoid Wheel Works for good and for all! Ridiculous! Until now 1.5 hrs and the car is still parked outside!

Stay. Away. Took my car here for a synthetic oil change. I then had knee surgery and the car sat in my driveway for months. When I went back to driving I noticed a lot of oil leaks under my vehicle. After checking the dipstick I was surprised to see I was below safe levels and almost completely out of oil. I took it back to this same shop and the manager said they were going to take a look at it. An hour later I am told they placed some sealant and that I should be good to go. I drive home and place some cardboard under my car just in case. Not even an hour later I noticed that the car was still leaking a significant amount of oil. After taking it to a different shop I was told the oil pan was bent (from what it looks like wrench marks) and that the bolt was stripped. Their repair was to place sealant around the bolt which did not do anything. All said it and done I had to have the oil plan replaced, and the oil change re-done. A $70 oil change here ended up costing me over $500 in repairs. Read the other reviews here and you will see similar situations.

We (family and friends) used to come here for maintenance, service, part replacements. At that time, the front desk guy called Tri is nice and courteous and the jobs were done quickly, efficiently...., however, about 6 months ago I came for the oil change. I had an appointment at 11:00 AM, and left about 2:00PM(about 3 hours waiting in the lobby). They nailed my car by hoisting it up and leaving it there. Mike (the front desk guy) kept saying My guy is slow. Actually the guy who took care of my car disappeared into the room after hoisting my car while the other 2 guys were working very hard(I was standing at the back so I saw everything). In short, I am scared to death of coming back here again, and other Wheel Works locations.

customer service. Showed up 45 minutes before closing to have them check 1 tire (slow leak)... front desk guy says they close in a half hour after talking nonsense for 15 minutes with the person infront of me and that it would be a 2-1/2 hour wait. Then I asked, going take 2-1/2 hour to check my tire and he got all flustered and yelled What do you want me to check out? My tire you dip... I had to walk out. I didnt even want them touching my vehicle..

I went there to fix one of my new tires, there was a puncture , I ended up to change the filter and something else, and paid more than I expected , the question here , why the guy checked the engine, I didnt ask for that , and I had to wait for more than two hours and arrived to my work place an hour and half after my actual time, which caused me some trouble .

THIS IS HOW I GOT MY VAN BACK TODAY AFTER A WHEEL ALIGNMENT. THEY DIDNT SAY A WORD TO ME ABOUT THIS.

Alex has been great. I had issues at another visit where my tires where not set to the proper psi after tire rotation and also there was limited explanation about condition of tires, etc. Alex was made aware of it through their company survey I submitted and apologized at my next visit (car #2l for someone elses mistake. If you can visit during the week as they get busy on weekends and there will be a wait time.

I ask how many Wheel Work Techs does it take to balance and rotate tires efficiently??? I get the call my car is ready. However my tire setting was not updated after the job and no one knew how to do it. So I figured I d go to the other Wheel works off King Rd. Which is down the street from them to set up. Do you think they fixed the problem? NO. My tire setting is still flashing after I was told drive 15 minutes and it ll set. And get this while I was at the one off King, they noticed that the original wheel works off Capitol who did the job to begin with had rotated the tires but didn t check the pressure and all my tires were off because my cars recommendations are front requires less pressure than the back. Where is the work ethic and the experience necessary to do the job that could potentially cause accident or worse death???

And so the glad that I found Wheel Works! Got a great deal today left very happy!

Amazing services, efficiency and price. My girlfriend and I traveled from LA. We stayed in Airbnb in San Jose for a night and have the ticket for Alcatraz cruise at 8:45am. We planed to leave San Jose around 6:00am and I found my left front wheel was flat when we about to leave. I pumped the air in and drive to the store ( the only wheel store open at 7am on Saturday!!!) I explained my circumstances to the store manager Alex 10 minutes before the store opened and he checked the tires for me immediately and changed my two front wheels within 20mins!!!!!! We finally able to get in the cruise on time!!! Definitely a 5 star.

Made an appointment to have 2 tires mounted and balanced. Very reasonable price. I was givin an 11 am or an 11:15 am time to arrive. I chose the 11 am and was on time however it took 2.5 .... yes two and 1/2 hours to get my tires mounted while I was waiting in the lobby. I asked what the holdup was and was told only one tech was working and the rest were at lunch. ???????????. Why did I make an appointment that was clearly ignored.

The first time I went here I was very happy with my experience. The second time I went back it was a less than positive experience. They have a waiting room with cable tv and free coffee. I felt like they were not being honest with me about the pricing. I wanted to buy a tire and then the manager was discussing with another employee she agreed to pay that price already I didnt feel like he was being fully honest. Like maybe some people are getting different prices? I ended up going to Costco instead because I felt like they were more straightforward with me.

I stopped in on my way through town with a tire ballance issue. Alex got me in an on my way despite being really backed up. They were friendly and the place was well kept. Recommend using these guys.

Extremely friendly and they try to get you out quickly. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because they dont protect your cars interior. My car has a light grey interior and the seat, floor mat and door frame has grease marks. Most places use plastic seat covers and a paper floor cover and clean gloves.

They were very nice and had a better price than Costco for what I needed.

Quick Service: went in for an oil change without an appointment on a weekend at 3pm when I dropped my car, luckily it was done by 3.45pm
