Brought in for TPMS diagnosis, alignment and tire rotation. Had to reschedule, and they did not catch that their TPMS service provider is not in on the day they rescheduled me for. On the way home I noticed something on my windshield. Turns out they opened up the brake fluid container, left it open and the trim panel up on the cowling. They are also recommending an oil and filter change (just had that done last week). In December I went here to have tires replaced under warranty, and they told me they'd fix it without any out of pocket costs, then after the tires were installed they wouldn't give me the car without my paying >$300 for a new warranty. I'm now on my third Wheelworks location, as many of my cars parts and services are warranted through them. Very inconvenient.
So the Manager Carlos over charged me for an oil change and alignment. I simply asked him to check out a signal error got charged for something that wasn’t fixed and his excuse was that wasn’t his problem. After doing my own work and investigating I found it thanks for wasting 7 hrs of my time. After the oil change my car isn’t running well. Don’t let wheel works touch your vehicle.
Wheel Works is lucky to have Dulce working there! I needed a hard to find tire that 5 other places told me would take a week. Dulce not only found the tire, but had it on my car in less than 24 hours. In person she was all of the things you wish you had on your staff!
Pleasant experience and apparently sincere effort to work with me to get best value for quality care on my 10-year-old car. Staff members Ahmad, Dulcie and Adrian were extremely helpful. For nine of the past 10 years I have owned my Subaru, I have brought my car to Wheelworks, and except for a couple of brief periods when team members who were only at the location briefly, I have received consistently great service.
I went in for a follow-up alignment and when I was told other things that needed attention, I was told I needed a new cabin air filter, when I did not. I change it myself and know it was like new. The attendant didn't even know where the cabin air filter is located on my car. I surmise that no one even checked it, and if I was a less informed person, they would have scammed me out of something I did not need. Bad business practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing team. They happened to have the tire I needed and within 10 minutes or so, the service was completed. Competitive prices and wonderful staff. Highly recommend it.
Carlos was great and I took my wheels in to have tire changed and balanced. Another shop did my other high-performance car and at 70 mph I have vibration; The guys as Wheel Works did an amazing job of balancing the tires as there is ZERO vibration. The cost was reasonable, and I recommend scheduling ahead of time as they are busy. I am going to take my other car there to balance the rear wheels to see if it is the tire or the wheel that is causing the oscillation.
I needed a quick tire repair and was impressed by the speedy and excellent service I received. Dulce, the service advisor, stood out for her exceptional customer service and attention to detail. It’s evident that she plays a crucial role in managing the team effectively in a fast-paced environment. Kudos to Dulce and her team for delivering such high-quality service. Thank you, Wheel Works
They were able to accommodate me, they were able to price match, and they got the tires on in 30 minutes. Have done business with Wheel works for years and they are always able to deliver value. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Service was professional, courteous, and punctual. I was informed of ETAs and hiccups beforehand so I didnt have any surprises. Thanks, Dulce and team!
I had a bad experience of racism from an employee of this store. He is a man with a white beard. I asked him if he spoke Spanish and he answered that we are in the United States and English is spoken. This situation is very outrageous and I am publishing it so that people realize the type of people who work there.
Great service for the last 10 years and big shout out to Ahmed who always does a great job. Thanks again to all
I went to the wrong store and they got me right in and I was very happy. I will never go anywhere again.
They keep me rolling straight!!!!!
Very helpful and professional staff. They remembered me and went above and beyond to address my issue.
Fast, efficient, friendly!
Very bad cerbicio I drove my car and they swept out the hole in the oil pan and I thought they would fix it and they charged me for the pan and the work and the person who attended to me on 1-9-2024 is still angry
Provided great customer service and explained everything throughly. Will definitely be coming back.
Folks resolved my problem within a day, including spare parts delivery. Timely, fast, set reliable expectations on the timing of the service completion. I m thinking of scheduling the next annual service with them, not an official dealership who told me that my car was good and the problem popped up 5 days after that Thank you!
The whole team was the best. Been coming since 2002 and everyone here is still running a great business
Awesome customer service. Offered solutions and waited for me to make an informed decision. 5 stars.
The people working the front desk in this location dont know the difference between a tire rotation and an alinement.
Had to come in for a battery change when I was on a time crunch. They did it fast and was a quick turnaround! Thanks!
I came here about 6 times to try and get my work van aligned, they were making up things that were wrong with my van! If you don t know anything about cars please don t come to this place, they will try to rip you off!
