Costco Tire Center in Salinas

Very bad service ; there’s no point of making an appt they will still take their sweet time for a rotation and balance 4 hour wtf?! Incompetents.. flat tires 5 hour wait .. cotsco needs to do better I hope they the replace the whole team including management.

TONY from costco tires in salinas he was really professional and knowledgeable. It was a long time waiting but he was always really responsive and caring with customer service. He went beyong to help me. Good experience with tire center, thank you to Tony.

Horrendous service. Yea prices are cheap. However, if you get a flat it's obviously unplanned. They have already made sale off of you. Anyhow with a flat and as a walk in you dropped car off at opening they called one hour prior to closing if I was lucky which means they had my car from 9-5 for a flat to repair a nail in tire. My other experience was broke bolt the one for lug nut. I was on my way out of town getting a new set of tires. They wanted to order parts keep my car until whenever. I'm sure wanted to charge for that too. Thankfully my husband is handy and we ended up doing it ourselves that night and was like nah your not keeping car. Costco warranty itself if good. There just is almost zero customer service in this dept. They really should consider a cross cover position that can handle flats first and when time can help other tire specialist. From here on out I'll continue with Firestone tire for all my vehicles. I have 7 and two kids with there costco cards so you have lost about 10 people from my household ie. Parents...

Great service, prices and care after purchase care. Destroyed my new tire on a curb in Reno, (impact damage from a curb), and they helped me arrange for a new replacement in Salinas, two days later. Costco has a hazard warranty which exceeds Michelin warranty; new tire installed for $58…..all with great service. What’s not to like?

This was my experience with this Costco location. I purchased my tires online, I also made an appointment online to get them installed. I was not able to take my car on the scheduled date so I called a few times the day before and there was no answer. The phone would ring a dozen times before it would redirect me back to the automated machine. I tried it a few times and nothing. The day of the appointment I tried it again a few times and nothing. I tried it the day after and nothing. Two days after the appointment I had to drive to Costco to reschedule my appointment. Someone was at the front desk so everything went smoothly. I was able to reschedule my appointment. The rescheduled date comes and I take my car to costco. I get there and there is no one at the front desk. I waited for about two minutes and then I hear the phone ring. It rang many times and no one answered. Five minutes later another customer walks in and apparently he had been waiting too because he went all the way to the shop to knock on their window. Finally a nice lady comes and helps me out. From there everything was great with the exception that they left my wheels really dirty. For a bit there I thought they had switched them up because they looked scrapped, but then after looking closely I realized that they had used some type of paste to install the tires. I have gotten tires installed in the past but they have never left my wheels so dirty.

Always professional. Always a fair price. They run a super clean shop! Buy the tires online have them installed at the store. Very convenient and the service post install is impeccable. Rotations and balance for life of the tire including road hazard fixes. What’s not to like!

The supervisor is rude. Went in for my tire rotation and they refused to rotate my tires stating “it’s been too long”.. my last rotation was 7500 miles ago. he said “we’ll let it slide this time” with a condescending tone. This is the last time I’ll ever go to Costco for tire rotation, I’ll just get my free one at discount. At least they don’t make up fake rules about miles driven between tire rotations. That’s not a thing. Educate your employees and retrain them on customer service.

Great service. Very courteous and prompt. Highly recommend. I was there almost at closing time and they put on the new tires. Went out their way to be helpful to another customer who had a question. Will buy there again!
