TEPEKE TRANSMISSION in San Jose

I had this shop put in a new transmission for me, they did not communicate the additional charges to pay with credit ($200) and when the transmission quit on me 5 months later they ignored my requests for warranty work. DO not get work done at this shop, they do not value loyalty or care for their customers, just the money. Victoriano is a friend of my father's friend, which is why we felt safe going to his shop to get the work done. I will admit that I gave some attitude when I found out about the extra charges that were not communicated, but all owners should be open to taking customers feedback. My dad has reached out to the owner multiple times with no response for over a week. My husband will attempt to reach out today to see if he gets a reaponse and I will update this review accordingly. I will attach screenshot of the text messages that were sent from Victoriano to validate my review, since I am being threatened with being reported and they have no record of working on my car. If no response is giving, I will be filing a complaint with the California bureau of automotive repair. Update: My husband finally got a response from Victoriano, they are going to look at the car. I will update and hope I can change my star rating soon. Update: Tepeke received our vehicle and repaired the transmission. We will get to pick it up soon. I will update as needed, but I'd like to thank Victoriano and his crew for their hard work.

Victoriano's been stealing all the bikes across Silicon Valley! This shop needs to go out of business asap

Awful service getting my transmission fixed, slow and job was not satisfactory. Come to find out there’s an article published by a national magazine detailing how shop owner has been stealing bikes on a massive scale and shipping them to Mexico. Not surprised.

Rebuilt my Toyota Pickup automatic transmission. Did a great job my truck was in and out of the shop fast. I recommend this shop to all my family and friends. Thank you Tepeke!

I brought my pickup here last summer and Victor did a GREAT job rebuilding...fast and great price. I just came back for brakes and fluid changes, again a great experience. I know quite a bit about cars...and i have never been happier with a mechanic! I drive all the way down from San Francisco for service that cant be beat!!

Bought a 2006 F150 with a rebuilt transmission from Tepeke (4R70W). Transmission was “just” rebuilt. Transmission looked painted and new so I took the word of the seller. I put 300 miles on the truck before I lost reverse gear. Bummer for me as I didn’t want to do the transmission. Took it apart myself, as I’m a mechanic, and it had the bare minimum done. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is the seller probably asked for the bare minimum to get it moving again. Reverse band was metal to metal on the rear planetary. I know they didn’t replace it because the new bands have date codes. Personally if I’m going to attach my name to work, I complete all the work.

Transmission worked perfect and the shop stayed open late on christmas eve for me. Cant complain

Literally just dropped off my 04 Chevy Tahoe z71 Thursday night and it’s now Saturday same week on my way home with it! Truck is shifting great their shop was clean! Everything look so organized I gotta give them 5 stars!