The service here was great! Fast and exceptional. Big thank you to Dulce and Carlos for getting me in and out and doing a wonderful job at finding the best price and tires for my car. Definitely a great shop!
They charged me for the inspection, and never gave me the results.
Will never go here again. Went for a simple oil change and tire rotation. They tried to upsell me hard, it was very aggressive. First they said the tread on my tires was terribly low. When I went home I measured myself, not a single area was below 3/32, many spots are in the 5-6/32 range. The WheelWorks report had a 1/32 reading! and everything was 4/32s or below. They also wanted me to install new brake pads and rotors. I plan on inspecting my pads myself but the whole experience felt so sketchy. It took ~2 hours and 45 min for the oil change. My tires werent rotated because the tread was deemed too low.
Good customer service, on time
The team is very friendly and the service was great .
Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to WheelWork store! Carlos and Dulce provided exceptional service, taking care of both the alignment and balance of my tires. Their professionalism and attention to detail were truly impressive. Its rare to find such dedicated professionals who genuinely care about their customers satisfaction. I cant thank Carlos and Dulce enough for their outstanding work and warm hospitality. WheelWork store in Redwood City is definitely my go-to for all my automotive needs!
Had to replace a tire 2 months after getting all 4 replaced due to a nail on the road. They patched it up and fixed things in no time at basically zero cost
Fast and friendly service!
No appointments, substandard waiting room, 2 hours for an oil change and vehicle inspection which was done perfunctorally, carpeting upholstery not covered before mechanic entering the car, dirty disorganized shop, poorly trained mechanics assistant, The only positive is the coupon price
Excellent!!! Had a great experience and excellent recommendations on future maintenance with quotes to my personal email. Excellent all around!!!
The service was very prompt and courteous. I had forgotten that the front tires need to be smaller than the rear ones but Carlos was able to get the right tires and take care of evrything the same day with almost no delay.
Excellent service They helped me with everything I needed
I went for an oil change that it was supposed to be $30. I left 6h later paying $870. The manager called me twice with so many things that had to be fixed ASAP! Had a hard time explaining them. All he could say was fix it now or you will have to come back ASAP. Hard to believe. Never going again. Really bad.
So disappointed! I got my oil changed and the car care. I specifically called out to check my brakes-- and the guy said of course, part of the car care. They called (which was great) and told me that I had a running oil leak and I needed to go elsewhere to get this fixed. I again, asked if my brakes needed anything. They said that they checked the brakes and they were good. When I got the gasket changed, they also had to change the rear brakes because it was metal against metal. They mentioned that it was good that I came in because it was getting dangerous. They showed me what it should be and then showed me my brakes. UGH-- this means that this wasnt checked even though they said it was. I wonder if the oil was actually changed when they said it was...
They do not have professional ethics and they are not honest and the truth is that they were not clear from the beginning. They just charged us for the diagnostic disk and the truth is they did not do any of what we told them what work the car was doing. The truth is I do not recommend it at all. Because they do not know what they do, they just spend it guessing what the car has
The technician Amad (in Redwood City) was very professional and polite. He found the source of the problem and fixed it.Thank you so much.
Great service all needs were met
Dulce and Carlos helped me last minute i had a flat tire and they stayed a lil extra to get My car done ! Plus their customer service is excellent! Thank you , and i will be back for future car repairs.
Excelente servicio- fast service thank You wheel works
She was a very kind secretary who helped us and answered all our questions and helped us obtain the credit card so we could have a more comfortable price. She gave us the best service, thank you.......
The best part of coming in at 7:30am is to try and beat the crowds - which you can do. The only issues is that all 3 guys working in the bay took a 30min breakfast burrito break only after being open an hour. I typically eat before going to work - but I guess at Wheel Works you can make 5 other people wait and watch you finish up your delicious breakfast burrito. Other than that - the tires are filled with air and are not falling off so far.
Dropped off my car for a oil change and found my car was left unsecured. Key fob was left in the car, worker at the counter had no idea where the key fob was located when I arrived to pay and pickup. Car could have easily been driven away. Thankfully I only left my key fob, cant imagine the damage this could have caused if I left my house keys attached. Vehicle theft could happen anywhere and the fact who ever serviced my car was reckless to have left the key fob behind makes me question their quality of work.
My car wouldnt start and I had to have a friend give me a jump. Wheel Works was great. Checked my battery and at my request tested my alternator too. Got a new battery installed quickly and warned me about a Honda security feature that would lock out my radio until I entered a security code (I had that with my owners documentation in my glove box). Friendly and prompt service so that I could get back to work.
