McBride's Auto & Smog Center in Salinas

Do not take your car there they are. Thief They want to charge Two Different diagnose on the car and I never seen the diagnosis for the first time 120$ My friend think they are Good I say they are Horrible

I LOVE TAKING MY CARS TO McBRIDES..THERE ALWAYS SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE A CLEAN COMFORTABLE WAITING AREA THAT HAS A COFFEE MAKER, T.V OR MAGAZINES IF YOU'D RATHER READ WHILE WAITING....AND THERE PRICES ARE SO MUCH MORE REASONABLE THEN OTHER MECHANIC SHOPS....THANK YOU McBRIDES

It's hard to find these days a honest mechanic shop yet my first interaction with McBrides just shows there is people still in this business with integrity. I brought my 2019 Denali Canyon for a 76k first break and possibly rotor replacement. I later received a call that rotors defiantly did not need to be replaced or resurfacing. On top of that I had around 35 to 40% brake pads remaining. The shop could have easily replaced the pads since I would have never known 70k plus milage pads needing replacement. The shop didn't even charge a inspection fee. So it's nice to know McBrides treats there customers with honesty and not replacing items not needed. Will give them as much business and referrals as possible. Jason

My Dad Milton Cullum & Richard went to high school together many many moons ago lol. My Dad always spoke highly of Richard, and when he had to put his car in the shop, McBride's Auto is where he took it. I have taken my own vehicles to McBride's, and got a good price & good work done. Definitely recommend....

I originally started going to McBride's because I was having a difficult time finding a garage that would do a smog check for my '97 and somebody recommended them. Now we take all 3 of our vehicles there and I have been very happy with their work and customer service.

Needed my thermostat replaced and the weather was bad so took it to McBrides. They took me right in and got the job done at a reasonable price. The mechanic took time to talk to me about my car and give some pointers which I really appreciated.

Horrible horrible experiences the last 4 visits for repairs at this place....my car runs pristine for 7-10 days after works been done on my car and back to the same old problems. It's a very draining and expensive bill for not ever fixing the problems. I could just give them money and leave without repair...same results. If u want to waste ur money and time and still not repaired correctly at all ...then this is ur place.
