‼️‼️IN SHORT DON’T DO UBER INSPECTION HERE!!!! ‼️‼️‼️Yesterday, I came in for a car inspection for Uber. The guy did everything but wrote down the wrong state certification number and then corrected it. I uploaded the certificate to Uber, but they rejected it, saying the number had been overwritten. I came back today and explained the issue, and I was told they couldn’t redo it because I have a dent on the fender and need to go to a body shop. I said, “But here’s the document—you did it yesterday and marked everything as fine.” The guy started raising his voice like I was deaf, saying he couldn’t help me because he wasn’t on shift yesterday and it wasn’t his responsibility. Long story short—don’t go there for an Uber inspection. To the owners: get your employees in order so they know how to fill out paperwork properly, and talk to the staff member who was working on 04/07/25 at 10:30 AM. Terrible service.

I called the shop to inquire about car inspection availability and was advised to come in for a walk-in appointment. The customer service was exceptionally helpful, and the inspection process was completed swiftly. I appreciate the convenient text message notifications that provide updates on the progress of my car work. Thank you, team!

I had an unrepairable flat tire. Pep Boys had a replacement tire in stock and installed it for a very fair price. They often run oil change specials which bring it down to a very reasonable price.

I honestly did not trust Pep Boys because of their reputation for so many years. The story and capital location in San Jose had a staff that was very disciplined, knowledgeable, and unafraid to go above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I am actually going back Wednesday to get a bearing changed because those guys were actually honest mechanics. Sounds like an oxymoron, I know. Stellar performance on their part. They have my business until they show me otherwise.

Great customer service, the staff and the technician were very friendly. They covered my car's leather seat and the steering wheel, so my car's cleanliness was preserved after the service is done.

i ordered tire online and made an appointment with San Jose Shop on Story Road. I showed up online and Pepboys Employee Bacon helped me with the replacement of the tire. Bacon was very friendly and great customer service. Highly recommended this shop for your tire needs

AVOID. The people who help you are trying to sell you a tire. I went for a tire rotation and alignment and they told me I had issues with my tire so I need to get a new tire to get a rotation.. I went to 3 other stores and they said I don't need to replace my tire lol. If you want to spend more money then you need to then go here. Go to a reputable local tire shop. They don't care about helping customer problems, they just care about selling a tire.

I had scheduled an appointment on Wednesday 11/27/2024 at 1:30pm for my tires to be replaced. The check in process went well, but when I returned to pick up my car. I noticed my rims scratched up and had some grease smeared. My vehicle was serviced by Zoe. I reported to the pep boys employee Daniel. He informed me that the manager wasn't working. To come back Saturday(11/30/2024). when the manager is present to resolve the issue. I will update if my rims were taken care of or not.