I can t give more than 2 stars as they forgot to verify the new tires pressure : 32 psi instead of 45 psi required. My car warned me only after a couple of miles (time it takes to reset the reading of the pressure gauge I guess) just before I started skidding when taking a 90 turn. I m lucky the road was dry and free of debris. Another clue that they didn t complete the job: the caps were missing. No hard feeling, just facts to motivate you to improve quality of service.
$85 to replace the low beam left-hand side of my Hyundai Elantra 2013 by an unlicensed technician who was not familiar with my vehicle and spoke very limited English. The original quote was $30 for labor. Bulb purchased separately for $20. Pricing is not transparent. Wait time is not as expected , and Unprofessional service experience. 2 weeks ago, I had the right low beam bulb replaced for $20 labor only, by a mechanic (Fred) in Mountain View (San Antonio/California). He quoted me $45 labor if it had been the left low beam. Save time, money, and for peace of mind go elsewhere for your automotive needs. P.S. I posted a review on the #wheelworks Twitter site, and I was blocked ( ) . They are affiliated with #Bridgestone.
Don t ever get brake work here. They did a bad job and had to bring my truck back. 20,000 miles later my brakes are bad again!!!
A very poor experience. Made an appointment for a 2:00PM tire rotation and alignment. Arrived at approximately 1:50PM to provide enough time to check-in and complete paperwork. At around 3:15PM or an hour and a half after being onsite, I noticed my vehicle had not moved from its original parking space. When I inquired about estimated time of completion, I was told the shop was busy and my car would be pulled in around 4:00PM or two hours after my schedule appointment. My only other option was to return the next week. I ended up leaving as I had other scheduled appointments that afternoon. Below are some actionable feedback based on the terrible experience. 1) Stop taking appointments if times cannot be honored. Reading between the lines, it was hinted appointments times are more a well try but make one at your own risk 2) Communicate if the scheduled time cannot be met. People are generally okay with rescheduling as long as its done so promptly so other arrangement can be made. 3) Set expectations at check-in. At no time was a backed up shop or estimated completion time provided. Had the information been provided upfront, I could have rearranged my day. 4) Once again, communicate. If a customer is seen sitting around after an hour, provide an update. Being left in the dark and having the customer try and piece the puzzle together is very frustrating. At no time should I have been the one to chase down information 5) Update your systems. I was shocked so much is still being done with handwritten work orders. Having consulting in the auto industry, the move toward computerized systems was set in motion a decade and a half ago. Newer platforms can manage capacity, automatically provide updates to the customers, alert service advisors when something is overlooked, reduces human error, and cuts overheads costs due to increased efficiencies. A last piece of advice. Whomever installed the computer system made a mistake. The laser printer is plugged into one of the battery backed receptacle on the UPS (uninterruptable power supply). Laser printers should never be plugged into an outlet that draws power from the battery. It should go into a surge only port. Continuing to use this misconfiguration can damage the printer, battery, computer, and other devices on the UPS. The hint is the UPS alarm going off right before the printer starts a job.
There was one mechanic there that made this whole visit worthwhile. The reception person was despondent, and very uninformed . Now thats frustrating.
Worst service ever. Don t know why I went back. Hoping things would have changed. After 8 hours to change 4 tyre s work still not completed. David is the worst person to deal with and I would never go back because he just gives excuses and lies instead of saying I am sorry I messed up. I wish I had read Winston s and other 1 star reviews below. And while driving my car is wobbling on the road since wheel alignment and wheel balance was not done after committing and confirming that it would be done.
It seems that Latinos are ignored and the guarantees that one has for one year do not even make them valid, they charge you more and serve with very bad character, I had an appointment and when I arrived they told me that they had already filled out and they could not attend because first those who pay come out; (
They never open on time. It is 7:28am as I write this message and they open at 7:00a.m. The service is fine, their time management is unreliable.
Checked in with David, whom said his mechanic would check my spark plugs and spark plug wires, came to pick up my car few hours later, David said his mechanic checked my spark plugs and wires and that the spark plugs and wires were perfectly installed, wrong my car was misfiring and turns spark plugs and wires were installed incorrectly David said that the spark plugs were installed correctly but that I had a blown head gasket, and charged me $110.00 dollars for a bogus diagnostic, David and his crew of mechanics are a bunch of crooks, took my truck to another shop and the other shop said my spark plugs were installed incorrectly and wires were crossed,David lied to me to make a commission told me I needed a new motor, wrong again David.
