Firestone Complete Auto Care in Salinas

I showed up at 7 am with no appointment because i got a flat tire on my way to work, abraham and his team got me back in the road in less than an hour! Great service!

First off I had an appointment at 8:00AM, received a reminder text and email. I was there at 7:45, they couldn’t find the appointment. They said they would get me in. I asked for an oil change and replacement on a TPMS sensor. They informed me they would need to do a diagnostic and charge a fee for that. I stated they didn’t need to diagnose it, I had and even if it was working per their diagnostic, I wanted it changed. They said they would still need to charge the fee. I declined that service. So on to the oil change. I had informed them I was waiting. They said they would call me when finished. At 1 1/2 hours I saw my vehicle pulled to the side of the building but no call. At the 2:15 mark I asked if my car was finished. The counter employee searched around for the paperwork, ask me to give him a few minutes then called me back up. He said he it had been filed wrong and checked me out. Nothing about the car, I wasn’t even sure the work was completed. He said it would be emailed.

Terrible experience from the start, the advisor wanted to upcharge the tire price aswell add the warranty without my consent. After paying well over $1,000 for my tire service i left with a damaged wheel cause by the tire shop! Manager was rude with assisting the wheel issue, and now im left with a damaged wheel. Please be advised for the Salinas, CA location!

I went to do an oil change in March and a few days later my engine cover came off because it was not screwed on correctly. I ended up having to take it to the Honda Dealership to get it replaced. I called Firestone and spoke to the manager and he stated I could take my receipts to him and he would refund me the money. I took him the receipts. One was for the part I had to order, which was the engine cover, and the second receipt was for labor. He ended up refunding me for the part but not for the labor. He stated I should have taken it back to Firestone to get it replaced and I told him I was not going to risk it again since it was not done correctly the first time. The engine cover coming off ruined my vacation because we had to come back home mid way. I had to pay out of pocket for a mistake Firestone made.

Complained of vibration when vehicle would reach 70 mph. They recommended an alignment which i did. It did not fix the problem. Then they said new tires with a tire rotation and rebalance would fix the problem. I asked, why even have me do the alignment if they knew it wasn't going to fix the problem? I said, fine, i'll buy the tires, but i already paid upfront for the alignment, is there a deal we can work out? They said no. I took my business to their competitor, American Tires. I scheduled an appointment with them, and they had a welcome sign for me and my vehicle. They took care of my vehicle's problem and now i have superior tires.

Excellent customer service! I was heading up the freeway and noticed that one of my tires felt odd. I checked the pressure and noticed that the suspect tire was well below normal. The team at Firestone took care of this for me late on a Sunday afternoon. From reception to service to check out, everyone was friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you !

I had an enjoyable & good experience with this Firestone location, right off 101 and easy to find. The staff was great, friendly, and assisted with the process of submitting a claim for rental vehicle approval to replace 2 tires. The approval process took a good deal of time, yet the staff (I apologize that I do not have the names of the 3 guys that helped) worked with the rental claims office over and over to which it got approved after the fifth iteration in the process. This all took place on a Sunday, and it was Father's Day. Thanks again for the great service.
