America's Tire in Salinas

This place is decent for tires based on price conscious people but the recommendations that sales rep make are not very well thought out. Tire shops are in rubber of business to ease everything from your tires to your pocket. I purchased a little high end tires for longevity because you get what you pay for. I would make a visit again but not for 5-10 years to come

The Salinas, California location on Main Street offers outstanding customer service. The staff members are highly knowledgeable and ensure a quick and efficient experience while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.

First time here Saturday morning had an 8:30 am appointment for two new front tires balanced and did an alignment out pretty quickly the guy at the front service center was very friendly very helpful the best price I found and I made a few calls to other places! I have 77 miles on the new tires now The ride seems great so far will see! All in all good experience so far

I had an awful experience at America’s Tire this past weekend while visiting Monterey from out of town. Unfortunately, one of our tires blew out, and the rim cracked, forcing us to purchase all new rims and tires—a $3,000 expense. From the beginning, the service was a disaster. Every time we called to check on the progress of our vehicle, we were told the time had been pushed back. This continued until we had to return our rental car, leaving us stranded outside the shop with our two young children and all our belongings. We were told our tires hadn’t been delivered, only to later see staff pull the tires out of a stack that had clearly been there all day. When I asked about the manufacturer warranty on the previous tire, the employee ringing me up showed his complete incompetence. He was dismissive, condescending, and incapable of answering my questions. Instead of addressing the issue, he kept repeating irrelevant information, completely ignoring my actual questions. It was painfully obvious he had no idea what he was talking about, and his condescension seemed rooted in the fact that I was a woman asking questions about cars. To make matters worse, my husband overheard this same employee making explicit and inappropriate comments about me while in the bay area. The entire experience was insulting, unprofessional, and frankly infuriating. I was clearly treated poorly because I’m a woman, and this employee’s lack of basic knowledge about his job only made the situation worse. He knew nothing about my background or level of competency, and yet treated me with disrespect, which is completely unacceptable. For the amount of money we had to spend, I expected a far higher level of competence, professionalism, and respect. I would never recommend this location due to their gross incompetence, lack of communication, and outright disrespect toward customers.

They have always been consistent until today. Saturday October 12th. I came in to use my warranty in regards to damage on my front tire. When I left there is a clicking sound in the area of the front tire. Also they sent me off with my tire pressure one with 38 psi and two with 30 psi and one with 32 psi. My car had not been making any sounds prior to the visit. I am concerned they messed with my car. They can't do anything about the problem they created as stated by employees. The employee who drove the car to me said oh that noise, yeah it is coming from the tire but we tested it so we can't do nothing about it.

My husband went in 3 months ago at the very end of March and purchased 4 brand new tires as well as the warranty for the tires. Fast forward to this month of July. Our 2 front tires are completely bald on the inside and are showing the silver lining already. My husband went in to a different location and was told that the tire warranty does not cover tire wear and tear due to alignment issues. It says on the Americas Tire website that select locations, including Salinas offers a free tire alignment check which was clearly not done on our vehicle or we would have purchased the service to align the tires had we known it was even an issue. Nor was the service even offered to us. So over the course of 3 months we spent over $1300 on tires unnecessarily. I called the Salinas location and was only offered an apology, but was told there was nothing that they could do. We have never had any issues in the past until now. I’m extremely upset and disappointed because of the carelessness and negligence of the employee/s who helped us in Salinas back in March who did not do their due diligence or offer the free alignment check which resulted in us spending over $500 on 2 brand new tires and a new warranty for the new tires within 3 months of purchasing new ones. If you go to Americas tires you need to be your own advocate and not trust the “professionals” who are trained and get paid to service your car. I have attached a photo of one of our tires. As you can see it’s a completely brand new tire aside from the alignment damage. I’d recommend going elsewhere to a company who cares about their customers and or is more knowledgeable and offers more than an apology when the negligence of their own employees costs you over $500. An apology doesn’t fix the issue and with inflation as it is, not many families I know can even replace their tires for the first time let alone afford to replace them for a second time within 3 months of buying tires

Purchased my new tire from Americas Tire. Salinas staff was amazing keeping me in the loop throughout my online order and made sure that my tires were ready. When I arrived for my appointment, there was a sign with my name and no waiting to get my car started. What a great touch, you feel special. : ) I waited longer than I expected having an appointment but it was ok for me as they had friendly and honest employees which is very important. Highly recommend Salinas Americas Tire.

At 5:30 pm on a Friday I discovered a screw in my tire. I called Costco Tire and they couldn’t guarantee they could help me today so I called America’s Tire. Casey picked up the phone quickly and said, “Head on over! We will get you taken care of!” When I arrived I was welcomed by a professional team in a clean and well staffed store. Casey and his counterparts: Kai and Sal, got me in and out with a repaired tire in 30 minutes! And to top it off they would not let me pay for the repair! They just said, “Please come back and use us when you next replace your tires! Incredible service! I will definitely be back to America’s Tire! Thank you so much!