Hello, my name is Josue, I would like to express my sincere honesty in customer service. I want to bring this up because I would like to see a difference in customer service and staff accountability. I have a complaint due to the unprofessionalism, I requested an alignment and didnt get it even after trying for two or three days. I even made an appointment and yet didnt get done. I dont understand why staff is so irresponsible to supply a service that is demanded from a customer. I also noticed the unprofessionalism of getting the job done, there was another customer who was getting a refund due to the inaccuracy of getting what she asked for. By the way, these comments are for a supervisor! Please take action and avoid losing clients.
I should have, seeing the terrible Google Maps reviews, not ignored my better judgement, and gone to Wheel Works for service. I should have gone elsewhere instead. After requesting a tire replacement, and Wheel Works performed such a tire replacement, my car has now become rather wobbly to the point of feeling motion sickness while driving. It even felt better while a spare tire was in use in comparison to now. And after informing Wheel Works of this, and going back to them to fix the issue, they keep on saying that theyre unsure how long itll take to diagnose the issue - that they know they messed up, but that theyre busy. Honestly, Id avoid the trouble of going to Wheel Works in the future, and go elsewhere if youd like your car fixed or serviced.
I honestly don t understand these reviews. Jose at Wheel Works saved a whole trip for us by getting me in right away on a Sunday, finding a screw, replacing the tire with a full size spare (my tire was not available anywhere in town), and back on the road all within 2 hours! He was SO kind and a TOTAL problem solver!! Thank you, Jose, so much!
Manager is clearly a misogynist he manage to insult both me *and* my wife. While pressuring me into a 3 year wheel alignment package (what the heck do I need THAT for?), he said that the car may need a re-alignment during that period if my wife ran over the curb. My wife is actually a very good driver and never runs over the curb. Maybe *his* wife is a horrible driver, but its insulting that he assumes *all* wives are. Then he said we needed significant brake service (4 rotors and a couple of pads), quoted a cost of ~$1500. I went outside, called my regular mechanic, and verified that they could do the work for much less. When I declined brake service, the Manager thought that I had called my wife -- so, as part of pressuring me to get the brake work done, he had the audacity to insist that I, as the man of the house, should be the one making all the decisions about our cars. Yet, as man of the house, I *had* made the decision to not use his shop for brake work. In one sentence, he had insulted both me *and* my wife. I was firm about declining the service but did not show how ticked-off I felt. I was not happy, not happy at all. I dont plan to return to this Wheel Works location unless there is a problem with the alignment they performed.
I showed up in an emergency because this was the closest location, even though I had lousy experiences with it before. Unlike previous visits, the staff was courteous and competent. They did the work within a reasonable period with a good attitude, kept me informed, and did not try to sell me any services I didnt need. I think it must be under new management.
Fast, Good Attention. A little expensive but understandable
I am so grateful to Mike for his excellence in service. I brought in my car earlier and the damage to my tire had not been corrected. In fact, the lovely woman at the desk noticed that not only was there a nail, but also there was a slash in the tire. So he recommended immediately that I get a new tire. I am very grateful to Mike for handling this challenging situation, which could have been dangerous for me, and helping me find a solution. Thank you!
Nice people..work was done fast and good price !
They treated me very badly, I dont recommend at all, people dont go there.
Cost more than expected. Did not follow through on promise to check my primary concern. Staff unmasked indoors.
Never again this place, my husband was waiting for 2h just for patching one of the tires Ahmed arguing with him with me when I called Services
After coming in for just an alignment and being told I needed work that had to be done, I was charged three times the price of the parts for steering work, tie rod ends, for a total markup of $260, just for the parts. This is after being told that they dont get their parts from OReillys, literally in the same building, because they are too expensive. In fact OReillys, and even Mazda, charged a two-thirds less as I later discovered. Further, the car was taken apart before the parts arrived and I was essentially held captive for hours while the part supposedly came from their supplier--across the bay, when Id been told it would only be another hour when I approved the work. Worse, I was initially told it was the tie rods themselves, and in fact it was only the tie rod ends, meaning my quick phone search to check the price was rendered useless, as the ends were about half the price. A complete outrage to charge such a markup, and I dont think the labor charge was fair for the time the work would have taken.
