Deceptive, Dishonest, and Disgraceful – Avoid West Market Transmissions If I could give negative stars, I would. My experience with West Market Transmissions was nothing short of a scam — and Alberto was the main culprit. He promised my mechanic a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty before the work began. That was a key reason I agreed to go with them. But once the job was finished and the money was in their hands, Alberto casually changed the deal — suddenly it was only a 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty. No heads-up, no agreement, no consent from me. When confronted, he gave a weak excuse about not being able to get the right parts and basically told me and my mechanic to live with it. That’s not just poor service — it’s bait-and-switch fraud. Alberto’s word means absolutely nothing, and if the person running the show can’t be trusted, then neither can the business. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. There are plenty of shops that do honest work and stand by their word — West Market Transmissions is not one of them.

Shout-Out to West Market Transmissions. My daughter’s transmission went out 150 miles from home. She had it towed to the local Volkswagen Dealer who replaced the transmission cooler ($3100 bucks, ouch!), but the transmission was also bad. They wanted almost ten grand to replace it. Told my daughter to look up a local shop. She found West Market, and they quoted her $4500-$4800 to rebuild the tranny. Alberto and his son were helpful and honest folks. A great local shop not looking to rip people off and take advantage of a young lady. Thanks Alberto, for your professional and kind service. I have a special spot for small honest auto shops, as my Dad and Grandfather ran one for 50 years. When I walked into Alberto’s shop the smell of oil and grease brought back great memories working with my Dad and Grandfather, 40 years ago. Thanks again Alberto! Jeff

Fair, Reliable, and Reasonable: West Market Transmissions is my go to for transmission work. Alberto was very helpful in diagnosing two different fluid leaks in my '09 Jeep Wrangler (a rear main seal and a rear differential pinion seal). He worked with me to repair the leaks in a very timely manner and at a fair price. He stayed in communication with me about the repair process and shared his knowledge about other items that were better to address NOW rather than down the road for more money. Thank you Alberto!

Wow! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this business! We are from out of town and it's hard enough to find good service on a given day, let alone when you're in a city you know nothing about. The care and concern they had for the issues happening with our RV was seriously unparalleled. After having gone to another local shop where they didn't even do a diagnostic before insisting we needed a brand new transmission and radiator, we decided to try West Market Transmissions for a second opinion.They were thorough and explained everything to us every step of the way, and saved us a ton of money in the process. Honest pure and simple... he would have stopped at the problem only costing me a few hundred dollars where others would have taken advantage. With the high miles on my vehicle I told him to continue and do a complete rebuild.. Perfect with a warranty.

Took my truck in on a Monday morning with transmission problems, got a phone call on Wednesday evening with all of the repairs finished. Awesome customer service. Albert is a very nice guy! Highly recommend.

Honest and fair priced, took my truck in for a full transmission rebuild . I told them that I was in no hurry and they can take their time, Albert called me two days later and said it was complete including a pretty lengthy test drive.
