Excellent Google Review for the Workshop: We had an accident with our RV, and the awning was damaged. It was hanging dangerously, and since we had to drive to Los Angeles the same day, we needed to get it removed to safely continue on the highway. We came to this workshop even though they only had 30 minutes left before closing, and Larry immediately stepped in to help us. In just 30 minutes, Larry removed the awning and carefully sealed everything with silicone to prevent rust. He truly saved us from a stressful situation. We had expected to pay a lot, but Larry only charged what was absolutely necessary. His work was incredibly professional, efficient, and clean. The exceptional customer service really stood out: Larry even tested our battery as a bonus, something we didn’t ask for or expect. He went above and beyond to help us. As tourists driving a rental RV (like from RoadBear), we could have easily been overcharged, but Larry was completely honest and fair. If you’re traveling in an RV and encounter any issues, especially if you’re renting from a company like RoadBear, I highly recommend stopping by here. Larry and his team are lifesavers. We’re so grateful and wish them all the success they deserve!

We have done a lot of work as Monterey Mattress Gingerich-Built with Economy RV Salinas, as well as private Clients. We do not refer anyone anywhere without the upmost confidence because our reputation is it also. This is my go to place.
I had a blow out on the 101 headed to laguna, changed the flat, but had a decent amount of damage underneath and decided also to replace all tires. Found economy RV via Google, and so glad I Did! Troy and his team were able to get me taken care of and took care of my trailer as I left it for a few weeks till I could pick it up. He gave me fair pricing and was to accommodate my busy schedule in picking it up. Prices are fair considering that it is a niche segment, he's straight forward and doesn't give or want bs.
We are living in our RV for an 8 month trip and we needed our propane checked for a possible leak. Troy took us in as an emergency and checked our rig right away. No leaks were found, but he loaded us up with tips and tricks about our unit. We are happy we stopped in for service and we feel that Troy was honest and fair in his pricing. We would definitely recommend Economy RV to anyone needing RV service or repair.
Troy is an absolute lifesaver. We had an issue with our van conversion propane fridge and he was so helpful and informative. Would recommend 1000%. If only we were staying in town longer I'd have him to so much more to our van! Thanks again Troy.
Fantastic RV service shop! Our water heater died on a Sunday, while camping in Salinas area, and Troy was willing to come in to work on that Sunday night, just to help us out! Our water heater was fixed in less than an hour, and we were on our way! These guys are the best! Super knowledgeable people, reasonable prices, good stock of parts, and great old-fashioned service!
Troy and Gene are the best! We broke down with our loaded gooseneck trailer when we were trying to get out of town to head back to Texas and no one in town was willing to help except Troy! And he got us right in and spent all day repairing our trailer and getting us back on the road, had it not been for him being so kind and helpful my driver would not have made it back home in time for his daughters wedding! Troy we appreciate the great service and I will recommend your shop to anyone in the Salinas area if they ever need great trailer repair service! It is a breath of fresh air to know that there are still people out there that pride themselves on great service like Troy does!
They were able to help me in an emergency I cant say enough good things about them
Gave a referral to another vendor who could help right away. How nice!
All American! Couldnt help me identify Bilstein shock but was still helpful and courteous. Thanks Troy!
The owner of this place and his two cats, Winnie & Bego (lol ) gave me the best lesson on maintenance and use of my propane system! Since I am a newbie, these lessons are sometimes a bit painful, as they come AFTER the fact.... But this man was the hero of the day, and I was able to enjoy a warm evening in my House and for that- I thank you, sir!
Always helpful, cant go wrong.