I been going to this location for years and taken most of the family cars but NEVER had an issue until today!!! I come in to drop of my car for an oil change 20 min later I get a call to go back and pick up my car!!! They didn t have any oil !! What in the world didn t have any oil and the service manager (Asian man) still said nobody told me that we where out that s why I took your car!!! Honestly this is pathetic in all angles !!! He couldn t even apologize instead he said come back tomorrow!!! Hmmmm yeah NO! you have have lost my service !!!
I took my mom here and they messed up her lug nuts still charged her, you guys do horrible work and your horrible people.
I went because my tires were under warranty and I just needed one repaired. I bought a full set from them a few years ago and was happy with the service. They wouldn t honor the warranty. New staff? They claimed I needed four new tires. They drove off in my truck to go get replacement tires they said would be delivered. I almost called the police when I saw the mechanic leaving with my car. Needless to say I left when I got my car back. And will never return.
I called to schedule an appointment for a full service on my vehicle. When the person answered I began to ask him about it and he hung up on me. I thought it possibly was an accident so upon calling back the phone rang several times then picked up and hung up again tried several times and the same thing happened over and over. This store will not get my business or recommendation. Person to person is the best and worst advertisement!
Very nice guys. Courteous
They try to give the customer a good discounted deal
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. You may get low quality work and be ripped off, like me. I came in with a simple job to swap tires. In the end, I was met by rude staff and shoddy work. I paid extra to have the TPMS system reset on my car. The next day the light goes on again. I bought a small tool from Amazon and confirmed they hadn t reprogrammed the system at all. Then I found out my tires were all set to different pressures. Maybe if they had spent more time working on my car instead of having long personal conversations in the bay after I had paid and still waited 15 mins before they finished, it wouldn t have happened. They also up sold me for a brake job where they flushed the brake lines. When I got home and checked my records, a flush had been done just 20k miles earlier. You only need that done every 60k miles AT THE MOST. Don t come here if integrity and quality service are important to you.
Thanks Mike, Ryan and Rivas for your help!
Bought new tires but bad customer service, waiting time really bad, scheduling cancellations several times and auto service bad too. Weel works bad store, not recommended at all :(
In and out. They pride themselves in knowing people have things to do. I highly recommend getting that Wheel Works card, very useful. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and be stressed.
The worst place in Redwood City, don t spend your money here!!very bad service
Stephen and his crew they were great they change my tires so quick very good services and good prices
But the least
Good service
Nice team
Rude and unprofessional.
Good service and professional.
Very bad service today
Total amateur hour. Had an appointment at 9:00 am, they still hadn t started at 10:30. When I called they told me that couldn t have it done until noon and acted like I was the one who was being unreasonable. Oh, and they re also $50 more expensive than the shop who ended up mounting my tires.
Good workers
Poor customer service. Will never recommend this place or drop by again. Lost a customer
Service is great if you get there early.
I took my car there to get a tire fixed etc... I was told it will take at least 1.5....it took longer....when I picked up my car, there was damage to my door (I wont go into details) they didnt want take responsibility and I was bullied outside (3 guys came out) as I showed an employee the damage. I DO NOT!! recommend this place to anyone
I took in my car for a valve cover gasket replacement and in the middle of it they had called me. Said I needed to replace the aluminum screws for the cover and gave me the price of $80 (x3 the amount I can get from another store). I said yes, because I needed the car done. After they gave the car back to me, I drove home and opened up the hood. Found they forgot to reinstall my cabin air filter.... Do not come here. They charge you more than the average amount and dont bother to completely finish the service.
Super fast and excellent services for great price points. The gentleman I met here were helpful and knew what they were talking about. Will be coming back!
