Safelite AutoGlass in San Jose

With 2 customers connected to their wifi, the speed is less than 2mbps download and 1mpbs upload. My hot spot is 4x faster. Excellent customer service. After the tech (Vietnamese dude) returned my keys, he waited for me to pack my stuff and held the door for 20 seconds. All 3 people at the reception desk are helpful and professional.

I've used Safelite 4 or 5 times for auto glass replacement. They've always done an acceptable job. I have a friend who owns a high end body shop specializing in high end cars. He has his issues with Safelite but is the first to say he can't come close to their prices because he only installs factory OEM glass and just tells me I should use them. Recently my daughter's car was stolen and when we got it back two broken windows were part of the damage to the car. It was located in the east bay and we think used in a sideshow. The car was totaled by the insurance company but we bought it back and are fixing the car on the money we received so we have a budget. 20 days after replacing the drivers side and front window my daughter informed me there was a 12 inch crack in the front window starting from the middle bottom and she had no idea how it happened. Worst possible scenario for us. We'd already spent a good portion of the insurance settlement and we sitll have a couple things to repair. Safelite does have a warranty covering defects and faulty installation but I thought it was going to be a long shot getting this repaired under warranty. I called and they said bring it in and we'll take a look. The agent came right out and inspected the window and said it looks like a stress crack, no impact damage, we'll replace it. 2 hours later I drove home with a repaired window covered under warranty. From my experience Safelite is an honorable company that does good work at a fair price. What else can you ask for? 5 stars.

Great, new location! Right next to Costco. Attentive customer service, easy appointment setting, quickly seen, fast front window crack repair, no hassle. Definitely recommend!

Speedy and super friendly service!

We dropped the car off at 7am. Then received a call a few hours later saying they ordered the wrong part (2nd time this happened, first time they ordered the wrong part at Safelite Union City) and that they did not know how to repair the windshield. We have an FJ Cruiser with a snorkel and they don't know how to remove the snorkel. Safelite in general is a joke. They are only good at filling in little cracks. But any repair beyond that, Safelite is a terrible place to go. Don't waste your time. Terrible customer service, they give you the runaround, super frustrating.