I cannot tell you how many places I have taken my trailer with no luck of ever getting everything fully repaired. I am so beyond thankful for Economy Rv. They finally got my trailer back to better than ever. They combed the entire trailer and fixed every broken, missing, and inadequate part. I came with a hydraulic jack that wouldn t work. I taken it to two other shops and paid a substantial amount of money and never had it fully repaired. Finally, when bringing my trailer to Economy Rv they fixed the problem at its route and it works better than ever now! They also help me identify some other inadequate parts on my trailer and replace them to make my future with this trailer even easier. Top customer service! I truly cannot say enough positive things about this place. They will forever be where I recommend people to take their trailers for repairs and where I will continue to take mine for as long as they ll take me!
Friendly service and great prices
Good service and repair and Troy was a cool dude
Cant say enough about this place I dont remember his name even if I got his name this is someone that everybody should want to meet very nice guy thank you for the part God bless you
After I describe the job, yea I m gonna pass on that buddy click...
I hesitated to share this review, because I wanted to be absolutely certain before I besmirched someones professional reputation. I also want to be fair to Troy and so, the first time I took my trailer to Economy RV in Salinas, it had a leak in the roof, and the support for the A/C had broken. Troy & gang, to their credit, seem to have performed that repair well, and though I dont know if $2,700 is a good price on such a repair, I paid it without batting an eye. The problem wasnt what they were tasked to fix, it was with their sloppy work, damage to other components, subsequent lies, and refusal to stand behind their work. During this visit Troy and gang killed my interior battery, damaged the face of my A/C unit (right in front of me), and shorted out my interior lighting. They refused to fix any of their mistakes. At first he said hed fix the light short, and when I brought it back the first thing he did was a test on the external battery right in front of me, and it tested perfectly fine. Later, after they clamped the tie-down to the positive battery terminal, grounding and blowing the battery out, he tried to convince me that I brought it in that way. Really dude?! As if Im so stupid that I wouldnt believe what be both saw with our own eyes doing a test on the battery. Were talking about a $45 battery, folks. I paid $2,700 without raising a concern. I replaced the other interior battery without a word. I let the broken A/C face go even though its still not fixed; do you really think I give a damn about $45? Nope, folks. Its the principle of the issue. Since I had him dead to rights, having tested the battery as I dropped it off, I wasnt going to let this one go. I wanted him to do the right thing and accept responsibility, and ultimately he refused to do the right thing on it or on the repair of his companys mistake. To top it off, he wanted to charge me $360 + parts to repair the interior lights that his shop shorted out!!! Id had enough. Troy lied to my face, killed two of my batteries, damaged the face of my A/C unit, and shorted out my interior lights. 4 new problems I didnt have when I brought him the trailer in the first place. Theyre called economy for a reason. The work they do is cheap, and not just in the financial sense of the word. After a few more months, I finally had the time to get to work on the trailer myself, tonight. I waited to post the review until I found the direct cause of the short. I removed one ceiling panel and when I removed one of the screws holding it in place, the short was gone and the lights came on nice and bright. Basically, in their sloppy work replacing the ceiling panels, they pushed a screw through one of the wires to a light and shorted it. I think he knew he was screwing me over, based on his outright lies about the external battery. But either way, the fact remains that he failed me in multiple ways, failed to stand behind his work, lied to my face about the exterior battery when we tested it together, and then got a condescending, disrespectful attitude about how much he knew better. Well Troy, maybe you do know more, maybe you dont, but either way, I fixed your F-up tonight. Im satisfied that I didnt let you charge me to repair damage you caused, and if Id found something other than your responsibility, Id never have posted this review. So, potential customers, if youre going to ignore my review and take your stuff to him, at least be smart and remove your batteries... lol. He will kill them if you dont. 2 dead batteries in 2 visits is a perfect 1.000 at bat. If you go, you should definitely do a walk through of the functionality of every component on your trailer or RV that works, document it, and make him sign off on it for responsibility before you leave, too. Economy RV is not so economical after they break your stuff.
Great place for RV repairs at reasonable prices. Have been fully satisfied with all their work.