I called on Friday to book the car in for a front and rear pad and rotor replacement. I specified the make and model and asked that the parts be ordered in advance to minimize the wait time. I was very clear that the car was an Audi SQ5 and even went so far as to specify the rotor diameters for the front and rear to be doubly sure that the quote given was correct and the right parts ordered. I arrived Monday morning and left the car. At 10.30am I received a call from Victor to tell me that my car had the big brakes and that it would be about $400 more than the quote. I informed him that the quote I asked for was for an SQ5 and that there is only one rotor size available for the SQ5 and that was the big ones, so I was not happy that he had given me the wrong information previously. I informed him that he could go ahead and do the rear pads/rotors but to put the original parts back on the front and that I would source the job elsewhere as their price adjustment was well above other quotes I had. I picked up the car in the afternoon and when i was in the store the manager informed me that there were in fact 3 rotor options for the SQ5 and that mine we just the expensive ones. I again informed the staff that there is only one rotor option for the SQ5. The manager also claimed that my car had the big calipers with 6 pistons, In fact it has 2 pistons... I paid, left and noticed a noise from the brakes but put it down to new rear pads and rotors bedding in. The next morning I noticed a considerable noise, this time clearly coming from the front right, a kind of knocking noise when the brakes were applied and a similar noise when coasting as well. It was clear that something was not correct. I went back to the shop that morning and informed the manager (Stephen) that there was something wrong and it needed to be resolved. He asked that I leave the car with them until the afternoon, I stated that I wanted to be present while they were resolving the issue because it was clear from he previous interactions that they had made some errors with the brakes. He informed me that I could not watch from inside the workshop but I was allowed to do so from the outside. I agreed and we were discussing the timeframe to get the car into the shop (Stephen wanted me to wait 3 hours) when all of a sudden a man identifying himself as the regional manager appears from the back office area and told me that I was not welcome in the store and that I had to leave. To say i was stunned is a big understatement. I was literally in the process of resolving the issue with Stephen when this person interrupted and demanded that I leave the shop. I walked out and he followed me outside, threatened to beat me and at one point he walked up to me and pushed his nose into my nose in an extremely threatening manner. It was simply the most threatening experience I have ever had in a shop or anywhere for that matter. I left and called your head office to report the matter. I am awaiting a call from the NorCal manager as I type this. There will be video from inside the shop to confirm the above.
People here are great, they all have a great sence of humor and took my vehicle in right away.
Work was done ok. Their was confusion with the discounted pricing program I was using. Up sell was an issue also. Not in a nice area. Be careful if you take a walk..
Was good. Just took a little longer than expected. But no regrets. All good.
DO NOT TAKE LOWERED CAR HERE! The store manager that was on duty the day I went gave great service, and ensured me that the car was gonna be treated right, later called me saying my car wouldn t be able to get on the alignment machine because my car was too low from my coilovers(IMO my car is not even close to low). Went to a different shop for an alignment where I thought no way I was going to get up there considering these guys couldn t, got up perfectly fine. Don t know what happened at wheelworks but don t want to give a 1-star because the office service was great.
These guys are top notch. Every time we come in we are greeted with a smile a great customer service. The work they have done with our two Subaru s is excellent. Highly recommend this Wheel Works.
Very bad service, the employees have bad character, I took my truck to an inspection and they didnt do it right. I knew that the truck was bad, the suspension needed shock absorbers and they didnt detect that. They only wanted to sell me new tires as they were going to sell me new tires knowing that the Are shock absorbers bad? So it means that they didnt inspect the truck properly, they just wanted my money to sell tires. If they had told me ok, their shock absorbers are useless, we also have to replace their tires, so yes, I give them my trust, but they only told me the tires mean that they dont do their job well, be careful people, dont ball there.
Terrible place.. They charge you for stuff they didnt fix..
Bad customer service. Had a confirmed appointed on 9/9 at 10am and nobody was there and they where supposed to open at 9am. I will never consider Wheel works again.
They lied about my tire rotation. I numbered my tires so I can see how honest they were since I always had my doubts about how they rotate them and they simply do not do it if you are not around to see them do it. Two times they did it correctly but this last time since I was not presented, they failed to actually rotate the tires. Not coming back to this location.
Always have great service here.
A bit busy, so the wait is long. But got good standard service
These guys are helpful and do good work. Tire and alignment warranty paid off this time.
It was good they were very helpful and nice!
$$$ long waiting time. poor auto work on my car, they did front wheel alignment on my car,it did not need .I will not bring my car.to wheelers again.
had to wait two hours longer than they had promised
Bad service, I wasted the whole day for a couple of yantas and thats what happened to you at 8 in the morning
Do I really have to give a star???? I went there with my car that barely made it to the shop without shutting down. They checked the battery and I was told that they were bringing a new one.... literally 2 hrs later I was told they sent the wrong battery and that the one my car has is RARE, that the only place that had it was Stockton and instead of the previous charge of $159, I would end up paying double. Well I almost went with it because I really need my car to go to school and get my kids. A mechanic friend told me to tell them that never mind and to place my battery back and recharge it. Well they said they don t recharge batteries but they will power it enough for me to get home which is a few blocks away... they did not like the fact that I refused to pay double and to make them put my battery back... turns out Costco has my kind of battery for $80!!!!!!! Yeah it s smaller and different brand but that was the battery in their manual book. My friend placed it and my car sounds like new!!!!!! PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE NOT GETTING RIPPED OFF and get info before paying. They can tell when someone is in a desperate situation and are fast to take advantage of anyone!!!!!!!
