Alvizo's Transmission and Auto Repair in Ridgecrest

Roberto saved me when my transmission stated going out on my way to Death Valley over the holidays. I turned around at Balaret and drove back to Ridgecrest and found Roberto. I was able to swap out my transmission for another and Roberto went above and beyond. He changed the main seal in the engine that had been leaking for years and now oil leaks. He is the best for your transmission and I can't say enough good about him! Don't use anyone else in Ridgecrest.

Roberto helped us out so much when we broke down just outside of Ridgecrest. He replaced the clutch on our car and worked hard to get us back on the road as soon as possible as he knew we were living in our car whilst travelling. We were so grateful to have broke down here just to have his help in fixing our car. So friendly and very professional, he went above and beyond for us, we would recommend his services to everyone.

I can't say enough about how amazing Roberto is! My alternator broke in Death Valley and we called him up on a Friday afternoon hoping to get it fixed. He said come over, and within 10 minutes the car was up on the lift and he was working on it. He finished the job within a couple hours and we were back on the road again. His rates were very reasonable too. I can't recommend him enough!

We were on our way to mammoth when our car broke down in Lone Pine. Called Alvizo and he was open on a Saturday. We told him we were an hour and a half away. He stayed open so he could work on our SUV. We were pretty sure it was the fuel pump. He had one delivered to his shop from Palm Dale. He installed it, but unfortunately it didn’t work. We had to spend the night in a hotel, which he dropped us off at. Alvizo had another fuel pump brought to his shop. He woke up early on a Sunday and fixed our car. Very reasonable pricing. Amazing human being. Definitely recommend if you need service in that area. 10/10!!!

Roberto is amazing! We broke down on the way to death valley (our transmission) in our imported Ford Transit van conversion and Roberto really helped us out! He let us stay outside his workshop until our parts arrived and even invited us out with his friends! He went above and beyond with his generosity, friendliness and mechanical skills

We broke down on 395 the transmission needed to be rebuilt the labor cost was higher than normal but expected for a small town. The problem was they left out a gasket. Also the seal on the transfer case was bad I know the transfer case is not part of the transmission but it mounted to it and they should have caught the problem. bottom line is it cost me $500 additional dollars to have the missing gasket installed and install a new seal while the had it a part. So just beware!

Absolutely first class experience we had with Roberto the owner! We were on a road trip with our 1985 Chevy Motorhome and just before Ridgecrest the transmission broke down. Roberto truly made our day here! In just 6 days he managed to completely overhaul the transmission (From initial diagnosis to test drive). And in addition, we were able to stand with our motorhome next to his workshop the whole time, where he provided us with electricity, water and sewage connections. So we could save ourselves to take a hotel for the time of the repair and could super fast (for a transmission repair) continue our road trip. Thanks again for this great experience!!!

This place is the best in town. The owner is excellent and takes care of his customers. He was the only shop in town that would do an engine swap on our Hummer H2. We were going through a hard time and he saved the day and got it running in two weeks. I highly recommend this shop for all of your vehicle maintenance and repairs!