I had economy Rv repair to replace 2 U bolts on the axle of my enclosed race car trailer June 13,2019 a simple fix Troy the owner words as the job was complete he charged me $546.75 after find out I wasn t a local resident I would not recommend this Rv repair to anyone I ve contacted the BBB & the state commissioner about this price gouging
Great service
Our MH was fixed in 2 hrs, very fast service and helpful staff! Thank you!
Helpful staff. Always finds what I need.
Great people. I am an inexperience camper owner and I thought I has issues in the propane system of my VW Eurovan. After another shop stood me up when I drove all the way to Salinas, they conducted a quick inspection and determined my system was operating within limits. Since the inspection did not take long, they did not charge me. Will return for all my RV needs.
The Slide-out of my TT broke in an open position on Sunday morning of the Labour Day weekend. It was at the first stop of of my 1k + mile trip from BC to SoCal. With the help of a fellow camper, we managed to push it back in and secured with a strap so that I could move on. I got Troy on the phone the next morning while I was still in OR and explained my problem to him. Since I could only estimate my ETA sometime before noon, he was nice enough to made allowance for me. I got to his shop just before noon. Dropped off my TT and went out for lunch. Troy and his staff set to work right away and it was fixed when I got back. He only charged me the nominal 1 hr labour and even threw in a couple of bolts for my spare. This is excellent service. I know my local RV shop would at least make a 2 week appointment for anything needed done. Id recommend Economy RV to anyone who needs work done to their RV.
Troy went out of his way to help me. Also, I would highly recommend for warranty work.
Troy has a lot of knowledge about RVs. Thank you for your time today Troy! I would recommend Economy RV!
Love them!!!! We had a horror story repair done on our living quarter horse trailer slide out, while we were in AZ. We made it home to CA and took it to economy RV, hoping to fix the problem the other guy CAUSED! I was nervous to take it to another shop (since we had just gotten ripped off, and damaged parts) but as soon as you arrive at their shop you know its a good, honest, knowledgeable place of business. Good vibes!! They kept us posted on the repairs via phone the entire process, and were SO kind and helpful. If I could give them 10 stars I would. We will be back for any other kind of issues we may run into down the road. Thank you Larry, Troy, Sharron!!!! Quality employees = quality work!
Excellent service, great people, know what theyre doing. I came in with an emergency situation on my generator. I had just accepted a position where I need to live in my RV and a working generator is necessary. Economy RV repaired and serviced my generator on an emergency basis once they understood my situation. I needed to start work the next day. They had me on the road and traveling to my job within about 3-4 hours. They are very courteous and knowledgeable. They even gave treats to my dog. I highly recommend Economy RV.
So polite and accurate. Dick.
I tried to simply talk with them on the phone with one of the used vehicles and Troy hung up on me. I really wish they didnt waste my time trying to hide problems with it and then hang up when I ask a few questions.
Very knowledgeable and thorough. Highly recommend for anyone with an RV or trailer
I have to say the best around. They took care of me and got it done. I am more than pleased with the customer service. Thank you!
Troy, Sharon and Larry and the woman who opened the shop are the best, including the cute sheep hearding dog lol..the dog even let us sit at his table with only a few minor looks every once and a while just to see if we had moved on. We borrowed a friends rv and lets just say we had some minor body damage in the left back corner, right front corner and the step was sticking. The team worked us in first thing in the morning, explained everything in detail and did an awesome job, I dont know who all worked on it other then Larry but their were two other guys who were very friendly. Sharon made us feel at home and engaged in small chat, from everything from dogs, fires and you name it. My wife and I would definitely recommend Economy RV. The customer service and friendly atmosphere sets them far apart from the competitors.
Excellent, excellent service and Troy and his coworkers are SO helpful and nice! Wish we lived close so they could be our go to guys!
Mr Lopez. I am sorry you had such a horrible time but I believe the review you left was for another business. We do not have any record of ever having a customer by your name. We would be glad to assist you in your RV repairs though. Please feel free to contact us through our website to clear up the misunderstanding. Thank you.