Love this place! They really take care of their customers and are super friendly. Never had a bad experience with them. Ask for Victor he is the best !
Great service
Its okay, they just get more details.
In short: - they tried to up-sell tires two times in 24hours. Watch out! the tires Bridgetone Ecopia EP422 are not Ecopia EP 422 PLUS! If your installed tires do not spell PLUS in full letter on them, you have the low cost version for the PLUS price. Do not let them tell you it is the same but not written blablabla. If it is not written on the tire Ecopia EP 422 PLUS fully then, they are the version at $55.98 and not $104.99. This fact has been confirmed on the phone by Bridgestone themselves - They do not respect their customers time. My appointment was at 10:00 at 12:30 the car was not even on the lift... they did not have the courtesy to give any heads up of the delay. Here is the full story of how they tried to up-sell two times in 24 hours. By taking the time to describe, Im in hope others wont fall for it. When I called to know if they had the tires and to take an apt is the first time they tried to up-sell it. Here is how the conversation went: ... I would like to have a quote for the Bridgetone Ecopia EP422 in size 185/65R15 for my Prius 2007. the answer. sure, we can help you with that. Bridgetone Ecopia EP422 PLUS in size 185/65R15 installation etc will be a total of $600. The PLUS are just the update of the EP422, just more mileage guaranty, we do not have the EP422 in stock anymore me yes but the EP PLUS are $104.99 when the others are $55.98 him oh my mistake, we still have some and it will be a total of 416.60 I then took my appointment for 10:00 the following morning. My daughter was going to get the tires installed for me and luckily, I insisted for her to make sure they would install the right tire at the right price. When she arrived at the facility with the printed quote, Victor looked at the quote and told her the quote was wrong. He did the quote with ... the Bridgetone Ecopia EP422 PLUS for $600! So she told him she was warned and knew she had come for the EP422 and not EP422 PLUS. So either he would sell the right tire at the right price or she would leave. He miraculously looked again in the computer and said it was the system that was not showing the right tires on the first screen... Since they did not do anything with the car for 2 hours and a half and did not even tell her they had a huge delay when she had the appointment, she left without any tire. For sure, we wont be back to a supplier who doesnt seem to be honest and do not respect his customers time. At this stage, I even wonder if those who pay for Bridgetone Ecopia EP422 PLUS do get the PLUS. If the PLUS is not spelled on the tire, they are the Ecopia EP422 ! you paid $$ for a tire that worth $. I hope this will help others.
Friendly and knowledgeable
Thanks for nothing. Went in 30 min prior to closing for a flat repair that was off the car. They didnt have to dismount or even mount the wheel.. Sorry cant do it..its too late. Ok Ill take my business elsewhere...
One of the worst place to come they say they open till 6 but they stop taking people by 1:30 to 2:00 if youre willing to take the risk go ahead for it
Last week I waited for 20 min then finally someone showed up at the front counter. They rudely said they couldnt help me with a flat tire and told me to come back another day because they close in less than an hour. Its not right to leave my Grandmother and I stranded like that. DISGUSTING MANAGEMENT. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
I went in four times to get a tire mounted under my bed. They couldnt even say that a spare tire would not fit due to the aftermarket exhaust!! Fifteen seconds at Five Points and they knew...They continually thought one would....ordered the wrong tire one trip...next trip the wheel was brought home...miscommunication....final time there...wrong tire...I had exhaust redirected....could not understand the significance after three times on phone....worker got mad....I got my wheel, went to Five Points and was out in twenty minutes with a Cooper Discoverer for same price as a firestone AT....
These guys are great! Friendly and fast service, done right.
Friendly and professional staff but wait times can be aggravating. Be prepared to wait 5 hours+ to have your oil changed on the weekend.
Horrible service. Went in for a flat repair and waited almost a hour for them only to tell me they could not fix it and I had to buy a new tire.
Made an appointment for a LOF and tire rotation at 11a. Upon arrival I was told I would have to wait at least 2 hours before service! I understand maybe a 1/2 hour, but 2 hours when you have an appointment! They had my phone number and they could call have called me advising such, since I had an appointment! What good is an appointment! Is this anyway to run a business? Apparently this is how they value their customers. Went up the street and had the work done promptly at Titos Auto Repair - no wait and same price.
Terrible service!! I took my car to get it fixed and they charged me near $500 to fix it, then I realized the problem was still there so I decided to take it to a different mechanic and to my surprise they hadnt fixed my car!! There asswholes charged me for a service they didnt do! Just stole my money!
Does a good job
Had a reasonably good experience changing my tires here. Prices were competitive.
They got my brakes and routers done quickly.
This place is a joke
Dont go! I did a appointment and had to wait 2 hours to be attended. Worst attend ever!
They dont do there job!!! They didnt do the service on my car so it caused my car much damage. I had to pay for new parts. Would never recommend.
Horrible Service: Made an appointment at 2pm and arrived at 2pm sharp. Told the service rep (Philip Lee) that I had an appointment and he didnt even look and tell me that it wont be ready by end of the day because there are many walk-in customers and ask me if I could leave the car for mininum 3 hours. While making the appointment I explicitely checked the box that I will wait for the car on-site. With Philips bad attitude, and wont even try to squeeze me in-between services. this kind of customer service is totally un-acceptable. I will not go back to Wheel Works. American Tires offered to patch my tire on the spot without waiting for free even if I didnt change tires there.
Hats off to these guys who helped me out yesterday, I somehow punctured my tire driving across the SM bridge and needed to get my tire fixed quickly so I could make it back home to the East bay. It was close to closing time when they allowed me to show up and then they fixed my tire quickly and I was back on the road. I am SOO grateful and want to thank Victor and the whole team. I really appreciated it!
I will always recommend friends and family to this place. I am extremely happy with the service I received yesturday. Regardless of how busy they were, the level of professionalism did not alter. Victor helped meet all our needs financially and information wise. The price range is just right and the wait time on a Saturday for a walk in was unexpectedly quick. If you need tires and service on your vehicle, this is the place to come to.
Weve been bringing our cars here for years, and have always had great service. They even rotate for free, and have given free service for nails in our tires. Prices are always competitive, just allow for a few hours for them to do it right.
Ive had good experiences at this Shop. So I was pretty surprised when reading some of the negative reviews. The shop team along with Victor have been great. Although they do get busy, they get the job done. There was one instance that I needed a tire fixed. It was late afternoon on a Sunday. I noticed a nail in the back passenger tire. I couldnt wait to get it fixed the next day, because I had to be at work that night and my commute to work was about an hour. I called Wheel Works, spoke to Victor and explained my situation. He assured me that even though they were closing in 45 minutes he would wait to help me out. Who does that? Obviously not many, but a good shop with happy employees does. Thank you Wheel works team and Victor!
My car wouldn t start so it was towed to the Wheel Works location in Redwood City, late afternoon on a Thursday. They said they couldn t look at it until Friday. First thing on Friday they already had the hood up on my car and were looking at it. I figured I d know what was wrong with my car and get my car back in no time. It was getting close to noon, and there was no word from the shop yet. I call them and was told the manager was putting together an estimate and would be getting back to me shortly. I asked what was wrong with my car and the person on the phone just said the manager would be calling me. Two and a half or three hours later, still no call from the manager so I had to call again. This time they put the manager on the phone. The manager then tells me they were having trouble finding the part for my car. He said there was a crack in my distributor and that the closest one they could find was in Texas. He said if paid extra they could get it shipped here quicker. I didn t want to pay extra and the manager said they would keep looking. A little over an hour later the manager calls back and said they found a distributor for my car and gave me a quote. Now that it was 4:00 4:30 on a Friday afternoon it was too late for me to take my car anywhere else. If I wanted my car for the weekend I had to pay whatever they wanted. When I went to pick up my car I asked for the old part. The manager gave me the part and when I asked him to show me the crack, he said he couldn t. I paid for my car and left. So this is where we are, They lied to me at noon when they said the manager was putting an estimate together. If he couldn t find the part yet he couldn t put an estimate together. The manager lied to me when he said he couldn t find my distributor locally. After investigating it, I found that the part is readily available locally either as new or remanufactured, which wasn t even given to me as an option. Now the kicker, my distributor was not cracked in the first place, and did not need to be replaced. I took the old distributor to a reliable mechanic who looked at it and said there was nothing wrong with it. The only problem was that the coil was cracked, which is an easily replaceable part. So the manager intentionally lied to me, and put me off so that I didn t have enough time to find someone else to look at my car. Then the manager intentional did work on my car that was not even necessary. Then I had to paid his over-inflated price. Don t use this place, as they are dishonest and will over charge you if they get a chance. Instead of doing the right thing in the first place, they are more interested in upselling you. Trying to steal more of your money. This is exactly why mechanics get a bad name.
